We recently photographed and filmed a client’s wedding at the idyllic and serene Seven Ponds Farm. As photographers, we could not ask for a more naturally picturesque setting than what the Farm provides. The Seven Ponds team were wonderful to work alongside, and deftly accommodated our needs as the wedding weekend progressed. We can’t wait for the next opportunity to come back!

Seven Pond has one of the most beautiful views for a ceremony location. It looks over the Catskill mountains and amazing ponds and fields. It is for a more intimate wedding, with a lovely farm venue, a lovely home to get ready in and a fire pit. The staff is professional, friendly, and efficient. The food along with their sister venue Blenheim Hill Farm is absolutely amazing! Highly recommend this venue.

What a gorgeous, intimate venue! My family knew the last 2 couples to live on this property, so we know the area and the property very well. While I hate to encourage people to go out into the more remote areas of the Catskills (I do prefer conservation), this venue was truly everything I had hoped for and more. First of all, the property is gorgeous. Rolling hills and dark mountains in the background; ponds and wild flowers in the foreground - absolutely stunning. There are chickens, cows and sheep for the city folks to fawn over & the areas for rehearsal dinner, reception and cocktails are adorable, cozy and lit so romantically. There's a spectacular view every way you look! The farmhouse is also wonderful. Each room was comfortable and nicely decorated - the house itself is large without being echo-y and small without being claustrophobic. It felt just like home! Plus, it's connected directly to the barn where the reception is, which was incredibly convenient particularly for those in high heels... Secondly, the staff. Every one of them was so attentive, kind, considerate & helpful! They went above and beyond to make sure everything happened the way we wanted (even if we didn't know it). We're not a particularly needy couple, but we were taken aback by their generosity! They were all so friendly and communicative - it was excellent. Shout out to Jab and Danielle for their spectacular efforts - keeping close track of the weather (it was rainy) and making sure we could have the ceremony outside while ensuring that Plan B was set up and ready to go! We ended up doing the ceremony outdoors as planned, once the skies cleared and the rest of the evening was like a fairy-tale. The planning leading up to the wedding was very helpful. The staff at Seven Ponds met us at their sister restaurant in Manhattan (Blenheim) for the initial briefing, food tasting & other meetings to iron out details. They were always accommodating and made sure the whole check list was accounted for. They provided all the documents we needed to plan out the dinner, the farmhouse room allocations and more! It was all a bit overwhelming for me - I'm really not the "typical" bride and was at times uncomfortable with the attention & detailed questions - but the team was thorough and I appreciate that more (cheers to my now husband for taking things on when my anxiety took me over...) Thirdly, the food was outstanding. The hor d'oeuvres, the dinner, the after party tacos, the EVERYTHING was absolutely DELICIOUS. I wish I hadn't been so busy so that I could have enjoyed it all more. Seriously tho, if you're thinking about doing the late night snacks, CHOOSE THE TACOS. Holy h*** they were amazing... Also, definitely invest in the fried chicken! All in all, this place was excellent. I had a delightful wedding - couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out :)

I cannot say enough about our wedding and experience with Seven Ponds Farm. Among many things, Erik and I are foodies and environmentalists, and Seven Ponds Farm represents those two aspects flawlessly. The forethought that owners Min and Morten put into every detail of Seven Ponds, is what makes this place truly unique. From the gorgeous vistas, to the handcrafted details of the farmhouse, every aspect has been carefully planned to make for a dream come true venue. Once you fall in love with the venue, and can’t imagine having your wedding anywhere else, it only gets better. I tend to be slightly OCD, and detail orientated, and I think have met my match in Carol! I did not stress nor worry at any point through the planning process! Carol knows what she is doing and took care of everything! She walked me through every detail until I was happy, and even brought up things I wouldn’t have thought of. I cannot express how much I enjoyed working with her! She is a gem, with a great sense of humor, and an ease about her. I don’t think that I could pick out my one favorite part of our wedding, but if I had to, the food definitely would be towards the top of that list! So many weddings I have been to, is the same dried out chicken, and over sauced meat. Fortunately, you will not find anything like that at Seven Ponds! Just the opposite, you and your guests will think you are eating at an elegant 5-star restaurant. The food is delectable, unique, and full of flavor. Our guest kept saying “This is real food.” And I could not agree more, it’s a real farm to table experience for your taste buds. And the marzipan cake (drool), is the perfect ending to your meal. It is just the right amount of sweetness, while still being light and airy. If the incredible team, and food weren’t enough the venue itself is picturesque. Set among gorgeous views of the mountains, valleys and ponds, everywhere you look is a treat for your eyes. The renovated barn is just as spectacular, with the kayak chandelier and the handmade wooden tables and chairs. One last added perk, Mina! She is a love! She along with Carol made sure everything was taken care, and all the details were in place. This even include freshly made berry muffins delivery in the morning while we were staying at the farmhouse. I cannot overstate the rustic sophistication of this venue, and Min and Morten and their team. Every need from beginning to end was met. If you are looking for a wedding venue, contact Min and Morten at Seven Ponds.
