With a background in fashion photography, I blend candid storytelling with timeless, editorial-inspired imagery. My goal is to capture your day as it naturally unfolds while creating photographs that feel authentic, timeless, and true to you. Years from now, I want your photographs to do more than show you how your wedding looked—I want them to bring you back to exactly how it felt.
Most of the couples you see in my portfolio had never had a professional photoshoot before and started out feeling nervous in front of the camera. Helping my couples feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera is one of the most important parts of my job. My approach is relaxed and natural, with gentle guidance every step of the way, so you’ll never have to wonder what to do. Many wedding collections also include a complimentary engagement session, which I highly recommend. It’s a great opportunity for us to get to know each other, get comfortable in front of the camera, and make the wedding day feel even more natural and effortless

SO talented, insightful, professional and fun!
We cannot recommend Liza Lavine highly enough! She is an incredibly talented photographer with such a clear artistic vision, but what makes her truly exceptional is the way she combines that talent with her kindness, organization, and ability to make you feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. As someone who does not particularly love having my picture taken, I was honestly amazed by how comfortable Liza made me feel. Her coaching is direct, insightful, and incredibly helpful — she knows exactly how to position you, where to look, and how to make a moment feel natural rather than posed. And for anyone who thinks that the subject is what makes a photograph beautiful: the subject might contribute to the photo, but Liza is the reason it is so beautiful. She has an incredible eye and a way of capturing people that makes every image feel artistic, authentic, and completely us. Our family and friends absolutely adored her, too. She was so warm and personable throughout the entire day, and somehow managed to make everyone feel comfortable while still getting all of the photos we wanted. For our 120-person wedding, we made the decision not to have a second shooter, and we were so impressed by how organized and efficient Liza was. She truly does not miss a moment. She was somehow everywhere she needed to be, capturing all of the important moments as well as the little ones we didn't even realize were happening. Her knowledge of how to photograph a wedding — while also keeping the busiest day of your life moving on schedule — is seriously impressive. We never felt rushed or behind, and we always felt like we were in the best possible hands. Liza also photographed our engagement session, and that experience made us even more excited to have her capture our wedding day. We are so grateful for the beautiful memories she gave us and cannot wait to come back to Liza when we start our family and are ready for more photos! She is truly the very best, and we feel incredibly lucky that she was our photographer!

Such a Great Photographer to Work With
Working with Liza was such a great experience. She's incredibly talented, but what stood out the most was how easy she is to work with. As a photo and video team, we really appreciate photographers who collaborate well with other vendors, and Liza does exactly that. She has a beautiful editing style, and we loved her color grading. Throughout the wedding, she was always attentive to the couple, especially the bride, making sure everything stayed on track while creating a calm and positive atmosphere. We'd happily work with her again and would definitely recommend her to any couple looking for someone who is both talented and genuinely enjoyable to have by your side on your wedding day.

A dream to work with
Liza was extremely professional and organized throughout the entire process, from our engagement session through our wedding gallery delivery. I especially valued her thoughtful guidance in the months leading up to our wedding as we constructed our timeline. We also appreciated how well she collaborated with our videographer and how kind and patient she was during photos with our family. We are so pleased with our final gallery. Our friends and family loved the photos as well -- all of our guests are so thankful to have such wonderful documentation of the day. Liza perfectly captures candid moments as well as beautiful, posed portraits. She also managed to get a photo of every single guest throughout the day!

We love Liza!!! She was an absolute gem to work with from our very first phone call. She is incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and so talented! On top of that she is a kind, caring, and genuine person who truly wants the best for you on your wedding day. We met her during our engagement shoot and felt an instant connection with her genuine, straightforward approach. She took time to understand our vision, asked for inspiration photos, and delivered exactly what we wanted on our wedding day. Even though both our venues were new to her, she scouted out incredible backdrops and knew exactly where to position us for each shot! During the photo hours on our wedding day she was calm, prepared, and helped everyone with posing and prompts to get us the results we wanted. During the reception she blended seamlessly into the night, prioritizing capturing our best moments without taking away from our experience of the night! Liza arrived early, kept everything on schedule, and handled our family members with such grace and professionalism. The Very Best!
From the moment we booked with Liza we had absolutely the best experience. We tend to feel awkward in posed photos, but she made us feel so comfortable at our engagement session that we stopped worrying and trusted her to capture all of our favorite moments! In one hour she snapped more great photos of us than we have from all the previous years of our relationship. Liza's instinct and experience with timing, flow, and creative decisions made our entire wedding day easier even though day-of details can be overwhelming. Her style is both intimate and glamorous, and I especially requested to see all the silly and fun cocktail hour and dancefloor moments she could capture, which we truly treasure with all of our loved ones. Even our friends and family commented on how she was everywhere and getting all the angles - snapping us of course, as well as families, friends, and happy reunions. Liza was warm and friendly, supportive, and professional throughout, and if you are considering working with her for a wedding - or any event or reason - I cannot recommend her highly enough!
