Defiance Hall is a 10,000 sf, authentically restored historic building with reaching mountain views built in 1820. We focus our venue on weddings for up to 125 guests, allowing the event to flow inside and outside the property with arrival cocktail receptions on our outdoor terrace & creekside area or inside in a welcoming space. Dining typically takes place in the main hall, while wedding vows, dancing, and afterparties are held upstairs in The Loft. We offer a full suite of amenities, including liquor and commercial kitchen licenses. We offer in-house or third-party catering. We are an upscale wedding venue with both inside and outside seating located directly on picturesque Lake Ontario with our 1600 square foot dock over it. The Barrack’s Inn stone center building was the first building built in the War of 1812 to be the bakery. It is on the historic national register. Inside we can seat 150 people, while outside we can seat an additional 100 people. We are happy to make any and all food requests and we feature all-inclusive packages which include: flowers, table decorating, music, photography, cake and desserts, ceremony, favors and all food and beverages.
