Presidio Artists

Presidio Artists is a Bay Area music agency representing conservatory-trained string and jazz musicians for weddings and private events. Founded by violinist Aleksi Zaretsky, we connect couples with skilled, professional ensembles - from solo violin to full string and jazz groups - tailored to the size and style of their celebration. Every musician we work with brings years of formal training and real performance experience, so you can trust your ceremony and reception are in capable hands.

Unlike many wedding performers, our musicians come from conservatory backgrounds and perform across classical, jazz, and popular genres - including string arrangements of contemporary hits. Many of our musicians perform with leading ensembles in the region - including the San Francisco Symphony, SF Opera, SF Ballet and SFJazz. We offer flexible ensemble sizes, multiple-location support for ceremony and reception, and the ability to learn new songs on request. Our focus is matching the right musicians to your specific vision, not a one-size-fits-all package.

    An exceptional musician

    Aleksi is a very talented musician as well as smart, nice and personable. He took the time to talk to us in advance and understood our style of music, the theme of our wedding and made it a special one. His music was enjoyed by all and our guests raved about him. I would love to and will hire him again for other occasions.

    Wonderful Solo Violinist for Our City Hall Wedding

    We recently got married at San Francisco City Hall and had Aleksi Zaretsky perform as a solo violinist during our ceremony (see picture). Presidio Artists was among the list of musicians pre-approved by City Hall to perform on site, and we reached out to them because they are a young local group based in San Francisco and offer both solo violin and string duo options. Aleksi was excellent from the beginning. He responded to our messages promptly and shared the group’s repertoire, along with specific samples of their solo violin performances. They also made it clear that most special song requests could be accommodated. On the day of the wedding, Aleksi arrived exactly on time and performed a beautiful, fun, and happy selection of music throughout the ceremony, including our grand entrance as we walked onto the Mayor’s Balcony. We absolutely recommend Aleksi and Presidio Artists to anyone considering live music for a wedding or special event. They were professional, responsive, and a wonderful addition to our ceremony.     Working with Presidio Artists for our 60th birthday dinner party was a fantastic decision. Carlo and Tre communicated directly about what we needed, making the planning process straightforward and stress-free. Their classical approach to music elevated the entire event—they played with real skill and sophistication that kept our guests engaged throughout the evening.     Pure Elegance at SF City Hall

    Working with Aleksi Zaretsky for our SF City Hall wedding was one of the best decisions we made! From our initial communication, he was prompt, kind, and so easy to work with. On the big day, he arrived early, coordinated seamlessly with the space, and played our requested songs flawlessly. Hearing Trumpet Voluntary echo through the rotunda was a moment we will never forget. We had a minor hiccup with starting on time but that didn’t impact Aleksi or his performance one bit, he continued to play music while we waited for the wedding party to arrive. If you're getting married at City Hall, do yourself a favor and book Aleksi!

We provide music for both ceremonies and cocktail receptions, as well as any other times during your wedding.
Unless otherwise discussed, our musicians will plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to their performance time.
All of our musicians are conservatory trained and have extensive experience performing professionally at the highest caliber. Our roster includes musicians from the San Francisco Symphony, Opera and Ballet orchestras, as well as players who have performed at SFJazz, the Super Bowl, Chase Center and more.
