“PK and the Mighty Seven was THEE best band for our wedding. We had initially seen them play at porchfest and have gone back to see them each year since. They always draw a massive crowd and they kill it every time. For our wedding we considered getting a DJ for a second but boy are we glad we didn’t. PK brought the heat and they worth every penny. Leading up to the wedding, Matt was great to work with. We had a few calls prior to the wedding to plan songs, and we were able to give some definite YESs and NOs based on their extensive song list. They have great Motown, funk, and pop classics on their list, but they also did fantastic renditions of our pop-punk and ska requests. Matt was super responsive and coordinated with the venue about their logistics. During the wedding itself they brought fantastic energy, and know how to read a room. As (amateur) musicians, they even let us come up to play a song with them which was the most special moment and topped everything off. All around, 11 out of 10. Great to work with, professional, and absolutely rock!”

“We were just married last Saturday and Julian is an absolute dream florist and a must to work with. We cannot thank Julian enough for capturing our wedding vision and creating the most stunning florals for our big day. We had a large wedding with 160 guests and a big dream for our flowers. Julian was incredibly kind, patient, and caring from the very beginning. When we first talked to Julian, he put together a proposal that was beyond any proposal we received elsewhere. He was able to capture exactly what we had in our minds and put everything down on paper. (Not to mention that he is phenomenal on Canva and is able to precisely create digital mockups). We met with Julian multiple times throughout the planning process and he took in all of ideas, was always open to making changes, and ALWAYS made us feel supported and heard. They ended up creating the most stunning cocktail hour arrangements I have ever seen. Some highlights include a gorgeous and plentiful cascading arrangement stemming from the venue's grand piano, colorful bud vases for our cocktail tables, and stunning color-blocked meadow arrangements for on top of our seating display. Julian was able to capture our bright and whimsical personalities through every bud and stem. Our large guest list resulted in a VERY large bridal party. Each bridesmaid held a flower that corresponded with the color of their dresses. The quality of these flowers were unreal and my favorite flowers of the day were the dahlias that my maid of honor held. Dahlias were reaching the last of their season in October, but Julian did everything possible to make sure they were available and had solid back up plans in case there was an early frost. Finally, the ceremony and dinner flower arrangements were the best I've ever seen (I also work in weddings so I've seen a lot!). The Chuppah was an absolute stand out. Full of color, greenery, and depth - Julian stayed during the ceremony to repurpose our Chuppah flowers to a different arch behind the sweetheart table, working his magic during cocktail hour. The sweetheart table cascading arrangement was the perfect focal point and the ballroom tables varied with high and low arrangements that screamed personality and added colorful pops to our very white space. I'm excited to add photos below to show you everything that I've tried to describe here. But Julian, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are passionate, caring, talented, and the type of person that every bride and groom deserves to work with. Thank you for helping to create the happiest day of our lives!”

“John is an amazing DJ . Having him from the moment we chose him to the day of our wedding having the monthly check ins really helped make the process easier. One thing we really loved is he played all our request. He worked around our schedule, using video chat to finalize everything was great ! “DJ Buono & DJ Tavo & crew were absolutely incredible!! As a news reporter, I can appreciate producing a SHOW and that is exactly what they put on! This was SO much MORE than a great wedding!! From the first phone call, DJ Tavo's excitement and attention to detail was top tier. DJ Buono helped sculpt our ENTIRE reception & even gave us the idea to have dinner become more of a performance with our violinist. They immediately welcomed her into the mix and it made for the BEST time!! You would have thought she worked with them nightly. This was an elegant night out in Boston meets IBIZA!! We could barely sit still to eat because we were all dancing in our seats!! I have never seen guests rush the dance floor like this. (& I've once been to 13 weddings in a single year) To the point, we had to tell some of them to sit down so we could do parent dances!! People literally could not wait to start dancing/celebrating!! We cannot believe this was our WEDDING!!! & it wouldn't have been the same without Black Diamond Event Production! People are still messaging us to say this was the best wedding they've ever been to! Not only is this team so talented that it is almost out of this world, they are also good people. “Johanna is THE BEST. I first discovered her when she did my best friend’s makeup for her wedding. Everyone’s makeup was absolutely beautiful and lasted all night. I knew I had to hire her for mine when the time came and I AM SO GLAD I DID. Our trial was perfection. She took the time to look at my inspo and ask me questions about what I liked about them and what I was wanting the most from each. She perfectly executed what I wanted. She also did my bridal shower makeup and it was perfection. I got SO many compliments! “Booking Cassie to be my wedding coordinator three months out to my wedding day was the best decision I made in the wedding planning process! I really thought I did not want or need a planner/coordinator, but having Cassie there really allowed me to enjoy my wedding. Cassie was diligent, organized, responsive, and patient. Cassie was so on top of every detail and knew all my vendors’ contracts inside and out! I had done lots of research online to make sure I knew every detail going into the wedding planning process, but there were some things I would not have known and Cassie was able to guide me through. For example, one of my vendors insisted an additional hour of rental time needed to be added to the wedding day (that would have cost me hundreds of dollars) and Cassie advocated for me, citing their contract, that it was not necessary. Cassie was also available to help make decisions regarding decor, helping me decide on pieces that best suited and enhanced the venue. I explained my vision of romantic candles everywhere throughout the event. Cassie and I worked together to shape where everything would go to create the seamless look. Cassie (and her assistant Cammie) made everything look stunning on the wedding day - and expertly packed up everything at the end of the night for us. I thought I could have my sister or family friend be in charge of so many of these tasks, but it was *so nice* delegating this out to a professional so that everyone could enjoy the day. “I've never worked with a DJ as good as Drew and his crew. Drew had sent me an email a few weeks before the couples wedding with the reception timeline (a first) and kept me up-to-date with any last minute changes the day of. It is clear by working with Drew how much he loves his job and how much he cares about the couples he works with. He got the crowd going, the dance floor was always packed and he invited the couple up to DJ booth which was so fun for them and also amazing for pictures. “I discovered Randall Garnick Photography back in Fall 2019 when my husband and I were newly engaged and checking out Elm Bank in Wellesley. While discussing services the venue offered, we happened upon a wedding album on a table in the meeting room. As we were flipping through the photos, I was drawn to how beautifully Randy was able to capture this couple in their element. There’s something truly magical about being able to capture candid moments. With what I previewed, I didn’t need to go online to read reviews for Randy to know that I wanted to book him for our wedding. With his warm and inviting personality, working with Randy was truly a delightful experience. We had our engagement photoshoot at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, literally a week before the world shut down during the 2020 pandemic. The museum was already shut down to the public, but the sculpture park remained open. Randy really took his time in finding spots in the park to take our shots. But what I loved most about his style and technique was that he didn’t tell us how to pose, as to not create heavily curated photos. Instead, he simply gave us suggestions or a general direction on what we could do, so we had the freedom to act as we pleased and knew Randy would find that perfect candid moment to capture. Our original wedding date was supposed to be in October 2020 but got postponed to October 2021, and Randy was responsive and accommodating to those changes. When our wedding day finally arrived, Randy and his assistant, Wayne, were on their A-game the entire day. They even catered to our silly request in taking photos of us eating our appetizers. Thanks to Randy and Wayne, our wedding day at Elm Bank lives forever through all the beautiful photos that were captured. I can not recommend him enough. Thank you again, Randy and Wayne!”

We ordered the cake tasting box ahead of time, and we turned it into a full family event—everyone sampled, debated, and ranked their favorites. It made the whole process so personal and fun. We ultimately chose the Vanilla Latte cake with Espresso Buttercream, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, balanced, and not overly sweet. We served slices to each guest during the band break, and so many people told us it was the best wedding cake they’d ever had.
