Co-Founders

Dhalia Events is an award winning event production company & was recently named "Best Planners in the Northeast" by LuxLife Magazine. Our magic is borne out of an insistence on creating bespoke, highly personalized experiences. We focus on the uniqueness of our couples by encouraging them to be their most authentic and raw selves. We've commissioned events for large brands such as Volvo Cars and worked with top tier social media influencers to plan their events. Our team has also worked regionally and internationally producing gatherings including destination weddings & corporate retreats. Our couples book us for the following reasons:

1. Our co-founders are educated at MBA level with corporate experience in the luxury brand and design industry, coupled with on the ground experience in the event industry. Melissa also trained directly under the Abigail Kirsch team in NY. 2. Deliece worked as a professional dancer/choreographer for over 15 years. She has a unique eye for creating moments that pull out the nuances of our couples' personalities. Melissa also has a corporate finance background and is always thinking about logistics and delivery of the end product. 3. Our couples love that they can call us friends, while also knowing that their events will always take priority.

Like this flower, our collection is all encompassing. The entire event is managed by our team with minimal involvement needed from our clients.

We understand the importance of creating events that are away from home but that still feel authentic and reflective of our couples and their personalities.

Our Duet collection matches this perfectly, as our service is equally combined with our clients' efforts. The Duet is most suitable for events where our clients are interested in partnering 50/50 with throughout the entire process.

𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐛𝐮𝐝: The "AC Rosebud" dahlia has a yellow center that grows into deep red or purple tips. We fashion our Rosebud collection similarly by taking the work our clients have already done (the yellow center/buds) and bringing it together beautifully on the big day.

    I cannot recommend Dhalia Events more! Melissa and Deliece are truly pros. I went into the wedding planning process thinking that I would have everything under control, but they go above and beyond and helped me with details that I wouldn't have even thought of. They made the process so seamless and really planned everything perfectly, so during the wedding, we were able to fully relax and enjoy the night. In addition to Melissa and Deliece's help throughout the entire process, Antonia's help on the day of the wedding was crucial to its success and the whole team really made our wedding absolutely perfect.

    Deliece & Melissa were integral to the success of our beautiful wedding, and life savers in their day-of coordination of the event. I selected a ten week package where my fiancée and I selected our vendors and personalized the event to our tastes, but in the two and a half months leading up to the big day they dove in head first to get a handle on every detail and help us polish off any items on our to do list that we were struggling with. After hours of meetings to extract information that had been swirling around in my brain for a year, we were provided with a minute by minute timeline of the day, along with an entire decision making workbook that lead us through ceremony choices, first dance planning and a comprehensive item inventory to make sure no detail was left behind. They provided a budgeting workbook that made my little accountant heart flutter, and offered guidance based on years of practical experience working events and seeing how guests congregate and react to specific elements. Once their package kicked in I was able to pass off tasks that were stressing me out and know that they were being handled completely. Their additional day-of team member, Antonia, shadowed me (the bride) for most of the day and acted like a fairy godmother—handing me an already opened bottle of water or much needed electric fan, provided hair pins out of thin air, tackling my complicated bustle, and generally being warm, pleasant, and comforting in moments of anxiety. She melted into the background when I was on, and offered a protective enclave to sink back into when I needed a minute. The Dhalia team was flawless in their execution of the plan, and tactful in their handling of complex family relationships and herding of guests. Their pricing was clear and uncomplicated, and they were happy to answer straightforward questions with concise answers and no awkwardness or pressure to spend more than planned. Alanis Morissette prepared me for the possibility of rain on my wedding day, but Dhalia made sure my vision still came together perfectly! Thank you so much!!

    Melissa and Deliece make a truly amazing planning team! We had a long (2 year) engagement and booked Dhalia Events as our planners roughly 18 months before the actual wedding day, but that didn't stop them from going above and beyond from the start. Not only that, they were always extremely organized, receptive to feedback, and wanted to make sure they understood exactly what we wanted/envisioned for our special day. From helping organize the budget, to corresponding with vendors/venue, to being absolute rockstar day-of coordinators, we couldn't have been happier with our choice to book Dhalia.     After I got off the phone with Deliece to learn more about Dhalia Events, I immediately knew they were the one for us. Working together with Deliece, Melissa, and the Dhalia Events team made our lives so much easier as we had been struggling to move forward with planning our wedding since we live in CA but having a wedding in NY. The monthly check-in meetings and all of the research and expertise they provided us were so well-organized and super helpful. From deciding our vendors and all the way to the day of our wedding, Deliece and her team were always friendly and professional, keeping you engaged and on track with everything! They eased all of our anxiety and worries and made sure that our wedding day would be perfect. I cannot recommend them enough, they were an amazing team to work with and easily the best decision we've made. It was an absolute pleasure to have them by our sides for our big day.
