Mixing acoustic covers with evocative Celtic and upbeat Americana, Lindsay Straw delivers a soundtrack in a warm alto voice with intricate guitar and Irish bouzouki accompaniment. With over 250 weddings under her belt, she loves working with couples to provide the perfect folky playlist tailored to their tastes and needs. She provides her own sound gear and can accommodate new song requests. Based out of Upper Valley Vermont and Boston, she is available for weddings throughout New England.
Lindsay can provide a soothing all instrumental fingerstyle guitar set, mix in vocals, or switch to Irish bouzouki and go heavy on Celtic songs for folks who want to honor their Irish or Scottish heritage! While she often plays solo, she can also subcontract a friend or two on fiddle, pipes, concertina, mandolin, bass, etc. for an energetic ensemble performance. One of the highlights of our wedding day!
Lindsay and her trio were one of the absolute highlights of our wedding day. From our first conversation, Lindsay was wonderful to work with—professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. She took the time to understand the atmosphere we wanted to create and helped us choose music that felt personal and meaningful. The music during our ceremony was absolutely beautiful. It created the perfect ambiance and added such an elegant, heartfelt touch to one of the most important moments of our day. Their performance was flawless, and so many of our guests commented on how talented the musicians were. They also played during our reception, and the music brought such a warm, joyful energy that perfectly complemented the celebration. She Plays it All
Lindsay Straw was exactly what we needed for our wedding day. From our first conversation, she was responsive and easy to work with, taking time to understand what we wanted. She went above and beyond by learning new songs specifically for us, which meant so much. She included Irish songs for my husbands family, and learned two new songs for our ceremony (You’ve got a friend in me, Noah Kahan).
