“I hired Johnnie to plan a baby shower for my best friend. She was so instrumental when it came to bringing my vision to reality and helped elevate my vision further with her ideas and resources. She was able to source everything that we needed, with a mix of cost-effective party elements and high-end party elements where it counted. She also is an extremely talented floral designer, so it was nice to not have to outsource another vendor for that. The day of, she was at the venue early to make sure everything was set-up perfectly, then broke down/cleaned up everything when we were done with the luncheon. Overall, she took a huge load off my shoulders when it came to everything that needed to be sourced and set-up for this event - I was very much able to enjoy the party and be a proper host, and didn't have to spend my nights and weekends with coordination leading up to the event.”

We knew we could handle much of the prep work ourselves but wanted a coordinator to ensure the wedding day ran smoothly so we didn't have to stress or manage logistics ourselves. When it came to the wedding weekend Ashley drove all the way to our venue location to run rehearsal and communicated frequent updates with me when she was running late due to traffic. Despite the delay we were still able to run the rehearsal quickly and get to our next event. On the wedding day itself Ashley kept all our vendors operating efficiently, set up our decor exactly as we asked, and jumped in to proactively manage a couple unforeseen bumps that occurred throughout the evening. At the end of the night she packed up everything and placed it in the bridal suite for us to pick up the next day. Although we didn't add content creation to our package, Ashley still took some video clips on her phone throughout the day and surprised us the next morning by texting them over -- it was such a thoughtful way for us to relive the day. We cannot sing her praises enough an encourage couples to hire Ashley for their wedding planning needs as she continues to grow her business.”

They took the stressful parts of planning a wedding and left us with the fun parts - which is all we should ever want! “Tara and her team are nothing short of incredible. We approached her in the fall with the crazy idea to throw a music festival wedding at the end of June at a riverside park- where we needed her to coordinate 3 bands AND bring in everything from restroom trailers to a food truck to mobile bartending. Not only did she rise to the challenge, but the day was more perfect than we could have ever imagined. She had a plan (and back-up plan!) for everything, and she coordinated with no less than 15 vendors to make sure that we didn’t have to worry about a thing during the wedding. She had a ton of local vendor suggestions, as well, for everything from flowers to misting fans. On top of that, she is a truly lovely human who was a JOY to work with. “I cannot recommend Maddy and Cass enough for someone who needs help on their big day! I was pretty set on planning when it came to vendors, however I was completely lost on the logistical aspect of the wedding day itself. Maddy and Cass were lifesavers in creating the perfect timeline with plenty of Plan B options (which we utilized for weather!). They were so thorough, responding with the most thoughtful emails to some of my silly questions. We hired them for "wedding management", but they did so much more than that. They had an intro call with us, came to my house & met my parents, went to our walk through, had another final call, and were with us from the morning of the wedding day until midnight. They thought of creative solutions for me to address vendors when things got a little hairy, and even offered to reach out to my vendor for me. The day of packet they created was unbelievable. They were everything I needed to keep my day stress free.”

“*Please prepare for a long novel of praise and gratitude for seriously one of the best and most IMPORTANT vendors in the wedding game** From start to finish working with Johanna and the JLM Events team was undoubtedly the best decision we made for our wedding. Full transparency - I was hesitant to book a coordinator due to budget being the MAIN factor for our wedding and frankly I didn’t think we could spare the expense. After finding out from our venue that it was a requirement to have a coordinator (turned absolute GODSEND) I found Johanna last June (2025) and from start to finish have been absolutely FLOORED by her dedication, insight, and complete understanding of our needs and wants for the most special day of our lives. Let me just tell you- Johanna will go ABOVE AND BEYOND for you and then some. I was so thankful to have her as an advocate during this process. As someone who considers herself very “Type A” I had no idea how much of a crucial necessity having someone like Johanna would be during this process. The vendor selection is overwhelming to say the least but getting into the nitty gritty of contracts, Plan B scenarios, and just overall comprehension of this business is not something that is talked about enough in this industry. With the guidance and wisdom of Johanna, I know for a fact our experience was as seamless as it was because of her knowledge and diligence. She checked in with me routinely leading up to our wedding year and then on a weekly/daily basis once our wedding year hit. Before booking the remainder of our vendors (which were a lot LOL), I would make sure to send her the contracts I received to make sure everything looked okay and with her guidance we were able to avoid some MAJOR possible disasters with some really important vendors (talking Catering & Glam…pretty important :) ). My whole point is this- you have no idea what you’re looking at or even the questions to ask, even if you think you do, you need someone like Johanna and her team as allies. We avoided these possible disasters because we had Johanna. And even better, once confirming that it wasn’t in our best interest to book said vendor(s), Johanna would be right there with other options for us that were highly recommended and most important- in our budget. I never once felt pressured or like that I wasn't heard at all with Johanna during this process. She received and heard every ounce of my wants and intentions for this day and for that, I am indebted to her. Our wedding day was such a sacred day and because of the team (led by Johanna ) we didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING. Our main focus was just being present with each other and savoring every second- that’s how it should be! BOOK JLM DESIGN AND EVENTS, trust me it’ll be the best thing you do :)”
