He was a quick responder when we had questions, and he really understood our vision for our wedding. His website is user-friendly and the professionalism was unmatched. “We cannot recommend Miriam highly enough! She was kind and caring, professional, and extremely good at her job, for a very decent price. She helped our wedding go so smoothly and we are so incredibly grateful she was part of our special day! Our photographer heard we were looking for an officiant for our wedding, and passed along Miriam’s information. From the moment we connected with her, we felt her warm and friendly energy and felt totally at ease about planning our wedding ceremony! Before we met Miriam, we were not really sure what we wanted our wedding to be, but we did know we wanted it to be written by us, and as a queer couple we did not want a “traditional” wedding. It started off feeling overwhelming with so many details to plan overall, but as soon as we met with Miriam, we felt completely at ease and even excited about the process! We threw out some ideas that wove in our New Age/paganistic spiritual beliefs, and Miriam reached out to her pagan priestess friend and did a deep dive researching for our ceremony and coming back to us with so many wonderful ideas. “We only needed to tour one venue, and it was Blenheim. After our initial walkthrough of the space, we were convinced that this was everything that we could want in a venue and then some. Having over 12 years of wedding planning experience, Min and Morten offered us assurance that our wedding day would be executed beautifully- and it was. “It’s hard to even put into words how much Normanside and its staff mean to us. I will rave about Normanside for the rest of my life, and I’m so grateful we chose them for our wedding. Starting from the very beginning, the person we owe the most credit to is Jaimie. She made the planning process seamless and helped all the stress fade away. She was available at any hour of the day (seriously, I’m not kidding!). I was always amazed by how quickly she responded, and then I realized that’s just who she is. From our tastings down to the very last moments of our wedding day, Jaimie executed every detail we asked for…and then some. She has an incredible eye for detail and helped make our reception absolutely gorgeous. If I could make a pocket-sized version of Jaimie and carry her around with me for the rest of my life, I would. The rest of the staff were just as amazing. Our families and guests had such a blast with our bartender, Rick, and seeing two of the younger staff members jump out on the dance floor later in the evening was such a fun surprise! Normanside never made us feel like a burden- everyone was enthusiastic, kind, and eager to help in any way they could. Our guys had so much fun golfing on Friday, and on the wedding day itself, we never had a single worry because we knew Jaimie and the staff had everything handled. The food, the venue, the service- everything was exceptional. To them, it may have been just another weekend, but they made us feel like our wedding was just as important to them as it was to us. “Brookledge is such a wonderful spot. Our wedding weekend was literally perfect! Not only because of the beautiful venue, but because of the amazing personalities behind Brookledge. Helen, Amber, and the rest of the staff make everything happen for their Brookledge couples and guests. One of my wedding guests mentioned how calm and relaxed our wedding felt, and that is exactly how I felt the entire weekend as well. The power ended up going out during our reception, and Amber already had a back up plan to keep the show running. All of our guests that stayed the weekend complimented how cute and fun the venue was, and we were lucky enough to be the first ones to use the new Trolley and Jean & Lise cabin! The rest of our guests have been raving about the venue as well. If you are considering Brookledge as your wedding venue, or even just a quick stay in one of their various lodging spots, DO IT!!!!
