Traveling is my favorite past-time, or should I say future-time (is that a thing?) since I’m always look for new places to experience. I love pizza – like could eat pizza every night for dinner and always watching pizza review videos kind of love. I have two dogs, one who is my best friend, and the other, who is that dog’s best friend. At weddings, you can usually find me singing along to your favorite songs. I promise I won’t sing that loud – because I’m not that good. I’ll be there to teach you how to tie your first bow tie, keep you hydrated, and make sure you remember to take time for yourselves. That’s what it’s all about anyways, you.

“From the moment we met Stephen (from Instagram) at our engagement photo shoot, our minds were put completely at ease. We felt comfortable with him and like we could be ourselves. No question we asked him, and there were plenty, seemed to bother him or shake him. He was SO friendly and SO easy to work with - always answering email after email promptly and being available no matter what came up. A HUGE relief for a bride. Our wedding day was a bit hectic as we were pressed for time and the setting of the sun (November wedding) but Stephen was right on top of it and got us the most perfect photos. He helped move things along smoothly to ensure we stayed on time with our venue. Again, he felt like a FRIEND - like someone we were happy was a part of special day and he blended/fit right in! He even offered my mom his coat when we were outside taking photos in the cold. My husband and I highly, highly recommend Stephen for several reasons: 1. his stunning, natural photos that capture the pure joy, excitement and love between a couple (not like those over-edited or over-posed photos you see on IG) 2. his professionalism was unmatched. 3. through the months we spent chatting with him, Stephen felt like a friend and someone we trusted which was SO important because he was part of one of the most important/intimate days of our lives. To start, Matt was incredibly communicative and responsive during the initial planning stages, promptly responding to e-mails and joining several Zoom calls leading up to our event. We had a vision for our special day and they accommodated each and every one of our requests. On the day of they arrived early and did the necessary prep work to ensure they were fully situated to provide our guests with the night of a lifetime. They took special care to accommodate our unusual first dance request, song recommendations, and the ambiance we sought to instill. We had a wide array of guests and the overwhelmingly consistent feedback we received was that the band was AMAZING. No exaggeration - the majority of our guests said they were the best band they'd ever experienced. “We were just married last Saturday and Julian is an absolute dream florist and a must to work with. We cannot thank Julian enough for capturing our wedding vision and creating the most stunning florals for our big day. We had a large wedding with 160 guests and a big dream for our flowers. Julian was incredibly kind, patient, and caring from the very beginning. When we first talked to Julian, he put together a proposal that was beyond any proposal we received elsewhere. He was able to capture exactly what we had in our minds and put everything down on paper. (Not to mention that he is phenomenal on Canva and is able to precisely create digital mockups). We met with Julian multiple times throughout the planning process and he took in all of ideas, was always open to making changes, and ALWAYS made us feel supported and heard. They ended up creating the most stunning cocktail hour arrangements I have ever seen. Some highlights include a gorgeous and plentiful cascading arrangement stemming from the venue's grand piano, colorful bud vases for our cocktail tables, and stunning color-blocked meadow arrangements for on top of our seating display. Julian was able to capture our bright and whimsical personalities through every bud and stem. Our large guest list resulted in a VERY large bridal party. Each bridesmaid held a flower that corresponded with the color of their dresses. The quality of these flowers were unreal and my favorite flowers of the day were the dahlias that my maid of honor held. Dahlias were reaching the last of their season in October, but Julian did everything possible to make sure they were available and had solid back up plans in case there was an early frost. Finally, the ceremony and dinner flower arrangements were the best I've ever seen (I also work in weddings so I've seen a lot!). The Chuppah was an absolute stand out. Full of color, greenery, and depth - Julian stayed during the ceremony to repurpose our Chuppah flowers to a different arch behind the sweetheart table, working his magic during cocktail hour. The sweetheart table cascading arrangement was the perfect focal point and the ballroom tables varied with high and low arrangements that screamed personality and added colorful pops to our very white space. I'm excited to add photos below to show you everything that I've tried to describe here. But Julian, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are passionate, caring, talented, and the type of person that every bride and groom deserves to work with. Thank you for helping to create the happiest day of our lives!”

“I discovered Randall Garnick Photography back in Fall 2019 when my husband and I were newly engaged and checking out Elm Bank in Wellesley. While discussing services the venue offered, we happened upon a wedding album on a table in the meeting room. As we were flipping through the photos, I was drawn to how beautifully Randy was able to capture this couple in their element. There’s something truly magical about being able to capture candid moments. With what I previewed, I didn’t need to go online to read reviews for Randy to know that I wanted to book him for our wedding. With his warm and inviting personality, working with Randy was truly a delightful experience. We had our engagement photoshoot at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, literally a week before the world shut down during the 2020 pandemic. The museum was already shut down to the public, but the sculpture park remained open. Randy really took his time in finding spots in the park to take our shots. But what I loved most about his style and technique was that he didn’t tell us how to pose, as to not create heavily curated photos. Instead, he simply gave us suggestions or a general direction on what we could do, so we had the freedom to act as we pleased and knew Randy would find that perfect candid moment to capture. Our original wedding date was supposed to be in October 2020 but got postponed to October 2021, and Randy was responsive and accommodating to those changes. When our wedding day finally arrived, Randy and his assistant, Wayne, were on their A-game the entire day. They even catered to our silly request in taking photos of us eating our appetizers. Thanks to Randy and Wayne, our wedding day at Elm Bank lives forever through all the beautiful photos that were captured. I can not recommend him enough. Thank you again, Randy and Wayne!”

“It’s impossible to fully express how wonderful PAGU is, both as a standalone restaurant and as a wedding venue. As Cambridge residents, we had eaten here with friends and family and knew the food, drinks, and service were excellent, and I hosted a work event with a partial buy out that everyone enjoyed, so it quickly came to the top of our list after we got engaged and were looking into wedding venues. From the very beginning, the staff, especially event manager Amanda, were so easy to work with, and they were very flexible to make the space, menu, and overall wedding very personal to us. After a cocktail hour with both passed apps and stations, we opted to have a buffet style wedding so we could accommodate a variety of palettes (our families are from different cultures: Chinese/Indonesian and German/Italian), everyone could find something they liked, and we could show off a seafood paella in a large format paella pan. They even offered a Thai pesto dish that is not standard on their menu! They were also extremely conscientious about guests with food allergies, clearly marking them on menus, and even going to specific guests (especially those with celiac disease) and providing separate non-cross contaminated dishes. They also managed the flow of tables and buffet line efficiently and flawlessly, which can’t be overlooked, as we’ve been to weddings where this wasn’t the case. Our guests all told us it was the best wedding food and cocktails they’ve ever had, and we were so excited to share one of our favorite restaurants with them. The space was perfect for our 110 person wedding. The outdoor patio was a nice space for a cocktail hour and provided a quiet place to hang out when the dance floor later opened. The main restaurant is much larger than it looks, so it manages to feel intimate while still fitting over 100 people without feeling cramped. We had the DJ upstairs in the mezzanine like a real DJ booth, which allowed him to have a great read on the dance floor and assure no one was sitting right in front of a speaker. Finally, they cleared the front two large tables for a dance floor that was plenty large enough for everyone to dance for over 2 hours. Finally, we were thrilled to use our wedding to support a local business that not only has a mission to serve excellent food and drinks (they’ve received James Beard Award nominations!), but also to build community. Chef/owner Tracy Chang founded several nonprofits during COVID to provide economic relief to restaurant workers and donate meals to hospital workers, and she and PAGU have been hosting roundtable events to start conversations about sustainability, culture, and community. We first heard of PAGU after my sister went to a roundtable event about using invasive green crabs in cooking! We knew hosting a wedding was going to be an investment, and while we would have been so happy choosing PAGU for our wedding for the myriad of reasons above, we felt especially great about putting our investment into a place that cares about the world and community around it. We could not recommend PAGU enough for your wedding!”
