Me and my husband just got married here and I can’t recommend this venue enough. Great location just by the George Washington Bridge, beautiful inside area and beautiful architecture, plenty of parking, gorgeous waterfront view. They just recently renovated the place and did an amazing work with it. It definitely is my dream venue and I’m in love with it. Monika and Arthur are amazing and they were so helpful the entire way through. They also work with a lot of great vendors that they recommend to you.

We had our wedding at this beautiful venue in December 2020. Monica was wonderful and made our Hallmark wedding a reality even with all the Covid restrictions it was wonderful. The staff and all Monica’s recommendations were fantastic and the food delicious! We Love BG!

My partner and I celebrated our ceremony & reception at the Art Factory, October 2023 in the Epic Prime venue. Sharonda our event coordinator was instrumental in making our day absolutely incredible. We bounced ideas around in numerous meetings in the build up and created an itinerary of the day which she executed perfectly. Our 120 guests made use of all corners of the venue - the cave room for a beautiful ceremony, the courtyard and library room for cocktails and then the banquet room for dinner and dancing, with an attached partially roofed inner courtyard for our cigar lounge and all-night cocktails. Sharonda coordinated our 2 food trucks to set up in the courtyard outside the main space with fire barrels as a nice added touch which we used for our after-party hangout with smores - our guests were blown away. We cannot thank the whole Art Factory team enough for seeing our vision and then competently taking the reins so my partner and I could just soak it all in. We can't wait to stop by again from time to time to trigger our happy memories. (Ps. all immensely affordable, the team's helping hand and all the decor is worth double the price they charge, and they have a fantastic bunch of vendors from alcohol, food, photography, music - everything! to make it an incredible day).

The Liberty House was amazing venue to have our wedding. We had both ceremony and reception there. Everything went so smooth and the guest appreciated it all. Weather was going back and forth so we were able to have it outside with a tent to protect the guest. Food was amazing. All in all I’d do it again in a heart beat.

We had our wedding reception at Crystal Plaza on March 15, 2024 and I don't even know where to begin! I'll start by saying because of Crystal Plaza, we had the best day of our lives. When touring venues all I kept saying in my head was that I wanted something fresh and different. From the moment I walked in the door, I could sense that about Crystal Plaza. The venue holds onto the classic elegance you look for in a wedding, but with everything they have to offer, it puts a modern and fresh twist on classic beauty. Max took time to go through all aspects of our day at Crystal Plaza and was polite and accommodating since day 1. They were responsive and helpful through all of the wedding planning and when the day came we felt like royalty. The bridal and groom suites are out of this world and the bridal attendants are extraordinary. They even asked if I was too hot or cold and adjusted the temperature all day for me! They brought me a smoothie made there by request because I was having a hard time eating with all the excitement! I could go on and on. The cocktail hour is like nothing I have ever seen before and the food for dinner is actually delicious whereas at many weddings that is not the case. Every guest has been raving about the food, the service, and the seamless nature of our day. The best decision we made was booking Crystal Plaza for our wedding!

Sharing a message I sent to the GM of The Park Savoy because I was that impressed with how perfect my wedding was: From the very beginning of this process back in 2022 to the day of the wedding, we were treated with such thought and care. For two whole years, Johanna was timely, responsive, courteous and super helpful on every email exchange and every phone call. The night before the wedding and on the day of, our Maitre' D, Jessica, was our guiding light. She made us feel so comfortable and cared for, and as someone who is quite the perfectionist, I felt confident enough in her hands to completely let go and enjoy the day trusting that she had me covered and she did! She listened to and advocated for all of my requests and I can't thank her enough for such a seamless, flawless day. I would also like to sing the praises of our bridal attendants, Danielle, Inez and Maya. I cannot say enough good things about these three. They were always just a step behind us the entire day and anticipated our needs before we knew we needed them. They kept us hydrated and fed, they kept us on time and they kept my dress in pristine condition as I walked the grounds on a rainy day. They remained calm which allowed us to remain calm, but even more important to me was that they created a comfortability that made us feel like we were spending the day with old friends we had known for years. I was so sad saying goodbye to each of them at the end of the night because they were such a vital part of the most intimate day of our lives that they feel like family at this point! Even my parents cannot stop raving about the level of service and comfort they felt and the way they were treated like royalty from 7:30am until midnight. I'd also like to give a shout out to one of our servers, Quazy, who took note of where my husband's grandparents were sitting and went out of his way to make sure they were taken care of. We had multiple people come up to us and compliment his service. We had the most magical, beautiful day of our lives and it is all because of the hard work, dedication and positivity of all the people we mentioned above. It is hard to put together a team where all members are not only equally good at their jobs, but also approach their jobs with genuine care and enthusiasm. Now when people say The Park Savoy is a well-oiled machine, we know what they mean! You've got this down to a science. I will encourage everyone I know to get married here because now I am just dying to attend a PS event as a guest! Thank you again for everything. We had the time of our lives.

My husband and I wanted to express our sincere gratitude for the overall beauty and charm of Grand Cascades Lodge, which made our wedding day truly memorable. The stunning views, exquisite grounds, and the spacious Emerald ballroom were perfect for our celebration. Working with Jean and Sara was generally a positive experience, and their welcoming attitude during our visits meant a lot to us. However, I wanted to share some constructive feedback regarding the planning process. While our customization requests were accommodated, there were communication challenges, especially on the day of the wedding, with multiple points of contact. The food tasting experience was delightful, and we appreciate the effort in accommodating our preferences. Although some dishes at the cocktail hour were well-received, the braised beef dish didn't meet the standard set during the tasting. Unfortunately, there were a few issues during the weekend that impacted our experience: - The memory table candles were not lit until late in the reception, despite prior requests. - Our sweetheart table had a wrinkled tablecloth, affecting the overall presentation. - The florist's flowers for the cake were left with the kitchen staff, and despite assurances, they were not added as planned. - The shuttle service delay inconvenienced elderly guests who had to wait longer than expected. Additionally shuttle service that was promised during the after party did not work as agreed upon. While these points highlight areas for improvement, we want to emphasize our appreciation for the positive aspects of our celebration. We understand that events may encounter unforeseen challenges, and we believe that sharing our experience can contribute to enhancing future events at GCL. Thank you for your attention to our feedback.

The venue can host up to 150 guests, but personally, I'd cap in the ball park, give or take, around 135. My wedding had just shy of 100 people and the day couldn't have been more perfect 3. The coordinator I requested/was assigned (in the months leading up to our event), Silje, and our maitre'd on the day of, Marc, were both fantastic to work with! They truly made sure the vision we had for the day was exactly what we wanted it to be!

The people are very nice to work with. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy with everything. The food is very good and their prices are very reasonable. They also have lovely silk flower arrangements for each table that you can borrow for your event which is a big savings. It is in a nice setting and there is a gazebo on the property for an outdoor wedding.

Our historic house was built and finished in 1774 and was the home of New Jersey's first elected Governor William Livingston. Throughout time the house was purchased to the Kean family where they resided until the last resident passed away in 1995. Our 23 acres grounds are full of beautiful gardens. You may chose to get married in our gardens which can be found throughout the whole property. Guests will love exploring and walking around the grounds during some off periods of the event. A first floor house tour is also an option so you and your guests get to see the beauty of Liberty Hall Museum.

Liberty Hall Museum helped to make my Mid-September wedding an absolute dream. We had our ceremony in front of the lush apple orchard, our cocktail hour around the rose garden that was still blooming and our reception under the tent. We utilized the Carriage House during cocktail hour and for dessert. Liberty Hall staff, as always, was warm, helpful, accommodating and so, so patient. There was never an issue and they were quick to fix anything before it was noticed. Our photographer was so excited about all the different opportunities for unique and beautiful photos throughout the grounds, over the course of the evening. I have a hard time finding the words that truly express what an amazing location Liberty Hall is. Almost 5 years later my husband and I are still receiving compliments about our wedding day.

Carissa was the absolute best. Every single question that we asked, she had an answer to. She was extremely responsive and in the days leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day she and her team made our day memorable. We are weeks out from our wedding and our guests are still raving about how good the food, drinks, and service was at Felina. The venue is gorgeous with the vault and floating chandelier. There are so many good spots to take gorgeous pictures. There are 2 bars and the drinks kept flowing! If you are worried about the ceremony and reception being in the same place, don’t stress! They flipped the room in 42 min flat and as our guests were eating and drinking on the mezzanine during cocktail hour. Our guests didn’t even notice the room flip. It was also nice that on the day of our wedding the Felina rooftop was open to the public. So after the reception our guests could go to the roof to buy their own drinks and enjoy the view of Ridgewood. I couldn’t be more happy with picking Felina to have our ceremony and reception and if I had to, I’d pick them 100 more times. We knew that the North Shore House would be our wedding venue from the moment we walked in for the first time. We fell in love right away with how beautiful it is, both inside and especially outside by the lake. We were already convinced by that alone, then we met Eric, Kelly, Emma, and the rest of the staff who were so kind, professional, accommodating, and wonderful to work with that we were even more certain. We then went for a food tasting and were blown away. The food is amazing. (Don’t just book a wedding there for the food, go to the tavern and have dinner there. You’ll be glad you did.) Every single aspect of the planning from day one was made so easy by the staff. They made us feel special, like we were their most important clients ever. The people there are just absolutely the best, that can’t be emphasized enough. Then there’s the venue itself. The grounds outside by the lake where our ceremony and cocktail hour were are absolutely gorgeous. It’s all very well kept and you won’t find a more beautiful spot to get married. Inside where we had the reception has all been refinished and is just stunning. We loved the atmosphere and the vibe of the whole place. It’s not glitz and glamour, it’s classy and elegant and perfect. There are also a dozen or so rooms on the second and third floors, which we loved because we were able to stay the night with our family and friends after the wedding. The rooms are all refinished recently too and are equally beautiful. Let’s talk food. We did all night hors d'oeuvres rather than a traditional dinner, and the food was amazing. There was passed food as well as stations, and never a shortage. Everyone there said the food was great, zero complaints. There was so much, I couldn’t possibly list everything we had so I won’t even try. But it was SO. GOOD. If you’re thinking that maybe this is your kind of place for your wedding, don’t even think twice about it. There is no maybe. It’s definitely the place. We can’t thank the staff enough for everything they all did to make our wedding perfect. We love that we can even go back, eat at the tavern, and book a room for an anniversary perhaps. We couldn’t be happier that we chose The North Shore house!

From start to finish, Black Bear Golf Club was a dream to work with for our 10/14/23 wedding. Lee was the greatest wedding coordinator a couple could ask for. She dished out helpful advice and suggestions, answered all our questions, and was warm and friendly every step of the way. She was a source of calm on wedding weekend and we're so grateful for her expertise. The food at Black Bear is generous and delicious. Couples have so many tasty options to choose from and your guests will not leave hungry. The cake that Black Bear supplies from Calandra's is equally incredible. The reception area is spacious -- there's two bars, ample seating, and a large dance floor. The room for cocktail hour is a nice inside/outside space, with enough room for guests to spread out, enjoy each other's company, and take in the scenery. It poured on our wedding day, so we weren't able to use the outside ceremony area, but the staff did an incredible job setting up inside -- the extra decorations and touches they added made it feel just as beautiful. If you get married in fall like we did, prepare to be wowed but all of the pumpkins, gourds, mums, and harvest vibes. Of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the mountains -- our guests couldn't believe how breathtaking they were as the fog rolled in, and the gentle wisps of foliage sprinkled within. Net/net: Black Bear is affordable in terms of the wedding industry; the food is delicious and bountiful; the scenery is beautiful; and the staff is friendly and helpful. I've been replaying this wonderful day in my head endless since the big day. THANK YOU for everything!

Deity includes six hours of exclusive use of the venue, catering, event coordinator, furniture, linen and candle décor, Catering is provided in-house by the executive chef, who offers sit-down dinners as well as standing cocktail receptions.

I cannot say enough positive things about our wedding experience here. We got married a week ago and I’m still on cloud nine. The venue is beautiful and it’s so nice to have everything happening in one building but still with a change of scenery. The roof is great for pictures and a first look, and the loft is beautiful with all the little lights. The basement makes the reception feel very separate in a good way, and I think all the changes in scenery made the day feel longer. The venue also feels very Brooklyn, which we loved. I will note the stairs to the basement reception space can be a bit of a challenge for older guests, but the staff was helpful in providing assistance and this didn’t end up being a problem for our older guests, including one in a walker. There is a chairlift between the ground floor cocktail lounge and loft ceremony space, but if someone really can’t navigate stairs at all, the reception space won’t be accessible for them. It’s so helpful to have everything included with the venue so you don’t have to coordinate a bunch of vendors. We also had severe allergies that we had to accommodate for the groom and several guests, which Deity was incredibly understanding and accommodating of. The space is nice enough that you don’t really need florals (aside from maybe a few things to decorate the geometric arch in the loft) or decor—the included linens look great and the included candles feel cozy and cohesive. It’s also nice not to have to worry about tips for the staff, as it’s all included in the total. The only thing to be aware of is the additional bar charge—it can get a bit pricey if you do a full open bar and cover that tab, but you can also opt for a cash bar and have your guests pay. The Deity team is so helpful and answered all of our questions beforehand with patience. The day of coordinators keep things running so smoothly throughout the day, and once we started I didn’t feel like we had to be in charge of anything. Anna and Emily told us where to be, worked with our photographer so we could get all the shots we wanted, and would grab us if we were needed If it’s in your budget I would recommend renting the bridal suite, because it’s so helpful to be able to get ready at the venue and things feel less rushed. It’s also gorgeous, the lighting is fantastic, and you can get some really great shots. The drinks were great and the food was excellent, and we loved that they set aside some time during cocktail hour for us to eat together, get some one-on-one time, and make sure we had all the hors d’oeuvres. Family style was great, so that everyone got to try both entree options. I just wish we could have taken home the leftovers, and that cocktail hour was like a half hour longer. Overall I would highly recommend this venue, as long as your guests can navigate stairs with some help. TL;DR: The inclusive nature of the venue alleviates a lot of the work you might otherwise have to do planning a wedding, and while it's not cheap I do think it helps the booking remain in your budget without costs ballooning out of control. Nearly every single guest we’ve spoken to after the wedding has told us we had the most beautiful, efficiently-run wedding they have ever attended, with the best food they've had at a wedding.

The Sanctuary was formerly a church near The Octagon, a historic octagonal building on Roosevelt Island, now on the National Register of Historic Places. We had an exceptional time at Hardings, start to finish. Jill and Ken made ever step, from signing to contract to the actual party itself as stress free as it could possibly be -- going so far as to help us envision what the ceremony could be like and making six different cocktails at the tasting until we found the right one. The food was delicious (the amount of compliments we got on the apps alone could fill a book), the cocktails were unique and flowing and the staff made the whole day a dream. The restaurant was an elegant and gorgeous place to have the ceremony and it seamlessly turned into a perfect party spot after. We cannot recommend Hardings highly enough!

Surrounded by acres of apple orchards, a secretly nestled pond amidst the trees, meandering walking trails. — Kismet House is a memorable and escape close enough to find a wooded paradise less than two hours from New York City.

I was hired to film a wedding at the Kismet House and was thrilled with the staff and venue. It is a beautiful upstate orchard with a gorgeous pond for the ceremony, remodeled lodging, a rustic barn, and plenty of space for a large party. The staff was kind and very attentive. I can't wait to go back as a contractor or guest!

I literally cannot say enough good things about Van Cortlandt Golf Lake House. Our experience here was truly magical and more than we could have ever dreamed of. We had our wedding reception here recently and we were blessed with amazing, warm weather that day. Our guests could not stop gushing about how beautiful the fall foliage, the ducks/geese, and the lake itself looked. That is part of the magic of this event space -- having the covered outdoor deck allows you to truly appreciate the natural beauty of the surrounding nature. In addition, the tent has these wonderful string lights that add to a romantic and joyful ambiance. We chose minimal centerpieces and decorations - books, candles, and potted flowers - but I think the space can look great no matter what someone's personal style is. The second greatest thing about this site is definitely the special events coordinator, Althea. She was absolutely wonderful in helping us navigate the process. She was very friendly, accommodating, and supportive before, during, and even after the reception itself. She's truly an expert coordinator and I am so grateful that we were able to work with her because of how above and beyond she went. (Thank you so much, Althea!!!) Everything was perfect -- the food was delicious (especially the cheese tortellini), parking was easily available, the venue is wheelchair accessible, and for our 80-person wedding, it definitely did not feel cramped at all. Lastly, it did not break the bank while still being a lovely, memorable experience.

I’ve worked and been to a ton of weddings, and this is easily the best venue I’ve ever been to. I know I sound biased because it was where I had my wedding, but all my guests said it as well. The grounds are beautiful. Between the wild flowers and the view, it will take your breath away. There are so many amazing spots to take photos! The venue provides a golf kart so you can get around quickly without having to hike. All of my photos look like a dream. Inside the venue is so cute. The barn doors behind the bar wood flooring everywhere gives that fresh boho vibe! The bridal suite comes equipped with hair and makeup chairs. It’s a great place to store your stuff throughout the night since the doors lock. The food was absolutely incredible. I had so many guests message me days after saying how it was the best steak they’ve had. The whole staff paid close attention to our families and kept checking in on them. My brother and mother in law are both vegan and they got amazing entrees with fresh ingredients / they made them both huge trays of apps during cocktail hour. Most weddings they only get a plate of vegetables so this was an awesome surprise. With your day comes a coordinator and bridal attendant. We absolutely loved them both! Annie was such a big help from day 1. I never felt stressed because she was there to answer every question, and offer solutions and advice. She made sure our wedding ran smoothly, and truly created the best day of our lives for us. Our attendant Fatima was awesome. She had such a positive attitude and was running around all day for us. She kept making sure our drinks were never empty, and checking that we had everything we needed. I love how the two of them kept creating special alone time for my husband and I making us plates of food so we didn’t miss out. At the end of the night they had everything neatly packed up for us so we didn’t have to stress! I can’t say enough good things about the Garrison. I am so so grateful we decided to have our wedding here, and will spend my life day dreaming about the perfect day they created for us.

WOW what can I say. It was the most beautiful venue for the best day of my life. I had so much fun and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Allison and Sara at Terrain were great. I had no problems with communication and they asked me all the questions that I hadn't even thought about. They kept me on track and it was a pleasure working with them. My family has not stopped raving about how much fun they had and how beautiful this venue was. They also loved the food and the cocktail hour appetizers. It was a nice intimate wedding and I couldn't have dreamed it to be any better than it already was. The decorations were done in house by Terrain Design and It was perfect. Everything I had pictured in my mind from the bouquet to the decorations for the receptions, it was absolutely stunning. I only wish to do it all over again. Thank you so much.

I was so excited when I found this venue and the experience did not disappoint. I definitely underestimated the time and stress involved in planning a wedding, but Peachtree Catering makes it so easy. You met our designated Peachtree coordinator at our menu tasting and that kicked off all the detail start work: food and drink options, color schemes, linens, etc. and they will work directly with your additional vendors (DJ, florist, etc.). Everything is really organized and easy, from digital look books, to table setting mock-ups, all of the little details were already thought of, we just needed to make selections based on our personal style. I can't emphasize enough how awesome the staff is - the day went perfectly, the food was fantastic, the table settings and service were perfect, I can't think of any detail that was overlooked! Our day of rockstars were Ashley and George who made sure we were fed, got to taste every appetizer, and I don't think there was an empty water or wine glass all night!

After canceling our big celebration due to the pandemic, we turned to Bottino to plan a ~25 person wedding in under a month. Danny, Anthony, and their whole team were incredible. They were so accommodating and flexible (as plans continued to evolve up to the evening before!). We had the ceremony, cocktails, and a delicious dinner in their beautiful back garden, and they managed to turn the space over in record time, prioritizing everybody's safety, without disrupting the festivities. The staff were exceedingly wonderful and kind, and they ensured the event went off without a hitch. Cannot recommend Bottino enough!

We did a partial backyard rental the night before our wedding as a place gather and greet our guests who came into town early. We had 40-50 people in a perfectly sized reserved section in the back of the backyard. The rest of the backyard was lively and energetic with other Threes Brewing guests which added a nice energy to the overall backyard. The Threes staff (I believe their name was Fletcher) taking our drink orders was super friendly and quick. We felt well supported across the night. We also ordered food from Meat Hook (2 x sliders, 2 x chicken sliders, 1 x veggies sliders, 1 x hogs in a blanket) and would order a little more food next time if we did it again. We would definitely have another event with Threes!

The Gem Saloon hosted the surprise engagement party I threw for my fiancé and it was the perfect spot. Starting first with my communication with Nicole, who is the events manager, she was incredibly responsive and helpful, as we sent numerous emails back and forth throughout the planning process. Having someone so readily available and quick to answer questions is a huge perk in my book, I feel without that, that’s where you lose a lot of business from the start. Then fast forward to the day off, the Gem allows you to bring outside decorations and desserts (if you wish) and do not charge a cake cutting fee. Being able to put your own decorative touch on your event can be special so it’s nice that Gem allows you that option. In terms of food, I did place a food order with Gem from their platter menu. All of my guests said how excellent the food was - I personally can sway that the beef skewers were awesome, highly recommend! The bartender assigned to my event was also lovely, she managed the bar swiftly (had about 55 guests) all on her own and had a very generous pour. The last person of note was Bernard. He was the on site manager the day of my event and he was a sweetheart. He checked in every so often to see if there was anything he could do or that we needed, incredibly attentive. Then when my fiancé and I were waiting on our Uber to leave the event, he gave us each a free glass of champagne for one last celebratory drink while we waited. Overall, everyone went above and beyond to make this day special and my guests felt that, they couldn’t have more than enough good things to say. One even said, I’ve lived and worked in NYC my whole life, how did I never know about this place? So if you’re on the fence about Gem, don’t hesitate, they’re absolutely great. And as someone who can be a critic of overly positive reviews, I will give the one negative that I have, was just that during the event (and keep in mind I reserved the second floor mezzanine - which was great to feel separated and private from the rest of the bar) that between being higher up and having around 55 people, it did get a bit hot up there, but you can always request that the air be turned down! All in all, 5/5 venue and party

She and her staff were so friendly at the rehearsal dinner, specially with the special requests I had for a few of my guests. Our wedding went on without a hiccup. Her staff decorated my tables exactly how I wanted. She met with my photographer to show the grounds for photo options. She was readily available in moments and was on point with the schedule of events on my day. The food was great and it seemed like things went seamlessly. She came to one more rescue for our friends and family. The following day, we did not anticipate so many of our friends and family wanted to leisurely join us for dinner. She was able to set us up in a space to accommodate us at the last minute. Cheryl was so easy to work with throughout the planning process. Her experience and organization is paramount. She made us feel comfortable and confident with our plans. Our family and friends had a blast at the party and the grounds that weekend. Many said they would return, including us.

If you’re reading this review just stop and book your stay already, actually book 2 extra nights. My husband and I had a wild idea to host our family and friends here AND our wedding ceremony. Gigi, Matty, Brian, Angel, and others, are absolute legends and went above and beyond for us. This location can not be beat for a relaxing, rejuvenating, and peaceful visit. The team really went the extra mile to solve our planning problems (I had many) and made us feel like family. Some of the cabins are pet-friendly which meant the world to us as my father is blind and needs his seeing-eye dog to get around. We knew there would be no hassle having friends bring their dogs too! The rooms are cozy and accessible, for those with mobility issues there are walkways and cabins on flat ground. We dream about sitting around that camp fire with all our friends and family often and are forever grateful to have found Belleayre Lodge!!

The Hamilton Manor was such an easy choice to make when booking and every step leading up to our wedding date was even easier. Melissa S. is amazing wedding director and incredible to deal with from day one when we signed our contract to the very end of the reception. But I would love to shout out the bridal attendant Jade and maitre d Loyd, they really kept our night going ensuring we had everything we needed from switching shoes to refilling our drinks. The food was incredible and the drinks were even better. We've been getting non-stop compliments about our night on how fantastic the staff, venue and service was. If you're thinking about viewing The Hamilton Manor...do it !

The Briarcliff Manor was the perfect venue for our wedding day! The staff was incredibly attentive and communicative throughout the planning process, ensuring every detail was discussed and all our questions were answered clearly and thoroughly. On our actuall wedding day, everything flowed seamlessly thanks to their understanding of our vision and their meticulous execution. The grounds were pristine and spacious, providing a lovely backdrop for our ceremony and photos. The ballroom was decorated beautifully and the food was absolutely delicious. I'd highly recommend Briarcliff Manor to any couple looking to have a memorable and special big day! They’ll take care of every little detail so you’re able to just enjoy your day. Also special thanks to Perry, Vincenza and Emily for really seeing our vision through! My bridal attendant was also amazing and I feel terrible that I can’t remember her name, but thank you so much to her as well!

What a venue. What a team. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our experience with and at Hotel Du Village. Heather was our event coordinator, though I think she played multiple roles throughout the process - wedding planner, vision/ideas consult, resource guide/manager, friend...you name it. She wore many hats, and she wore them so well. Heather always kept our vision at the forefront of the planning process. I remember her saying throughout our time that it was most important to her that this was the day we "always imagined it would be." Indeed, it was. The bones of the venue are so unique and special - many guests commented on the design of the space. In addition, the food and drinks are amazing - another common remark we heard from many guests after the wedding as well! Heather and her team made the whole day feel smooth, seamless and tailored to what we envisioned. In addition, the whole team was so friendly, attentive and energetic throughout the process and especially day-of. You can tell they have the timeline management down to a science - all transitions felt natural and smooth throughout the night. We felt the love and the care that this team brings to cultivate such an amazing experience for its couples. We feel lucky and would highly recommend working with them!

I recently hosted my wedding at the Elmwood Park Zoo and let me start by saying: my guests and I had a great time!! The carousel and Christmas decorations made for a beautiful photo spot, the canopy gardens hall is a lovely reception space, and their bridal suite is a great new addition for getting ready photos. Becky was so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. She always got back to me quickly with any question or concern I had, and my wedding day went very smoothly. I truly had a great time at the zoo, and I really recommend the trail of the jaguar as your cocktail hour space as my guests LOVED it!!! Now for the things that kept this from being a five star experience. Firstly, I had numerous guests complain about the drinks being EXTREMELY weak at the bar. I was happy that that the open bar was included in the price of their standard package, so I can't say I'm surprised about it, but my guests were pretty bummed about the quality of the drinks. Second, the carousel broke while guests were riding it. I got to ride it personally as did many of my guests, but a lot missed out because of that technical hiccup. Finally, and most upsetting to me personally, I was extremely upset about the lack of communication regarding the construction at the zoo. I understand that the events team does not control these projects, and that they cannot guarantee the use of any ceremony spot, but I found out about the construction (and that my chosen ceremony site had been torn down) on my own by visiting the zoo for leisure. It was a DIY decor wedding, and I had already made many purchases for decor based on the site that I had discussed several times with my coordinator. That lack of communication cost me money and caused me unnecessary stress that would have been avoided if someone would have just told me when the construction had begun MONTHS prior to my personal visit. Despite those few issues, I had a beautiful wedding at the Elmwood Park Zoo. I had so much fun, and my pictures turned out lovely! I had so many people say it was the most fun wedding they had ever attended. I would absolutely recommend them for your wedding, as long as you stay on top of them about future construction plans as the zoo continues to expand ;)
