Columbia Ballroom
Birch Hill Catering's grand ballroom.
Providing space for up to 450+ guests, the Columbia Ballroom is our largest indoor venue. With a soaring cloudlike ceiling, 5,400 square foot dance floor, customizable L.E.D accents, and a 15-foot long firewall on the attached patio, it is the Capital Region’s #1 party choice for couples.

The Columbia Ballroom, has a $17,000 minimum on a Friday/ Sunday and a $19,000 minimum on a Saturday. The minimum spend is not a rental fee, rather a required subtotal spend on food and beverage prior to tax and administration.

The Grand Pavilion is a spacious, open-air venue that blends the beauty of the outdoors with the comfort of a covered event space. With room to expand into the surrounding outdoor areas, it can accommodate events of 500+ guests. Its flexible layout allows for dining, dancing, and entertainment, making it an ideal setting for weddings and large-scale celebrations in any style.

Above and Beyond Amazing
Wow! Birch Hill was the most amazing venue and caterer. Many of our guests came up to us just to tell us how great the staff were and how delicious the food. Their manager Serena was fantastic! She helped us tremendously with the logistics and asked great questions that helped us plan for our wedding. The day of the wedding was smooth, allowing us to show up and simply be present. We had a great experience with Birch Hill from start to finish.

From start to finish, Birch Hill Catering & Estate made our wedding day feel effortless. Serena was responsive and full of creative ideas during planning, and on the big day, she and Cathleen kept everything running like clockwork. We said our vows at the Pond Pergola with perfect weather and celebrated in the Conservatory Ballroom, which felt intimate yet grand. The food was seriously delicious, our guests couldn't stop talking about the coconut shrimp, prime rib, and s'mores on the patio. The whole team went out of their way to make sure we felt taken care of, and the space itself is just stunning. We'd recommend Birch Hill to anyone looking for a venue that's both beautiful and genuinely easy to work with.

The Perfect Venue for a Fall Wedding
This was a perfect venue. Originally, we chose it for the food - the chefs are all CIA trained and the menu was very important to my husband. As we continued to work with them, Serena was wonderful. As an event planner myself, I appreciated her knowledge and professionalism, and her willingness to make just about anything I asked for happen. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish, she made a number of excellent suggestions for things I hadn't even thought of that I incorporated into the day and, at the end of the night, she airdropped me something like 70 photos that she'd been taking throughout the day, which were wonderful to look through the next morning. I had an excellent experience here, and I would absolutely book another big event with Birch Hill and Serena.

Excellent venue!
A wonderful venue run by outstanding people. 5 stars is not enough of a rating. Serena and her staff did an amazing job for my daughters wedding. She even handled an issue that was not hers. We can't say enough about her. I highly recommend Birch Hill Estate.

The venue itself is gorgeous, with beautiful scenery and a perfect indoor/outdoor space for our celebration. Joanne went above and beyond to make our day exactly what we envisioned - she adapted to any changes that came up, coordinated everything seamlessly, and ensured that our wedding was truly special and beautiful in every way.
