“Renee is THE wedding planner - look no further!! From the jump, she took us under her wing and answered any and all questions we had, was extremely attentive, and made us feel comfortable and prepared. Having planned too many weddings to count, she really knows the industry and all the ins and outs of planning a wedding. She met with us multiple times leading up to the wedding, and always came prepared with outlines, itineraries, and details that we would have never thought of! She also is the sweetest and so easy to get along with. Truly felt like we had known her for years. With regards to communication, she was extremely responsive, and always kept us in the loop. As we got closer to the wedding, and things inevitably became more hectic, vendors would email us questions and before I could even think of a response, Renee had already replied and had the situation handled. “Tara and her team are nothing short of incredible. We approached her in the fall with the crazy idea to throw a music festival wedding at the end of June at a riverside park- where we needed her to coordinate 3 bands AND bring in everything from restroom trailers to a food truck to mobile bartending. Not only did she rise to the challenge, but the day was more perfect than we could have ever imagined. She had a plan (and back-up plan!) for everything, and she coordinated with no less than 15 vendors to make sure that we didn’t have to worry about a thing during the wedding. She had a ton of local vendor suggestions, as well, for everything from flowers to misting fans. On top of that, she is a truly lovely human who was a JOY to work with. “If you’re thinking about hiring Modern Social Events for your wedding, just do it. They were incredible from start to finish and made the entire process feel so easy and stress-free. Every detail and request we had was handled without hesitation, and on the wedding day they were constantly making sure everything stayed on track behind the scenes. The biggest testament to how amazing they are was when a huge thunderstorm popped up right before our ceremony. Within 15 minutes they had every vendor switched over to the rain plan, and somehow made it feel like that had been the plan all along. “Booking Joanna was hands-down one of the best decisions we made. She’s not just a wedding planner - she’s a negotiator, cheerleader, visionary, and truly, a friend. From our very first consultation, we could tell she genuinely cared about our vision. She was incredibly knowledgeable about our venue, super responsive (we were texting back and forth up till the wedding and she was never out of reach), and consistently provided the reassurance you need throughout the planning process. Whatever we wanted, Joanna made it happen! I mentioned I wanted a harpist for our ceremony, and she immediately said “got it,” and we booked the most incredible harpist. She also recommended key vendors like transportation and catering, all of whom had worked with her before. The entire team operated like a well-oiled machine, which made everything feel seamless and stress-free. On the wedding day, Joanna and her team executed everything flawlessly.
