The Barn at Black Walnut Farm

Our 34 private acres are meant to be explored. Wander through gardens, meadows and woodland paths, gather for cocktails on the lawn, host dinner under the stars, sneak away for sunset photos, or end the night around the bonfire. Old stone walls, towering trees, hidden corners and unexpected details give the property a sense of discovery—and plenty of room for your wedding weekend to move, mingle and make itself at home.

Choose the setting that feels most like you: our romantic Forest, reached by a lantern-lined boardwalk and framed by a living arch; the Meadow, surrounded by wildflowers and Catskills views; or the classic Lawn, with towering trees and the historic farmhouse nearby. Each feels completely different, and all three are just a short walk from the barn—so you can choose your favorite without asking guests to travel anywhere.

Built in 1891 and restored for serious celebrating, our climate-controlled barn features vintage chandeliers, a dedicated bar, farmhouse tables, vintage chairs, a hidden speakeasy lounge, and a four-foot disco ball. We welcome up to 175 guests, though 150 or fewer offers the most flexibility. The barn seats up to 100 for dinner; larger celebrations can dine outdoors under the stars or a tent before heading inside for dancing.
