Avisuals
Akiem has built a young and successful career as a content creator in the professional sports industry. He has worked with respectable brands including, USA Hockey, USA Soccer, NFL Flag, RISE and more. However, during 2020 COVID put a stop on sports, and that allowed him to discover a new passion- an undeniable love for wedding photography and videography “I want my clients to experience my love for creativity and storytelling through serving them on the most important day of their lives.”
I approach each wedding with a DESIRE to SERVE in telling stories or capturing the day. I believe that is what separates me from all others. It's never about me and what I do. It's always about YOU, the groom, and the bride. I love doing this so much and I'm better because of it.

Phenomenal Event Photographer and Videographer
From the moment we booked AVisuals for our wedding, we were impressed by their clear, concise, and efficient communication style. Akiem and his team were incredibly creative, flexible, and well-prepared on our wedding day. They went above and beyond to capture every special moment, including some truly beautiful and candid shots between my wife and I. We were absolutely thrilled with the final photos and video - the quality of their work was truly amazing, and we couldn't be happier with the value they provided. We highly recommend AVisuals to any couple looking for a talented, professional, and personable wedding photography team.
Bride
My husband and I hired Akiem for both our engagement photo shoot and for our wedding day. Akiem is really nice and very knowledgeable photographer. We had a great experience with him during both days and are very happy with the pictures. He also filmed our wedding ceremony but unfortunately, there were some issues and some sections of the ceremony were missed, most likely due to the small space the ceremony was in. Because of a prior agreement, we did not have to pay for the video so although it was a little sad to miss those parts, we are still very happy to have the video to remember our big day. Overall, Akiem is very professional and he made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. The price we paid felt very fair and reasonable. We enjoyed having him photograph our big day and would recommend him for future couples!
My wedding day
I had my deam wedding. Mr akiem came from Minnesota to North Carolina for my wedding day. He took our video and he was the photographer. This man was dictated to make it to my wedding on May the 24 2025. So if you are looking for a great and awesome video and photography mr I akiam is the one. I still look at my wedding video and my pictures. I have my wedding pictured on Facebook.
Blocked, Ignored, and Never Refunded”
My experience with Akiem Gardner was an absolute nightmare. He canceled our contract the day of my wedding, forcing me to find a last-minute videographer at a much higher cost. From that point on, everything went downhill. Akiem repeatedly promised to refund my money. First, he said he’d send it a week after the wedding. When that day came, he claimed he got a new job and needed another week. After that, he stopped answering calls. When he finally texted back, he said he was “at a wedding” and would send the refund throughout the day—another lie. No refund ever arrived. Our contract is very clear: the full amount must be refunded within 60 days if the vendor cancels. I even reached out on Day 58 to remind him. He asked for extra time and promised to pay in full. But once the day came, he ignored every call, blocked my number, and deleted his Instagram. That tells you everything you need to know. What Akiem did was unprofessional, dishonest, and completely unacceptable—especially to someone on their wedding day. I strongly warn anyone thinking of hiring him: do not trust this vendor with your money or your event.
