About this venue

With twin views of the Adirondacks to the west and the Green Mountains to the east, what is not to like? Build your dream wedding on 20 acres of expansive lawn and meadow. Or choose to host a micro-wedding in our post-and-beam barn. Hang out in our comfortable Adirondack chairs by the fire pit or catch a game of volleyball. Kick back and enjoy each other’s company in the Vermont countryside.

Twin View Barn at Whitford House

The Sky is the Limit! Open lawn and meadow with eastern and western Mountain Views. You fill in the blanks however you wish.

Barn is for micro-weddings, only. Most weddings will require tent rental. (No reasonable limit for number of guests.). Barn may also be used for dressing space for bride, groom and/or wedding party. Lodging in the loft is included for the bride and groom or another party of their choosing.

Description

Main House offers 3 bedrooms, located in restored, 18th-century Vermont farmhouse. Includes queen or king-sized bed, private bath, tiled shower — some with cast iron tub — wide-board pine floors, antiques and original artwork. Complimentary breakfast may be arranged. Guest House offers 850 s.f. of pure comfort, with king-sized bed, living room, kitchenette and grand bathroom with shower, cast-iron tub and heated stone floor. Mountain views/patio. Quoted prices are for 2 nights double-occ.

Most weddings are held outdoors, under rented tent. Most the accessible property consists of lawn. Handicap portable restroom would need to be rented.
Alcohol must be served by an insured provider.
For those not lodging at Whitford House, on-site parking is allowed on lawn. However, bus transport rental is highly encouraged from hotels to venue to avoid drinking & driving.

Your reservation includes Friday set-up, optional use for rehearsal dinner, Saturday wedding ceremony and reception and Sunday morning for optional breakfast and clean-up. Checkout by 11:00 AM. Any additional time will be billed at $200 per hour.
Booking fees for Twin View Barn, and all payments made, including deposits, are non-refundable. 50% deposit upon booking; balance no later than 60 days prior to event. 100% of lodging fees are payable when booked and are 50% refundable (Covid-related only) if we can rebook the room.
Burlington International Airport is about 50 minutes’ drive. Requires rental vehicle.
You will need to get insurance for Bride & Groom. (Around $100 depending upon number of guests.). In addition, all vendors must provide proof of appropriate liability insurance.
