Stop Searching - This Is Your Band

East Coast Soul was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We got married just outside of NYC, where there are endless fantastic band options, but we had heard ECS at another wedding and immediately fell in love with both their talent and their energy. We knew they’d be as great as we remembered but they somehow exceeded that. The Stax ensemble (who we booked) is simply unreal. Nothing I write will capture how special they were but if it’s any indication, we literally lost count of how many guests, people who are accustomed to the best NYC bands, pulled us aside to ask, “Who is your band?!” and “How did you find them?!” Not only are they extraordinarily talented musicians and vocalists…they know how to put on a show. Multiple friends said it felt more like a concert than a wedding band. They brought this electric, joyful energy that kept the dance floor packed all night long. Even our wedding planner was blown away. And honestly, they were just as wonderful behind the scenes. So warm, so easy to work with, so genuinely excited to help bring our night to life. They listened, offered ideas, and were totally game to get a little creative. It felt like working with real humans who cared just as much as we did - which is not true for everyone in the wedding industry! Bottom line: East Coast Soul is unbelievable. Book them. The only regret you’ll have is not doing it sooner. (Not kidding… they were the first vendor we booked after securing our venue and we ended up changing our wedding date to have them!)

ECS's Atlantic ensemble performed at our wedding last night, and I want to write this review while it is still fresh because they were amazing! We heard so many unprompted compliments throughout the night about how fun the band was, with special callouts to the horn section and Carrie on vocals. It seemed that they were having a great time themselves as well and really cared about making it a great party for everybody. They also let us join them for a song on our instruments, which is a memory my spouse and I will have for a lifetime. Art and Sean were easy to deal with when coordinating our event, with a clear and standardized process to keep organized. They made very clear when we could expect certain information and when we needed to make decisions with them. I'd also credit their approach to building a setlist, as the band had an incredible pulse on what songs would keep the room high-energy. Overall I can't say enough about the Atlantic ensemble. They made our party special. Anyone who loves live music would do well to book Atlantic.

East coast soul brought down the house at our wedding. People were talking that night and the next day about how great they were and wondering how we even found them. You could tell they were having a good time, too, which is always extra fun. 10/10 would recommend!

We booked East Coast Soul as soon as we had our venue, and it was one of the best decisions we made in the entire planning process! The Soulsville Ensemble is incredible: the musicianship was absolutely top-notch from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the dance floor. Our guests could not stop raving about how blown away they were by the band and how much they had fun dancing. Sean and his team were consummate professionals throughout: they made the entire process easy, intuitive, and fun, and they were available to answer all of our questions. They are the best wedding band we've ever seen and we are ecstatic that we had the chance to hire them.
