Oh my goodness - from the very first contact with Terri via email I knew I made the right decision contacting her . Terri is THERE FOR YOU the entire ride. Terri jumped in right away to help my fiancé and I secure our first look location which was not a typical location as we asked the pub we met at for our first date if we could use it. I am a high anxious person, detail orientated and wanted things to be PERFECT. That usually means I take care of everything myself but that is a no go with Terri. Terri listens actively to what you want and makes sure that happens. Her energy, her compassion around my stress and her absolute fiery passion that she has for the work she does makes her an 11/10. Our big day wouldn't have been the success it was without her!

I’m not even sure where to begin to describe how amazing Events by McKenna is at what they do!! McKenna is the most kind, helpful, and enthusiastic person to assist you during such an important time in your life. She made sure everything went perfectly on our wedding day and every day leading up to it! When we first started our wedding planning journey, we only knew where we wanted to have it, and due to the venue location not regularly being used for weddings, we needed to outsource vendors for everything. That's where McKenna came in and helped us out by hand-picking every vendor that she knew would provide the exact things we were looking for. From catering, florals, furniture rentals, DJ, and all the little details, she knew who would be perfect for the job and she was right about every single one! Every time we had a question or a crazy idea, she had an answer right away and she would do everything she could to make it happen. One thing that we were really hoping for was getting a disco ball above our dance floor, but since we were outdoors, it wasn’t looking promising. McKenna was the one who made sure that we got our disco ball, and it was absolutely perfect! That’s just one example of the many ways McKenna ensured our dream wedding would become a reality. On the day of, McKenna and her team were so efficient and handled everything so that my husband and I could relax and focus on ourselves. We got to our venue and everything was already done and ready to start the day! McKenna was amazing at time management throughout the day, and she was so helpful to not only us, but our families, wedding party and guests as well. Everything went perfectly on schedule and all the crazy ideas that we had came to life with no issues! My husband and I attempted to plan our entire wedding ourselves, but about 4-5 months prior I totally panicked when I realized I just didnt know what I didnt know; Enter Liz (a godsend!). Liz is fantastic to work with - she's calm, well organized, and creative. Exactly what you need from a planner! Liz helped us think of every last thing we needed to prep for before our wedding weekend so that there weren't any surprises. Liz interfaced extremely well with our other vendors and kept them on track leading up to and day of. She kept everyone informed as we developed and fine tuned our detailed day of schedule, which ensured everything went smoothly. When it comes to creativity, Liz is who you want in your corner. She has a talent for calligraphy and hand wrote all of our place cards, hand painted names on all of the ribbons around our menus (and hunted through stores for the perfect ribbon color), hand painted our table numbers, and got a special stamp made of one of the key design elements throughout our wedding. Liz and her team also constructed 100 welcome bags from the various items I shipped to her and then hand delivered all of them to our different hotel blocks. After our wedding, she and her staff even packed up and stored all the items from the wedding overnight and then delivered them to us the next day. These were the types of things I didn’t know how to plan for (and that kept me up at night) before we hired Liz, and she just simply handled them without an issue. If you are looking for full or partial planning, I highly recommend working with Liz!

We hired a day-of coordinator because although we wanted to own the process of planning the wedding, we did not want to be point persons for vendor questions, logistics, and issues on the day of the wedding. We chose Merry By Mia because we instantly felt like we were in good hands, were reassured by the fact that Mia herself had recently gotten married and knew firsthand what kind of stressors and wrinkles go into a wedding day, and because we were impressed with her podcast. We benefited greatly from working with Merry by Mia! We had a sounding board for questions throughout the planning process, making big undertakings (like finding and booking transportation for 120 people!) much much simpler. And of course, on the day of, we would not have rested nearly as easy if we hadn't known that Mia was there to represent our best interests when we couldn't be there ourselves. We also heavily relied on Mia to understand what we wanted/what was important to us and translate that to our other vendors, especially when we felt we weren't being listened to. This was invaluable to us. Overall, we were incredibly satisfied! From big planning moments down to helping me into my reception dress, the day would not have gone nearly as smoothly without Mia. I would absolutely recommend working with Merry because from my experience, Mia was reliable, understanding, and excited! It means a lot when vendors who live and breathe weddings still have the ability to get as excited over the details as you do. I would say to absolutely prioritize this expense in your budget. For me, I know that if I had allocated that money to any other line item I wouldn't have been able to fully enjoy it because I would be dealing with so much unnecessary stress and wrangling without a point person. Mia went above and beyond, listening to the long list of very particular requests we had and made sure everything was perfect. We're so thankful to her! “
