“We first met Island Creek Events at a bridal expo in Queenstown, and from that moment, we knew we were in good hands. After an initial Zoom call where they explained everything they offer, how the process would work with a day-of coordinator, and broke down all the pricing, we felt confident moving forward—and we’re so glad we did. We had Naomi as our day-of planner, and she was absolutely amazing. We truly could not have asked for a better person to help guide us through the final stretch leading up to our wedding on August 2nd. From the start, she made everything feel manageable. We Zoomed once a week to stay on track, and she walked us through what needed to be done on our end vs. what she would handle. She answered every question (big or small) and was always willing to schedule extra meetings if we needed them. “Tara and her team are nothing short of incredible. We approached her in the fall with the crazy idea to throw a music festival wedding at the end of June at a riverside park- where we needed her to coordinate 3 bands AND bring in everything from restroom trailers to a food truck to mobile bartending. Not only did she rise to the challenge, but the day was more perfect than we could have ever imagined. She had a plan (and back-up plan!) for everything, and she coordinated with no less than 15 vendors to make sure that we didn’t have to worry about a thing during the wedding. She had a ton of local vendor suggestions, as well, for everything from flowers to misting fans. On top of that, she is a truly lovely human who was a JOY to work with. “Booking Joanna was hands-down one of the best decisions we made. She’s not just a wedding planner - she’s a negotiator, cheerleader, visionary, and truly, a friend. From our very first consultation, we could tell she genuinely cared about our vision. She was incredibly knowledgeable about our venue, super responsive (we were texting back and forth up till the wedding and she was never out of reach), and consistently provided the reassurance you need throughout the planning process. Whatever we wanted, Joanna made it happen! I mentioned I wanted a harpist for our ceremony, and she immediately said “got it,” and we booked the most incredible harpist. She also recommended key vendors like transportation and catering, all of whom had worked with her before. The entire team operated like a well-oiled machine, which made everything feel seamless and stress-free. On the wedding day, Joanna and her team executed everything flawlessly. One moment I’ll never forget: right before the ceremony, when I started to feel nervous, her assistant walked me to the aisle, talking me through it and making me feel completely at ease.
