Cathy founded Cathy's Elegant Events in 2010. Although she was born in NYC, her family moved to the Catskill Mountains at a young age, but they maintained a home in Brooklyn. This allowed her to have a unique upbringing in both Upstate New York and Brooklyn, where many of her relatives still reside. Cathy holds a degree in Mathematics and Statistics.
