Founder

Bono Restaurant and Catering is a family-owned Latin restaurant, full bar and premier caterer in East Boston, founded in 2019. We cook our mom's homemade Colombian, Salvadoran and Mexican recipes and bring them to weddings, rehearsal dinners, quinceañeras and celebrations across Massachusetts. Choose full-service buffet catering with setup, chafing dishes and our team on site, or pickup and drop-off trays for smaller gatherings. Vegetarian and vegan options available. Trusted by ZUMIX, the City of Boston, Harvard Medical School, Boston University, EY, Bank of America, Alexion and Intellia.

Our Bono Taco Bar is our most-loved offering: guests build their own plates with up to 14 toppings and 8 house salsas and dressings, served in our ceramic bowls for weddings. We are a one-stop shop for your celebration: food, custom cakes and desserts, bartender service, and rentals and chinaware through our partner EZ Boston Rentals. We can also source premium proteins like filet mignon on request. Every event is cooked fresh by the same family that has worked in Boston kitchens since 2006. Trusted by local venues and organizations like ZUMIX, the City of Boston, health centers and Cambridge biotech companies.

Sample catered weddings

This is what a typical Bono wedding looks like: about 70 guests and a full-service Latin buffet cooked fresh by our family in East Boston. Couples love bringing their Colombian, Salvadoran and Mexican roots to the table, so we build the menu around the dishes they grew up with. The star is our Bono Taco Bar, where guests build their own plates with premium proteins, our house salsas and a full toppings bar, served in ceramic and chinaware. Our team handles setup, chafing dishes, labels and breakdown so the couple can enjoy their night. Add custom cakes and desserts, bartender service and rentals through our partner EZ Boston Rentals for a true one-stop celebration.

    Attended a wedding catered by the Bono team and the food was exceptional - they delivered hot tacos and burritos to the venue (with all the extras + sauces!), showed us how to set everything up and very generous with their time while doing so. Thank you very much!

    My mom was asking for empanadas, took a chance with Bono we got beef empanadas, a few pompous and barria tacos! Food was great, service was friendly and the little space was very comfortable! We'll back again for desert another time! And they extra points for supporting Zumix a local youth music organization!
