Guilty Pleasure is based in Boston, MA. We perform regularly throughout the East Coast including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine & Vermont.

How many band members do you have?

Guilty Pleasure is a 7-piece band. Two male & female lead vocalists, (male lead vocalist also plays alto sax, flute & percussion), guitarist sings lead & background vocals, & also plays trumpet, multi-keyboardist sings lead & background vocals, a multi-sax player (soprano, alto, tenor) & percussion, bassist sings lead & background vocals & our drummer is the band's manager & bandleader.

What type of events are you available for?

Weddings, corporate events. charity galas, holiday parties, reunions, anniversaries, conventions, fundraisers, festivals, bar mitzvahs, birthday parties and celebrations of all types...along with public performances, concerts, casinos, fairs, and festivals!

Can you provide ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner music?

You have the option to select our individual musicians to provide an intimate, upscale touch. *Piano /Organ (solo) _ *Acoustic Guitar (solo) _*Piano & Sax (duo) _ Piano & Flute (duo) or *Sax, Piano & Female vocalist (trio). The full band will perform a classy & eloquent dinner set for you while guests dine. Featuring your favorite love ballads, singer/songwriter hits & lite jazz standards.

Do you provide Emcee services?

Yes. Our energetic and experienced Male & Female Lead Vocalists will Emcee your wedding or event with style, class and a little personality. This feature is included in your wedding package and is at no extra cost.

Question 6

How long do you play and how many breaks do you take?

Accepted Answer

In a 4 hr. time frame, we typically perform 3-70 min. sets with 2-20 min. breaks between sets (Depends on the length of dinner). However, we can adjust our sets and breaks to accommodate your event schedule. During breaks, we play recorded music (playlist made for you with your choices) through the band's sound system (this is a great way to play particular songs or genres the band may not play).

What equipment does the band provide and what do you need from me?

We will supply full PA sound system, soundman, stage lighting & wireless mics for toasts at no extra cost to you. From you and/or the venue, band needs: Performance area of 10' x 20' (we can fit into smaller spaces) access to adequate power (two 20 amp electrical outlets). Ideal stage size is 16' x 24', minimum is 8' x 20'. 3. Hot meals for band members, soundman is always appreciated.

How does the band dress?

Always appropriate for your wedding or event. Musicians usually will wear black suits, white or black shirts & various matching colored ties (black, baby blue, red-maroon, purple, etc.) You can request our ties color match bridesmaids' dresses for a unique, uniform look. Female Vocalist always wears a black or other solid color formal cocktail dress with heels.

May we use the band's microphone for toasts, announcements, etc?

Absolutely! Typically, we'll have 2 wireless mics available to use at no extra charge.

Question 10

Will you learn special song requests?

Accepted Answer

We are happy to learn up to 3 special request songs for your event, as long as we have the request at least 90 days before your event. We suggest you choose all your specialty songs initially (first & last dances, etc.) but we'll also learn dance songs if needed. Also, keep in mind that if you require certain songs that are not on the band's playlist, they can always be put on the break iPod mix.

How do you control the volume?

For cocktail hour & dinner, we play at a lower volume that allows your guests to easily carry on conversations. After dinner, we increase the volume just enough to provide energy & get the crowd dancing. Regardless, the volume can always be raised or lowered by our fearless soundman who is on-site for all our gigs. He's our silent extra member & he will ensure we sound "just right" ..all night.

How does the band plan for our event?

Our bandleader Chris will send you a planning sheet & together you will develop a timeline that fits your needs. Chris has years of experience and he'll help you with all your musical choices, reception options & schedule planning. Chris will also contact your wedding coordinator or venue to confirm your timeline, schedule, equipment load-in, set-up, so the band is ready to perform as scheduled.
