Clockwork was an excellent choice for our wedding band and DJs. Their communication throughout the planning process was efficient and they were always quick to respond to our questions. On the day of the wedding, their performance was nothing short of energetic. The singers and musicians would frequently come out onto the dance floor, interacting with our guests and bringing an unmatched level of energy to the celebration. East Coast Soul
Rating: 5.0 (31 reviews)
Boston, MA
  • Band or Ensemble
  • Starts at $5,860

East Coast Soul is a premier funk, soul, and R&B ensemble collective. East Coast Soul is more than a band. We are a tightly knit group of close friends; a collective of committed, full-time musicians focused on bringing an unparalleled level of energy and style to your event. We have curated a timeless repertoire through years of performance experience and proudly present it with our own unique, soulful style and energy. We can’t wait to talk with you guys!

Awarded Best of Zola
East Coast Soul was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding! We had the Philly ensemble at our wedding, and for weeks after the wedding, guests were still going out of their way to tell us how great the band was. The dance floor was packed all night and they brought incredible energy to every song! They also performed our ceremony music and the trumpeter and piano player played our requested songs (“Moanin’” by Art Blakey and “La Vie En Rose”) so beautifully and it set such a special tone for the day! We got married on an island and it was so reassuring to hear that ECS had experience bringing the band and the set up out to the venue. They handled coordinating with the island to get the equipment earlier and it was so reassuring that they had everything under control , even given the logistically complex venue! The pre-wedding survey made it easy to share our preferences without being overly prescriptive. Everything felt well-organized, effortless, and perfectly executed! Thank you so much!

Working with Lindsey and Jullian was an absolute JOY from beginning to end. We were planning a small, backyard queer wedding with less than 40 people. Our introduction meeting was so pleasant and professional but also very human and incredibly understanding. Our wedding was mostly DIY, but it was important to us that the photos would document our queer joy and over a decade of being together. It made us feel so much more at ease that they would provide guidance for the timing of the photos throughout the day while honoring our vision. On the day of, Jullian might as well have been one of our guests. He was so smooth, kind, funny, and incredibly professional! We both don't usually love being in front of the camera for more than a minute, but Jullian made it feel so comfortable and natural. He wanted to make sure we enjoyed our day instead of performing for the camera, which made the experience so special. When we got our photos, we were blown away and overjoyed at the detail and emotion we could feel from our day. Jullian captured our energy so naturally and beautifully and the photos are absolutely stunning. They completely surpassed our expectations. It was and will always be magical to look through these priceless memories with each other for life! We are so thankful to Jullian and Lindsey for their incredible creativity and kindness.

Kylie was awesome to work with and I was so happy with my flowers! We had a small ceremony for family only and a cocktail party with a few high boy tables, so my floral needs were minimal compared to a “typical” wedding. Kylie created exactly what I wanted for my bouquet, and she really helped me describe what I wanted by asking good questions. Then she sent me pics on Pinterest to make sure she was on the right track, which she definitely was! Aside from my bouquet, we had some small bud vases, flower girl baskets with mixed colored petals, and a boutonniere for my husband. Everything was perfect - thank you, Kylie!

Working with Audrey Walsh Events & Co. truly took away so much of the stress of wedding planning for us. From our first conversation, Audrey was quick to respond to every question and incredibly clear about next steps, which kept us on track throughout the entire process. When I hit a wall trying to figure out our decor direction, she created a PowerPoint of design options she'd specifically tailored to our vision, then she nailed every single detail on the day of. She has incredible personal taste, but can adapt to any style and execute it flawlessly. Beyond the planning, Audrey handled all the setup and breakdown, managed our timeline beautifully, and basically ran the show so my husband and I could actually enjoy our day. What really blew us away was when she helped us figure out where to store our decor after the wedding since our venue wouldn't allow overnight storage as we were quickly departing for our honeymoon. This solved a huge stress we didn't even know how to handle. Audrey's passion for her work and genuine care for making our day special made all the difference. We would recommend her a million times!

Liv Charron Events
Rating: 5.0 (21 reviews)
Boston, MA
  • Planner
  • Offers 3 services
  • Starts at $5,000

Hi there! My name is Liv and I am a New England born event planner. Being the youngest of 12 cousins, I went to my fair share of weddings growing up. I naturally fell in love with seeing the first chapter of my friends and families life begin. I’ve worked with some of the best vendors in the Seacoast, learning and growing as much as possible. In October 2021, I took a leap of faith and opened my own business! I'll never take for granted being able to work with clients I love, doing what I love. Let’s make your dream wedding a reality!

Awarded Best of Zola
It is not unusual for wedding planning to begin more than a year in advance of your big day. Venue, flowers, decor, churches (bring your own priest which is a thing), engagement photos, DJ, wedding party, save the dates, invitations. The list DOES. NOT. STOP. With all of these moving parts it really makes you wonder how such a complex event can happen without the slightest issue and seemingly end before you know it. Well, Liv is our reason. After months of planning, and picking, and choosing, and changing, and scrapping ideas our bandwidth for creativity and follow-through was wearing thin. Liv saved the day. She seamlessly coordinated communications between all parties and vendors to ensure that everyone was on the same page. I will honestly say that without her our day would not have come together like it did. Everyone tells you that something will inevitably go wrong regardless of how thorough your planning. Liv didn’t let that happen. The groomsmen forgot tie clips. Liv ran 5 blocks to pick up tie clips for the boys and was back before the girls even arrived at the church. Her foresight and planning were impressive but her ability to think and adjust on the fly is what made our day go off with zero issues. We cannot thank Liv enough for her help. Do yourself a favor and let Liv take it from here. Thank you again!!!

Justin was very responsive and easy to connect with leading up to the day, and accommodated all of our requests and needs with ease. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts!! xxx

I'm Alyssa, a Boston based wedding photographer who shoots all over Maine, Rhode Island, The Hudson Valley and New York City. I feel so lucky to photograph weddings. It’s an honor to be invited into the quiet, behind-the-scenes moments that make the day so personal—those shared just with family and the closest friends. I don’t take that role lightly and feel privileged to document those intimate pieces of the story.

We were fortunate enough to work with Alyssa for both our small elopement ceremony and our wedding reception party. Two very different visions and she beyond crushed both. Our pictures are more than I could have hoped for. Beyond being thrilled with her vision and talent, she made everyone in our life comfortable and was the best director ever. I am not an expert, but her talent with flash photography and eye for color is amazing. I cannot wait to find excuses to work with Alyssa in the future!

We had our wedding at Woods Hill Pier 4 last weekend and it was the most amazing experience. I wouldn’t change anything. Everything, from food & drinks, to the staff, logistics, and organization, was perfectly executed. I had being hoping our wedding felt like a really nice dinner party and that was exactly what WHP4 provided. From even the first time I reached out to inquire, the staff was attentive, organized, and generous. Working with the team to organize the menu and drinks was easy and fun. Many of our guests said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. I have celiac and the staff made sure we had lots of options to accommodate myself and other guests. We even had a gluten free wedding cake that was some of the best cake we’ve ever had. No one believed that it was GF. We had been hoping for our ceremony & cocktail hour to be outside but had to do it all inside due to the weather. The staff was able to ensure there was no bottle neck at the bar, caviar cart, or raw bar. Our guests didn’t even realize that we had been planning to do it outside. Everything was seamless. The whole night was incredibly magical. We are so grateful for everything that Emily, Courtney, and the team did for us.

Here at MB Events, our number one goal has always been to have happy clients. From helping them plan at a pace that works for them, to keeping everything organized and stress free. We truly value the friendships that are made throughout the process.

My husband and I frequently find ourselves looking at each other and exclaiming, “we had the perfect wedding.” And we did, it was perfect in every way we could have imagined. I’m certain that we wouldn’t be able to say that if we hadn’t worked with MB Events. For context, I didn’t want a wedding. I wanted to elope because it would be easy and I just wanted to be married, but my husband encouraged me to consider an intimate wedding with our closest friends and family on his parents’ property. He also insisted on getting a wedding planner to make this as stress-free as possible for both of us. We talked to several wedding planners, but when we got off the phone with Marissa from MB Events, I immediately said “she’s the one.” Marissa was the only planner we talked to who asked about our story, our families, and our feelings right off the bat. She listened to us and gave us frank, honest advice about planning a “backyard wedding” (spoiler: it takes a village). I was truly starry-eyed while talking to her because she is the epitome of calm confidence. Now, this land needed some serious TLC… I remember when MB Events first came to look at the property, it was hard for any of us to imagine how we could turn it into our wedding venue, but Marissa saw through the wild overgrowth and created the loveliest vision that we never would have thought of without her help. It was the spark that motivated us to make this work. We didn’t really know what we wanted this wedding to look like, only some vague ideas: warm and whimsical, like a garden party with lots of light and color. We shared Pinterest boards with a wild mix of inspiration, and she was able to sift through all our ideas to nail down a theme that considered who we are as individuals and as a couple. Planning a wedding on family land requires a lot more thought and effort than a wedding at a venue. You need to consider things like bathroom trailers, weather protection, parking, and countless other things that were not even close to the front of our minds. MB Events thought of everything – this was clearly not their first rodeo. Marissa put together floor plans, mood boards, and schedules detailed down to the minute. She held our hands through every step of the process, kept in contact via call and text, and sent us reminders to be sure that nothing was forgotten. We took all her recommendations without question, including her vendor recs (which are top tier, btw), and I’m so glad we did. There are no words to adequately capture how incredible our wedding turned out to be. It all came together seamlessly, and we’ve been so humbled by the number of compliments we’ve received from our guests. But the best part for us was not having to worry about a single thing the entire wedding day. Knowing MB Events had everything handled gave us the peace of mind to be fully present (especially on the dance floor), and that is a gift that we will be forever grateful to them for. It’s priceless. At the end of the night, we exchanged tearful goodbyes; it feels like we’ve known them for ages instead of a year. It’s so obvious that they love what they do. Their love, care, and authenticity radiates. We cannot recommend MB Events enough; we can say confidently that our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and considering one of us didn’t want a wedding in the first place, we think that’s saying something. 10/10 would renew our vows just to do it all over again.

I feel so passionately about recommending Sasha I don't even know where to begin! My fiancee and I, as well as several members of our wedding party, have not stopped talking about how great she was since our wedding a couple weeks ago. Sasha did our photos for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. When we started wedding planning, it was important to us to hire vendors who not only aligned with a product we wanted and our price range, but also who were kind, good people we'd want to spend our wedding day with. Some vendors fell short, but Sasha made up for it and then some. First of all, Sasha is EXTREMELY talented. She really captures your essence in her work and several people commented to me that they could "feel" our wedding and emotions through our photos. Her photos are not cheesy or contrived, which was something we knew we wanted when hiring a photographer, and her values aligned with what we were looking for. She is very talented at working with lighting in special and artistic ways. She will "yes and" every single one of your ideas and suggestions for your photos, and really listens to your requests and preferences. Beyond all of this, even if I hated the photos (which is far from the case, I love them so much), I would hire her again and again. Your photographer is someone you spend a LOT of time with on your wedding day. Having someone with good, calm, kind energy who you vibe with is really important. I had a somewhat rough start to my day, getting a bit overwhelmed and behind schedule. Sasha was exactly the person I needed to be with to help ground and calm the energy of everything when it otherwise felt chaotic. She is cool as a cucumber under pressure, kind to every single person she meets, carries such a positive energy, and is a true professional at pivoting/troubleshooting when something goes wrong. She's also a quiet leader who will help keep your wedding running smoothly, pay attention to your timeline, etc. We had a giant wedding party and she somehow corralled people very quickly to get all the group shots we requested, so that I never had to think about it. On the wedding day, as others have said, she was somehow everywhere, but in the least obstructive way possible. I didn't even notice her during the reception or ceremony yet somehow she captured amazing pictures from lots of amazing angles. Leading up to the wedding, Sasha was a delight to work with. She was VERY responsive and willing to meet with us both over the phone and in person. She took the time to do a walk-through of our venue with us, which put me at ease to scope out where we'd take pictures. She even hopped on a Zoom call with us while on her vacation the week before our wedding. Last but not least, Sasha got us our engagement pictures AND our wedding gallery preview much faster than anticipated! If I sound slightly crazed in my obsession for Sasha, it's because I am lol. Sasha's beautiful spirit matches her the high level of talent and artistry in her work. This is your sign to hire her!

Speechless was the perfect wedding entertainment for our special day. Scott, the owner, and Mari, the coordinator were excellent communicators and were organized, efficient, and friendly throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work and the value they provided was exceptional - they were professional, fun to work with, and incredibly talented. Their music went perfectly with the laidback, joyful vibe we were going for, and Tashane, our DJ kept the dance floor full all night long. Tashane was very responsive, flexible, and read the mood of our guests perfectly, and ensured we had the wedding day we envisioned. We couldn't have asked for a better entertainment experience to make our wedding celebration complete.
