“Garuda Blue was an absolute wedding dream to work with from our very first email down to the last song of the night. As a musician myself, I was really looking for a wedding band that would bring a tight and premium sound, so I had a really high bar. On top of being exceptionally professional, they were just so easy to coordinate with throughout the entire process. The day-of was seamless, they arrived early and were fully prepared. They provided a 3 piece trio for our cocktail hour, as well as a full band for our reception dinner. Their sound is incredible (jazzy, modern, classy, well-tuned, etc). They used the venue’s beautiful concert grand piano, which really brought the vibe and sound to a whole new level. Their repertoire is wonderful, they read the room perfectly and had an unbelievable piece for every vibe. They also learned a song of our choice (even going so far as to share the arrangement with us beforehand which was super helpful). I honestly can’t recommend them enough if you want live music that will make your event extra special, I’ll definitely use them again for any events that I can.”

“Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. While Second Song made the process leading up to the wedding easy and seamless (and the cold sparklers were a hit), DJ Tyler did an amazing job at my wedding and absolutely CRUSHED the dance floor. My husband and I have differing music tastes, but DJ Tyler was able to find common ground and played banger after banger that kept all of our guests on the dance floor till the very end. As someone who goes to music festivals often, I was impressed by his mixing skills and appreciated that there was never an abrupt transition between songs. He also did an amazing job MC’ing and executed all of our requests for playing specific songs at certain times and starting songs in the middle. “From our first conversation with The LoveTap, we knew we had found our DJ. Conner was so easy to work with during planning. He not only listened to our ideas but he actually helped us make them better. When we weren't sure about our grand entrance and had asked his thoughts, he knew exactly what to do. He also helped with our father/daughter dance and made the song the perfect length. One thing that stood out was when I recorded a tribute to my mom instead of doing a speech, and Conner mixed it into a song that played perfectly during the ceremony. He didn't stop there either. During the reception, he surprised us by weaving part of my sister's MOH speech into Promiscuous Girl, and honestly, it was one of the coolest moments of the night. Our guests couldn't stop talking about it. The dance floor stayed packed the entire time, with people telling us afterward that they literally never left it. Hiring Conner was such a great decision, and we'd recommend The LoveTap to any couple looking for a DJ who actually cares about making your day special and helping you throw the best party ever.”

“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

She also handled special announcements and little last-minute things without ever making anything feel complicated. And then there’s her personality. Ashley has this energy that is just contagious. She is warm, positive, fun, and genuinely cares about the people she is working with. When you hire her, you aren’t just getting someone to play music. You’re getting someone who really cares about your wedding, your guests, and making sure everyone has an amazing time. Our dance floor was alive, everything stayed on time, and she was incredibly interactive without ever making it feel forced.
