“Me oh my, how do we even begin to describe our friends at King of Hearts? My wife Julia and I did intensive research on every band option possible, and it was the charm, grace, warmth, and orientation to producing a custom experience--all clear from our first phone call with Mark--that sold us. "When you know, you know" as they say, and boy was this the case with Mark and his amazing crew at KOH. We contracted for the 9 piece band and had a number of special songs that needed to be played for special people in our guest list (a friend's birthday that day, another couple's wedding anniversary, and honoring a friend's late mother's birthday). Mark did not hesitate to collaboratively plan with us to ensure these surprises were delivered with seamless ease. I also planned a flash mob for my fiance which involved the band playing in at the end over a pre recorded song and segueing into the full set without skipping a beat. Mark was game for all of it. It's clear from the first time you talk to him, King of Hearts is this man's baby. He cares for it deeply and takes enormous pride in the finished product. Mark is also an exceptional emcee of sorts. In lieu of anyone else in that role, at the dinner Mark played host to introduce our best man speeches and other major moments, flashing that incredible smile of his and charming the entire tent of 170 guests. Multiple people approached me during and after the big day to ask, "Who IS this man?" He is truly exceptional at what he does. The quality of the full band is [insert 100 emoji here]. It really made the night. Guest after guest came up to me while dancing to say what amazing energy the band set for the whole evening. Folks who *are not dancers* made their way to the dance floor--and stayed. About half of the guest list were trained musicians or vocalists or creatives of some sort (big a cappella nerd over here) and even the hardest to impress among them were taken by the show KOH put on. It's hard to have a critique of these folks! Even a small hiccup with our first dance song was seamlessly corrected within seconds and the rest of the night went off without a hitch. We regret not getting to know the other band members, but we vibed with them (all)(night)(long). Big love to these guys! Don't hesitate to book them.”

“We found Kendra on Instagram (yes, Instagram!) and instantly fell in love with her style. She is so personable and made us feel like ourselves in front of the camera, which included lots of giggles and following us around while we adventured for our engagement shoot. We picked Kendra as our wedding photographer for a lot of reasons, but initially because we loved her natural, bright and romantic aesthetic. As soon as we started working with Kendra, it was like we had been friends for a long time. She made us feel special and knew exactly what to say to capture our emotions and love for one another in the way that we expressed it, which sounds like a no brainer, but it can be challenging to feel "normal" when a new person is in front of you and taking your picture! In addition to being an incredible photographer, we turned to Kendra for her opinion and advice in some of our wedding decisions that we were having trouble making. Kendra gladly and professionally provided us with her input and even sent us some photos of examples of things we were considering that she had previously photographed so we had a visual. On the day of our wedding, from the moment Kendra arrived, she ran the show. I was so excited to see her and felt like she was a wedding guest that had arrived, but even though we developed an excellent rapport, Kendra meant business and was ready to do her job, so she got the ball really rolling. Shortly after her arrival, tension started to grow as we became closer and closer to the time of the ceremony and things didn't go exactly as we had planned them. Kendra had our backs and helped us to solve as many problems as we could, and make the best of the others that we had to move on from. This would be described under going "above and beyond the call of duty"! Kendra was there for us as our incredible photographer, but she wore many hats that contributed to the success of our wedding day. You should select Kendra as your wedding photographer if you want someone who is calm and personable, while delivering natural, bright and romantic photos. We are so grateful to Kendra for our beautiful photos and all of her help in making our day be a success!!”

The lead crew member on site as our wedding, Julie, was incredible, scanning the crowd for me to bring by husband and I snacks directly amidst formal photos and mingling. The tasting was well thought out and professional. The menu selections are vast and customizable to your needs, while also being reasonably priced. The option to have our menu cooked to order on charcoal grills right beside our tent in live-action was superior; there were no soggy reheated trays of food, the meat timings were perfect, no limitations due to not having cooking equipment as with some catering. Our guests are still raving over the food, and I think about placing a smaller-scale order at least once a month! Many couples say they didn't get to eat their dinner as they were too busy - we MADE SURE we ate our whole plates full. Just thinking back on our prime rib, mac and cheese, bacon-wrapped scallops - I'm starving for more! If you want a catering company that doesn't blow smoke, feels like an extension of your wedding immediately upon meeting, is mindful of allergies and ingredients, with enthusiasm and pride in their team, don't shop around, just do it!”

“East Coast Soul was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding! We had the Philly ensemble at our wedding, and for weeks after the wedding, guests were still going out of their way to tell us how great the band was. The dance floor was packed all night and they brought incredible energy to every song! They also performed our ceremony music and the trumpeter and piano player played our requested songs (“Moanin’” by Art Blakey and “La Vie En Rose”) so beautifully and it set such a special tone for the day! We got married on an island and it was so reassuring to hear that ECS had experience bringing the band and the set up out to the venue. They handled coordinating with the island to get the equipment earlier and it was so reassuring that they had everything under control , even given the logistically complex venue! The pre-wedding survey made it easy to share our preferences without being overly prescriptive. Everything felt well-organized, effortless, and perfectly executed! Thank you so much!”

“We had the most magical day of our lives getting married at the Hampshire House in early May this year. Right from the get go, Hampshire House checked all our boxes when it came to what we were looking for in a wedding venue. It has that old New England charm, is located right next to the beautiful Public Gardens and is the perfect size for an intimate, small to medium sized wedding (we had 60-70 guests in attendance). Most of all, the food here is beyond exceptional and some of the best we’ve had. We are major foodies, and having food that was well-plated, generously portioned, and above all delicious and memorable was a high priority item for us. We were lucky enough to be able to work with Sydney Turnbull and the Hampshire house team. Sydney is the most kind, professional, and detail-oriented catering sales manager and event coordinator and thanks to her, all our venue planning with Hampshire House was truly smooth sailing and stress-free. Sydney constantly kept us in the loop with next steps in our planning timeline, offering thoughtful recommendations and suggestions for our wedding (such as floral placements during our ceremony, order and timing of toasts/speeches, seating arrangements, the list goes on!) She kept in contact with all our vendors, always promptly responded to our many emails, walked us through all the steps during our ceremony rehearsal —somehow making it seem much less daunting, and on our big day Sydney seemed to always be one step ahead, preparing and leading us through every portion of our wedding timeline in such a seamless way. Lastly, since our wedding ended late into the evening, Hampshire House thoughtfully held on to and organized all our florals, and various wedding signage and other items so that we were able to return and pick it up at the venue on a following day. This made it so we didn’t have to worry about anything at all night of and could end our wedding day with the peace of mind that everything was taken care of. Truly, we cannot recommend Sydney and the Hampshire House enough and if we were to do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a thing!”

“It’s been one month since our wedding and every day I go back to how loved and supported I felt on the best day of my life. The Red Lion Inn played a massive role in that. My husband and I fell in love with the venue the second we stepped foot inside. From the historic inn, to the stunning barn, to the location right in the heart of quaint Cohasset, the Red Lion Inn is the wedding venue you dream about. It seems impossible that anything could out-do the beauty and charm of the venue, but the staff sets the bar even higher. From Krystel, to Andrew, to Nancy, to the MVP Toufiq, I have never felt more spoiled in my life. Every single person that interacted with me and my guests was kind, professional, and generous with their time. On top of the charm and the incredible team, the food is second to none. As a vegetarian, I have been to so many weddings where my meal is an afterthought. But not at Red Lion. Every single thing on the menu was absolutely delicious, including the vegetarian options. Beyond how delicious the food is, they accommodated every single guest and their dietary needs like the pros that they are. Red Lion is worth every penny. If you are lucky enough to be considering this venue, I encourage you to fully commit. We were taken care of like family from the first time we stepped foot in the venue, and it is because of them that our wedding day was the best day of our lives. “It is not unusual for wedding planning to begin more than a year in advance of your big day. Venue, flowers, decor, churches (bring your own priest which is a thing), engagement photos, DJ, wedding party, save the dates, invitations. The list DOES. NOT. STOP. With all of these moving parts it really makes you wonder how such a complex event can happen without the slightest issue and seemingly end before you know it. Well, Liv is our reason. After months of planning, and picking, and choosing, and changing, and scrapping ideas our bandwidth for creativity and follow-through was wearing thin. Liv saved the day. She seamlessly coordinated communications between all parties and vendors to ensure that everyone was on the same page. I will honestly say that without her our day would not have come together like it did. Everyone tells you that something will inevitably go wrong regardless of how thorough your planning. Liv didn’t let that happen. The groomsmen forgot tie clips. Liv ran 5 blocks to pick up tie clips for the boys and was back before the girls even arrived at the church. Her foresight and planning were impressive but her ability to think and adjust on the fly is what made our day go off with zero issues. We cannot thank Liv enough for her help. From start to finish, they were responsive and really cared to understand our vision and what were looking for. No vendor has ever maintained such consistent communication and the woman we spoke to at the start answered all my questions and really made me feel confident in choosing them. Our prep call with videographer, Patrick, was so professional and thorough. He went moment by moment asking what we wanted captured at every stage of our wedding day. He was so meticulous and detail-oriented. He was legitimately writing every single thing done and asking specific questions to make sure he didn’t miss anything. And on the day, he and the other videographers were on time, friendly, knew when and how to capture the perfect shots, all while not making it awkward or being too intrusive. We had very special items and details we wanted captured. They didn’t miss a single thing. From a special rosary to my father-bride reveal to adorable moments of our flower girl, every single thing we hoped would be remembered, it was there on film. Oh not to mention, they are one of the few business I could find that didn’t *just* deliver a 3-5 minute trailer, but also a much longer video of your whole day. And yay for gorgeous drone footage! She provided vendor recommendations, talked through various ideas, and was so excited to help our vision come to life. On the day of, Lindsey and Jullian made everything feel effortless and went above and beyond. Family photos went so quickly because they were so organized and they made sure to get photos of all the details we were so proud of. When people talk about our wedding, one of the first things they mention is the photographers. The groomsmen will regularly talk about how Jullian saved the day with wardrobe mishaps; he also saved me from my wardrobe issues too! When my bridal jewelry was overwhelmingly tangled, all it took was handing the necklace to Jullian and it was taken care of. Once we all started dancing, Lindsey was on the dance floor, dancing with us and jumping up in the air to catch the perfect action shots. Honestly, having Lindsey and Jullian at the wedding felt like having two guests that also happened to be wedding planners, photographers, and the life of the party all rolled into one.
