“Let me start by saying that we are not the type to write reviews for anybody - good or bad - but for the sake of future individuals/couples looking to book PK and the Mighty Seven we feel obligated to say that if you are looking for a band to entertain whatever party you are hosting you MUST choose PK and the Mighty Seven. To start, Matt was incredibly communicative and responsive during the initial planning stages, promptly responding to e-mails and joining several Zoom calls leading up to our event. We had a vision for our special day and they accommodated each and every one of our requests. On the day of they arrived early and did the necessary prep work to ensure they were fully situated to provide our guests with the night of a lifetime. They took special care to accommodate our unusual first dance request, song recommendations, and the ambiance we sought to instill. We had a wide array of guests and the overwhelmingly consistent feedback we received was that the band was AMAZING. No exaggeration - the majority of our guests said they were the best band they'd ever experienced. If you are getting married or have a special event in their area you will be doing yourselves an immense disservice not to hire them to make your evening as spectacular as you want it to be.”

“Joseph and Erika played a huge part in how special our wedding day was. We genuinely enjoyed every single part of working with them, from the beginning stages including them hearing our vision and vibe for the wedding, during the planning and using the app which made outlining our event and plans so easy, to the event itself where they really engaged all of our guests and got the party going. Even though we had a brunch wedding, Joseph and Erika helped it feel like we were "dancing the night away!" We had so many of our guests immediately after the wedding and for weeks after comment on what talented and amazing musicians Joseph and Erika are and how fun they helped to make our reception. We loved that they included both live renditions of all of our favorite songs as well as had a killer DJ playlist. Definitely don't miss out on the sing along songs. This duo is so easy to work with and they were so gracious when we fumbled a little on the timing of our event and added an additional hour only to their set only weeks before the wedding. All to say, we are just so grateful we found Joseph and Erika! They are gems.”

“We were just married last Saturday and Julian is an absolute dream florist and a must to work with. We cannot thank Julian enough for capturing our wedding vision and creating the most stunning florals for our big day. We had a large wedding with 160 guests and a big dream for our flowers. Julian was incredibly kind, patient, and caring from the very beginning. When we first talked to Julian, he put together a proposal that was beyond any proposal we received elsewhere. He was able to capture exactly what we had in our minds and put everything down on paper. (Not to mention that he is phenomenal on Canva and is able to precisely create digital mockups). We met with Julian multiple times throughout the planning process and he took in all of ideas, was always open to making changes, and ALWAYS made us feel supported and heard. They ended up creating the most stunning cocktail hour arrangements I have ever seen. Some highlights include a gorgeous and plentiful cascading arrangement stemming from the venue's grand piano, colorful bud vases for our cocktail tables, and stunning color-blocked meadow arrangements for on top of our seating display. Julian was able to capture our bright and whimsical personalities through every bud and stem. Our large guest list resulted in a VERY large bridal party. Each bridesmaid held a flower that corresponded with the color of their dresses. The quality of these flowers were unreal and my favorite flowers of the day were the dahlias that my maid of honor held. Dahlias were reaching the last of their season in October, but Julian did everything possible to make sure they were available and had solid back up plans in case there was an early frost. Finally, the ceremony and dinner flower arrangements were the best I've ever seen (I also work in weddings so I've seen a lot!). The Chuppah was an absolute stand out. Full of color, greenery, and depth - Julian stayed during the ceremony to repurpose our Chuppah flowers to a different arch behind the sweetheart table, working his magic during cocktail hour. The sweetheart table cascading arrangement was the perfect focal point and the ballroom tables varied with high and low arrangements that screamed personality and added colorful pops to our very white space. I'm excited to add photos below to show you everything that I've tried to describe here. But Julian, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are passionate, caring, talented, and the type of person that every bride and groom deserves to work with. Thank you for helping to create the happiest day of our lives!”

“We hired DJ El Sid for our August 9th, 2025 wedding, and our reception was an absolute banger. Sid is super talented and is great at reading the crowd likely because he still actively DJs at clubs which is exactly what we were looking for. He had everyone on their feet dancing from our younger crowd of friends and cousins to our older family and friends. You know it’s a good party when you have a dachshund do the limbo and the men’s ties transfer to their head haha. We got SO many compliments on the DJ from our guests! Additionally, Sid did a fantastic job with the ceremony and grand entrances and dances, and MCing. We had 2-3 planning meetings with him via Zoom before the wedding, which were super helpful to get to know each other, ask questions, and share our music tastes and wishes. Fusion function also had an app where we could upload our songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, entrances, first dances, and reception to keep everything organized and give Sid a vibe for our music style. Our wedding was an epic party to remember thanks to DJ El Sid!”

There are so many reasons to hire Cassie, including that she is absolutely a lovely human being, but it really boils down to she will make your whole wedding better, both from your perspective and your guests’. We were definitely that overly anxious couple who thought about eloping at every other decision. Cassie greatly reduced the stress on our plates by doing all the research so we could actually enjoy making the decisions and envisioning our day. Anything we didn’t absolutely love, Cassie would come back to us with new options, helping to fine tune the vision so the day perfectly fit us. When we were worried we were behind schedule or over budget, Cassie and her phenomenal organizational skills always helped reassure us of the timeline and that we were in fact coming in under budget for our wedding. And she did all of this while we lived in California, planning our Massachusetts wedding. At one point during the process, my partner,Cassie, and I were in three different states, but she always found the time to meet and made sure she was always available for us. The day of the wedding, we got so much feedback from our parents and the bridal party that they have never seen a wedding run so smoothly. “From our engagement photos to our wedding day, Jaffer had us feeling at ease and comfortable. Neither of us likes having our picture taken, but it was very comfortable working with him. Both of our families raved about how fun and easy Jaffer was to work with after the big day, and we loved all of our pictures. Genuinely the most easy-going, fun photographer who has interesting shots planned and will guide you to something that is comfortable and representative of you as a couple or family. “It’s impossible to fully express how wonderful PAGU is, both as a standalone restaurant and as a wedding venue. As Cambridge residents, we had eaten here with friends and family and knew the food, drinks, and service were excellent, and I hosted a work event with a partial buy out that everyone enjoyed, so it quickly came to the top of our list after we got engaged and were looking into wedding venues. From the very beginning, the staff, especially event manager Amanda, were so easy to work with, and they were very flexible to make the space, menu, and overall wedding very personal to us. After a cocktail hour with both passed apps and stations, we opted to have a buffet style wedding so we could accommodate a variety of palettes (our families are from different cultures: Chinese/Indonesian and German/Italian), everyone could find something they liked, and we could show off a seafood paella in a large format paella pan. They even offered a Thai pesto dish that is not standard on their menu! They were also extremely conscientious about guests with food allergies, clearly marking them on menus, and even going to specific guests (especially those with celiac disease) and providing separate non-cross contaminated dishes. They also managed the flow of tables and buffet line efficiently and flawlessly, which can’t be overlooked, as we’ve been to weddings where this wasn’t the case. Our guests all told us it was the best wedding food and cocktails they’ve ever had, and we were so excited to share one of our favorite restaurants with them. The space was perfect for our 110 person wedding. The outdoor patio was a nice space for a cocktail hour and provided a quiet place to hang out when the dance floor later opened. The main restaurant is much larger than it looks, so it manages to feel intimate while still fitting over 100 people without feeling cramped. We had the DJ upstairs in the mezzanine like a real DJ booth, which allowed him to have a great read on the dance floor and assure no one was sitting right in front of a speaker. Finally, they cleared the front two large tables for a dance floor that was plenty large enough for everyone to dance for over 2 hours. Finally, we were thrilled to use our wedding to support a local business that not only has a mission to serve excellent food and drinks (they’ve received James Beard Award nominations!), but also to build community. Chef/owner Tracy Chang founded several nonprofits during COVID to provide economic relief to restaurant workers and donate meals to hospital workers, and she and PAGU have been hosting roundtable events to start conversations about sustainability, culture, and community. We first heard of PAGU after my sister went to a roundtable event about using invasive green crabs in cooking! We knew hosting a wedding was going to be an investment, and while we would have been so happy choosing PAGU for our wedding for the myriad of reasons above, we felt especially great about putting our investment into a place that cares about the world and community around it. We could not recommend PAGU enough for your wedding!”
