When my fiancé and I began planning our wedding, one of our top priorities was hiring an incredible band. Our dream was to feel like we were hosting our own private concert. The moment we found Clockwork Boston on The Knot, we knew they were our band. We loved the transparency of their team—who you see on the website is exactly who performs at your wedding. Choosing a group was nearly impossible because they are all unbelievably talented, and we were especially excited that our band performs on the dance floor with the audience, not just on stage. Ron and Greg were absolute pros throughout the planning process, helping us curate the bridal party entrances, set list, and timing. They were prompt, organized, and genuinely wonderful to work with. Then came our wedding day—February 6, 2026—at the beautiful Society Room in Hartford, CT. The vibes were already high, but the moment the dance floor opened, a swarm of guests rushed out and never left for the rest of the night. The vocals and instrumentals were top-tier, and having the performers right there on the dance floor with us made the night feel cinematic. Truly, we felt like we were in a movie. From the first song to the final dance, our guests were energized and partying nonstop. I had multiple friends tell me, “You completely changed my mind about hiring a live band—this is incredible,” and another say, “I’ve been to over 75 weddings, and this is hands down the best wedding band I’ve ever seen.” If you’re even considering a live band, do yourself a favor and invest in Clockwork Boston. Our celebration was already special, but Clockwork turned it into an absolute home run—one people will be talking about for years to come. A true Gatsby-style party. We hired Clockwork Entertainment for our wedding and they were outstanding from start to finish. They were incredibly prepared, sent over clear paperwork ahead of time, and took the time to meet with us before the wedding to thoughtfully review all the details. The band absolutely crushed it!! They were the highlight of our wedding night. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Clockwork Band New England in one word: Exceptional. When my husband and I were planning our 11/15/25 wedding, one of our top priorities was incredible music that would keep our guests on the dance floor all night. Clockwork New England MORE than delivered. Clockwork New England was hands-down one of the absolute highlights of our wedding. From the first song to the last, the dance floor was packed and the energy never dropped. Not only is their level of musical talent off-the-charts, but their performers were constantly engaging with our guests — even coming off the stage to sing and dance right on the floor with everyone. It created such an electric, interactive atmosphere that made the night unforgettable. The vocals, musicianship, and song selection were all incredible, and we have had countless guests tell us how amazing the band was and ask for their name afterward. Leading up to the wedding, they were also fantastic to work with — professional, organized, and truly invested in making sure our wedding was everything we hoped for. If you’re looking for a wedding band that will keep the dance floor packed all night and completely elevate your reception, cocktail hour, and ceremony, Clockwork New England is a must. We will learn it! Or we can play the actual recording for you to dance to. Dancing to the recording is quite common, and for a lot of couples it removes those "first dance jitters" because they know exactly how it’s going to sound (and quite often they’ve been practicing dancing to the recording). Honestly, you won't offend us in the least if you ask us to "DJ" your first dance!

Most wedding receptions are 5 hours long: 1 hour for cocktails, and 4 hours for the reception (dinner and dancing), and there’s a reason for that. A four-hour reception seems to be the right amount of time to create a very fun atmosphere, to get everyone dancing, and have the energy peak before people get too tired. Keep in mind that after dinner, there is continuous high-energy music until the end of the reception.

During a 4-hour reception, we take two breaks. The first is during dinner when the main course is being served. After dinner we play two dance sets, and bridge the gap between these two sets with the high-energy DJ set (about 15 minutes in length).

Yes. In fact, you can put together your own custom playlist specifying exactly which songs are to be played during each break. Just give us a list, and we'll put it together! Or you can rely on us to put together a great mix to "DJ" the breaks.

No. We perform only one event each day, thereby giving each event our undivided attention. Furthermore, you will never be charged a penalty or extra stipend if your reception happens to be during “crossover” times (from late afternoon into early evening).

Getting your guests to the dance floor and keeping them there is our number one goal; isn’t that why you hire a band in the first place? Having performed at so many weddings in the past, we have a good sense as to which songs to pick to get people on the dance floor. Once the dancing has started, we string songs together into medleys (so there’s not that awkward “dead air” in between songs), gradually building the energy from one song to the next.
