Sanctuary Events Co. is a full-service wedding design and planning collective founded by Téa Monet in New York City. After years working with brands, high-end planners, and fashion shows, Téa built Sanctuary to be exactly what its name promises: a held, safe space for couples navigating the most important day of their lives. We offer full planning and design, partial planning, and month-of coordination for weddings in NYC, the Hudson Valley, Southern California, and destination markets including Portugal and Mexico. The planning feels like Sanctuary. The event feels like you.

Sanctuary is a design-led wedding planning collective. Our founder's background is in fashion and brand styling, so every detail, from the stationery suite to the reception tablescape, gets real art direction. Sanctuary is also rooted in community; we champion BIPOC-owned and woman-owned vendors and build every event on relationships, not transactions. We keep our calendar intentionally small, so you're never sharing a wedding weekend with a dozen other couples, and pricing is flat and fully transparent before you ever sign, with payments always going straight from you to your vendors.

Description	Full planning and design for weddings in Portugal, Mexico, the Caribbean, and beyond, with travel and logistics built into the process from day one.	End-to-end planning and full creative direction from engagement to "I do." Includes vendor sourcing and booking, budget management, mood boards and decor direction, comprehensive guest management (RSVPs, dietary tracking, room blocks, guest FAQ line), and uncapped day-of execution with a full onsite team.	For couples who've already booked their venue, catering, photographer, and videographer. Sanctuary manages the remaining vendor bookings, design direction, and guest-management basics (RSVP, dietary, room block), moving to weekly check-ins as the wedding approaches, with uncapped day-of execution.	In the final month before the wedding, Sanctuary confirms vendors, builds the timeline, and runs up to 10 hours of day-of execution, so the couple can be fully present on their wedding day.

A Woman That Gets The Job Done
Hire Tea Shepherd for your wedding if you want a detailed oriented, kind, calm presence with flawless execution! I was in utter shambles when my ceremony venue fell through and Tea sprung into action. The Best Decision We Made for Our Wedding
We cannot recommend Tea and Sanctuary Events enough. From our very first conversation, Tea kept us organized, on track, and genuinely calm through what can be an overwhelming process — we truly don't know how we would have gotten through those final two months without her. On the wedding day itself, she was absolutely everywhere at once in the best possible way. Best wedding coordinator / planner!
We bootstrapped our wedding - from sourcing the vendors to building the vibe, we thought we could do it all but realized we needed someone to bring opinion, ask the hard questions and tighten the logistics of our big day. We are so glad we worked with Tea and Sanctuary Events. Working with them allowed us to focus on our wedding, not worrying about the planning and logistical details of the wedding. The best wedding coordinator - worth it!
Working with Tea as our day of coordinator was such a relief from start to finish. She communicated clearly about every detail and kept everything organized without making it feel stressful. She jumped in head first 4 weeks before our day and allowed us to be at ease during the lead up. On our wedding day, we didn't have to worry about anything because Tea had it all handled. She was there making sure everything ran smoothly while we actually got to enjoy the moment.
