From the moment we first met with the team from Clockwork, we knew we were in good hands. Their communication style was reliable, detail-oriented, thoughtful, and enthusiastic - they clearly cared deeply about making our wedding day perfect. And their talent was simply mind-blowing. Clockwork kept our dance floor packed all night with their incredible, exceptionally talented performance. The female lead singer blew us away with her rendition of an Alicia Keys song, which had all of our guests stop eating and turn to watch in awe. We're still getting rave reviews from our guests about how much fun they had and how not a single person left the dance floor. Clockwork truly made our wedding reception a non-stop party with a seamless flow from introductions to dances to the big celebration. We can't recommend them highly enough!

Clockwork was an amazing choice for our wedding band. Their communication was proactive, timely, and professional throughout the entire planning process. On the day of, their performances were energetic, fun, and incredibly inclusive - they kept guests of all ages on the dancefloor all night. They provided show-stopping music (fun solos etc) for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They were so easy to work with and truly helped make our special day unforgettable.

Clockwork East Coast was one of the absolute highlights of our October 10, 2025 wedding. We hired them for recorded music during our ceremony and cocktail hour, and an 8-piece live band for the reception, and they delivered flawlessly at every stage of the day. From the moment we first connected, Greg made the entire process incredibly easy. During our planning session he walked us through every detail, answered every question with patience and clarity, and helped us feel completely confident in how the music would flow throughout the day. That peace of mind alone was invaluable. But once the reception started, Clockwork East Coast exceeded every expectation we had. The band was an instant hit—our dance floor was packed from the very first song to the very last. Their musical range was unbelievable. They effortlessly moved between genres and decades, playing something for everyone. Our grandparents, parents, and friends were all out on the dance floor together, which is exactly what we hoped for. They created the perfect energy all night long, reading the room and keeping the momentum going without ever missing a beat. The live performance quality was phenomenal, both technically impressive and full of charisma and joy. You could tell every musician genuinely loved being part of the celebration, and that energy radiated through the whole room. We will learn it! Or we can play the actual recording for you to dance to. Dancing to the recording is quite common, and for a lot of couples it removes those "first dance jitters" because they know exactly how it’s going to sound (and quite often they’ve been practicing dancing to the recording). Honestly, you won't offend us in the least if you ask us to "DJ" your first dance!

Most wedding receptions are 5 hours long: 1 hour for cocktails, and 4 hours for the reception (dinner and dancing), and there’s a reason for that. A four-hour reception seems to be the right amount of time to create a very fun atmosphere, to get everyone dancing, and have the energy peak before people get too tired. Keep in mind that after dinner, there is continuous high-energy music until the end of the reception.

During a 4-hour reception, we take two breaks. The first is during dinner when the main course is being served. After dinner we play two dance sets, and bridge the gap between these two sets with the high-energy DJ set (about 15 minutes in length).

Yes. In fact, you can put together your own custom playlist specifying exactly which songs are to be played during each break. Just give us a list, and we'll put it together! Or you can rely on us to put together a great mix to "DJ" the breaks.

No. We perform only one event each day, thereby giving each event our undivided attention. Furthermore, you will never be charged a penalty or extra stipend if your reception happens to be during “crossover” times (from late afternoon into early evening).

Getting your guests to the dance floor and keeping them there is our number one goal; isn’t that why you hire a band in the first place? Having performed at so many weddings in the past, we have a good sense as to which songs to pick to get people on the dance floor. Once the dancing has started, we string songs together into medleys (so there’s not that awkward “dead air” in between songs), gradually building the energy from one song to the next.
