“Let me start by saying that we are not the type to write reviews for anybody - good or bad - but for the sake of future individuals/couples looking to book PK and the Mighty Seven we feel obligated to say that if you are looking for a band to entertain whatever party you are hosting you MUST choose PK and the Mighty Seven. To start, Matt was incredibly communicative and responsive during the initial planning stages, promptly responding to e-mails and joining several Zoom calls leading up to our event. We had a vision for our special day and they accommodated each and every one of our requests. On the day of they arrived early and did the necessary prep work to ensure they were fully situated to provide our guests with the night of a lifetime. They took special care to accommodate our unusual first dance request, song recommendations, and the ambiance we sought to instill. We had a wide array of guests and the overwhelmingly consistent feedback we received was that the band was AMAZING. No exaggeration - the majority of our guests said they were the best band they'd ever experienced. If you are getting married or have a special event in their area you will be doing yourselves an immense disservice not to hire them to make your evening as spectacular as you want it to be.”

“Joseph and Erika played a huge part in how special our wedding day was. We genuinely enjoyed every single part of working with them, from the beginning stages including them hearing our vision and vibe for the wedding, during the planning and using the app which made outlining our event and plans so easy, to the event itself where they really engaged all of our guests and got the party going. Even though we had a brunch wedding, Joseph and Erika helped it feel like we were "dancing the night away!" We had so many of our guests immediately after the wedding and for weeks after comment on what talented and amazing musicians Joseph and Erika are and how fun they helped to make our reception. We loved that they included both live renditions of all of our favorite songs as well as had a killer DJ playlist. Definitely don't miss out on the sing along songs. This duo is so easy to work with and they were so gracious when we fumbled a little on the timing of our event and added an additional hour only to their set only weeks before the wedding. All to say, we are just so grateful we found Joseph and Erika! They are gems.”

“John is an amazing DJ . Having him from the moment we chose him to the day of our wedding having the monthly check ins really helped make the process easier. One thing we really loved is he played all our request. He worked around our schedule, using video chat to finalize everything was great ! “We hired DJ El Sid for our August 9th, 2025 wedding, and our reception was an absolute banger. Sid is super talented and is great at reading the crowd likely because he still actively DJs at clubs which is exactly what we were looking for. He had everyone on their feet dancing from our younger crowd of friends and cousins to our older family and friends. You know it’s a good party when you have a dachshund do the limbo and the men’s ties transfer to their head haha. We got SO many compliments on the DJ from our guests! Additionally, Sid did a fantastic job with the ceremony and grand entrances and dances, and MCing. We had 2-3 planning meetings with him via Zoom before the wedding, which were super helpful to get to know each other, ask questions, and share our music tastes and wishes. Fusion function also had an app where we could upload our songs for the ceremony, cocktail hour, entrances, first dances, and reception to keep everything organized and give Sid a vibe for our music style. Our wedding was an epic party to remember thanks to DJ El Sid!”

Drew had sent me an email a few weeks before the couples wedding with the reception timeline (a first) and kept me up-to-date with any last minute changes the day of. There are so many reasons to hire Cassie, including that she is absolutely a lovely human being, but it really boils down to she will make your whole wedding better, both from your perspective and your guests’. We were definitely that overly anxious couple who thought about eloping at every other decision. Cassie greatly reduced the stress on our plates by doing all the research so we could actually enjoy making the decisions and envisioning our day. Anything we didn’t absolutely love, Cassie would come back to us with new options, helping to fine tune the vision so the day perfectly fit us. When we were worried we were behind schedule or over budget, Cassie and her phenomenal organizational skills always helped reassure us of the timeline and that we were in fact coming in under budget for our wedding. And she did all of this while we lived in California, planning our Massachusetts wedding. At one point during the process, my partner,Cassie, and I were in three different states, but she always found the time to meet and made sure she was always available for us. The day of the wedding, we got so much feedback from our parents and the bridal party that they have never seen a wedding run so smoothly. “My husband and I hired Randall to serve as our photographer for our wedding last summer. In short, Randall did a wonderful job. From the first call he was very kind and relaxed, which we really appreciated given how stressful the wedding planning process can be at times. We selected his “Notting Hill” package, which we loved because it included not only wedding photography, but also an engagement photoshoot, a guestbook based on the engagement photoshoot, and a wedding photo album (with parent copies). The engagement photoshoot came out beautifully; we tried to time it to coincide with the foliage peaking, and Randall was extremely patient and flexible with us as we tried to plan for and work around the unpredictable Boston fall weather. The engagement photoshoot itself also came out great; even though neither my husband nor I had experience getting our picture taken in this type of setting, Randall made us feel very comfortable and had excellent ideas to take advantage of the scenery. We loved the photos so much we had trouble choosing which to use for our save the date cards. During the weeks leading up to the wedding, Randall was very organized and responsive, and stayed in close touch with us to discuss different logistics and plans related to coordinating with the videographers, timing, portraits with family members, and sunset photos, etc. On the wedding day itself, Randall kept us very calm and relaxed throughout the day, worked seamlessly with the videographers, and also took many amazing photographs that made great use of the colors and light, showed his impressive creative vision, and beautifully captured every part of the day. We were so delighted to see all the photographs a few months after the wedding, and to later work with Randall on a photo album which provides a tangible pictorial summary of our day (in fact, we also had trouble choosing what should go into the album because there were also so many great pictures to choose from). Finally, in addition to our wedding reception last summer, Randall also served as a photographer for our legal city hall wedding last winter, and similarly did an excellent job with that too. In short, we had a terrific experience working with Randall and feel very lucky to have been able to work with him as our wedding photographer.”

From the moment we first reached out, their communication style was immediate and helpful - if they didn't know the answer to one of our questions, they kept us updated while they researched it. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient with all of our many questions. The venue itself was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for - an all-inclusive package with a hotel on-site for our out-of-town guests. “Our daughter just celebrated her wedding this past weekend at the Kimpton Marlowe, and I can't imagine a more perfect experience! We visited quite a few venues that we loved, but once we found KM and Rachel, we knew we had found our place. I'm not sure where to begin! The planning process was never stressful thanks to Rachel's patience, professionalism and organizational skills. Our daughter lives out of state, and I can only imagine the insane amount of emails that flew back and forth between her and Rachel! She kept us all calm, and we were always confident that the day would be perfect because of her extraordinary efforts. The venue itself has everything a bridal party could want. It's in an accessible location for out of state visitors to explore Boston and Cambridge. The staff are all warm, friendly and eager to help with anything. The price is very reasonable; we had ruled out Boston/Cambridge because of our budget, but KM turned out to be right on target. There is convenient parking on site. We were offered a block of rooms in the hotel for an amazingly good price, so that our guests didn't have to worry about driving after a big party! The food was exceptional, from appetizers to dinner and even late night snacks of pizza, cookies and milk! The reception room was gorgeous and is very easy to work with because of the neutral colors. I think one of our favorite parts was that we had the entire second floor of the hotel to ourselves! The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and even a room for the bride to retreat when she needed to change was all included. The younger guests danced until the very end, and the "older" parents and guests found a quiet spot to hang out in the lobby area outside of the reception hall, filled with comfortable sofas, chairs and tables. All who attended were happy with the many choices to party, relax and mingle. In my opinion, KM and Rachel are a still a hidden gem in the greater Boston area. I hope this review helps to get the word out that they are the place to go if you are looking for an affordable option with fabulous spaces, delicious food and most of all, an event planner who puts her heart and soul into everything she does. Both of our families raved about how fun and easy Jaffer was to work with after the big day, and we loved all of our pictures.
