“My husband and I hired Madison as our day of coordinator. We did not hire a florist and ended up doing a lot of DIY projects for our wedding decor. We really wanted a professional to help us with setup and take-down of decor on the wedding day, so as not to burden our family/friends and take them away from the event to help. Madison was so friendly in the months leading up to the wedding and offered us lots of helpful advice on things we didn't even think to prepare for, like arranging seating charts and timing of processional songs. Our original venue coordinator ended up having to move away just a couple weeks before our wedding day, and Madison took the lead in syncing with the new venue coordinator on all the things we'd talked about. This really helped us out and took a load off our plate in those last few weeks before the wedding! The day of, she came early to the venue and, like a fairy godmother, had incorporated all of our decorations beautifully before we even arrived, so we were able to take lots of photos beforehand! Throughout the event, she cleverly found ways to repurpose some of our decor items to give them a second life, like setting reception flower arrangements along the room's bookshelves to dress them up for the ceremony, making a beautiful display with our ceremony roses and boutonnieres on our memory table, and using me and my bridesmaids' bouquets to create a beautiful sweetheart table arrangement! We were so incredibly thrilled with how well Madison and her team were able to follow our vision and exceed our expectations. A final sweet memory I have from near the end of the night - my hair was getting very tangled with my dress buttons on my back from dancing, and I was overheating and sweaty. Madison and her team arranged my hair into a beautiful low bun style so I could go back and have fun dancing again without worrying about it tangling further or looking bad. :) I'm so thankful we hired Madison as our day of coordinator, and we can't recommend her enough!!”

“It is not unusual for wedding planning to begin more than a year in advance of your big day. Venue, flowers, decor, churches (bring your own priest which is a thing), engagement photos, DJ, wedding party, save the dates, invitations. The list DOES. NOT. STOP. With all of these moving parts it really makes you wonder how such a complex event can happen without the slightest issue and seemingly end before you know it. Well, Liv is our reason. After months of planning, and picking, and choosing, and changing, and scrapping ideas our bandwidth for creativity and follow-through was wearing thin. Liv saved the day. She seamlessly coordinated communications between all parties and vendors to ensure that everyone was on the same page. I will honestly say that without her our day would not have come together like it did. Everyone tells you that something will inevitably go wrong regardless of how thorough your planning. Liv didn’t let that happen. The groomsmen forgot tie clips. Liv ran 5 blocks to pick up tie clips for the boys and was back before the girls even arrived at the church. “Booking Cassie to be my wedding coordinator three months out to my wedding day was the best decision I made in the wedding planning process! I really thought I did not want or need a planner/coordinator, but having Cassie there really allowed me to enjoy my wedding. Cassie was diligent, organized, responsive, and patient. Cassie was so on top of every detail and knew all my vendors’ contracts inside and out! I had done lots of research online to make sure I knew every detail going into the wedding planning process, but there were some things I would not have known and Cassie was able to guide me through. For example, one of my vendors insisted an additional hour of rental time needed to be added to the wedding day (that would have cost me hundreds of dollars) and Cassie advocated for me, citing their contract, that it was not necessary. Cassie was also available to help make decisions regarding decor, helping me decide on pieces that best suited and enhanced the venue. I explained my vision of romantic candles everywhere throughout the event. Cassie and I worked together to shape where everything would go to create the seamless look. Cassie (and her assistant Cammie) made everything look stunning on the wedding day - and expertly packed up everything at the end of the night for us. I thought I could have my sister or family friend be in charge of so many of these tasks, but it was *so nice* delegating this out to a professional so that everyone could enjoy the day. Steph is absolutely the most worth it investment we made for our wedding. From day 1, you can tell that she is going to make your wedding day and lead up to it as easy and seamless as possible. I genuinely do not think our wedding would have been as smooth or fun if I had to worry about making sure everything was in place and on time. My husband and I chose a venue where every aspect of our wedding needed to be coordinated with third-party vendors (string quartet, DJ, catering (incl. table, chairs, linens), set up, breakdown, etc). When we realized how much we underestimated the time and coordination needed to plan such an important event, we knew we needed help. Enter: MB Events. From the start, Marissa kept my husband and I organized throughout the entire wedding planning process, ensuring our vision for the day came to fruition, and truly made our wedding day better than we had ever expected. We planned an outdoor wedding, and inevitably it was supposed to pour (thunder, lightning, flood, tornado warnings), and Marissa and her team worked from sunup to sundown to ensure that our day was exactly as we had imagined, rain or shine. Marissa was an advocate for my husband and I when difficult day-of -decisions needed to be made in relation to the rain, which allowed us to just “focus and take in the moment” which we are extremely grateful for. With some last minute timeline adjustments by Marissa, we were able to have the outdoor ceremony of our dreams. This would not have happened without the expertise and dedication of Marissa and her team. Multiple times throughout the wedding planning process I told my husband that Marissa seems to be the only vendor we chose that is actually “on our side.” We struggled with the organization and responses of other vendors, especially as the wedding season was in full swing, but Marissa never missed a moment. She was professional, quick to respond, and extremely reliable. I know that there are many options when choosing a wedding planner, but I can honestly say, I believe Marissa and her team to be the best there is. Following the dinner, a private Ghost Tour of Boston also took place for the wedding party, and the timing for these events was crucial. She did so professionally, with good communication with myself, the hotel staff, and the florist. From lace table runners to floating candles, everything was perfect when we arrived. Wei Yuh also communicated well with our guests concerning the day’s itinerary, suggestions for appropriate dress (since the ghost tour could be a bit chilly), and handled special needs requests with ease. She took charge of scheduling gift presentations and toasts between courses, tweaking them as needed to meet our schedule. From the very first meeting, she helped us stay organized and gave us the confidence that everything would run smoothly. On the wedding day itself, things didn’t exactly go as planned, it ended up pouring during our outdoor ceremony (we’re talking over an inch of rain in just half an hour!) moving everything under the tent. Even in the middle of all that chaos, Jamie and her team handled it with such calm professionalism. She was literally soaking wet from walking us and the bridal party to under the tent for the ceremony. Her team also did a fantastic job with the styling and décor. We had a few last-minute changes, but everything still came together beautifully. Since our wedding was at our home (not a traditional venue), I know it made her job more challenging, but you would have never known. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Jamie and her team. They made our day perfect, even under very imperfect weather conditions. “I thought I (ALL CAPS THERE!) was a perfectionist until I met Allie LeBon. If you're thinking "is this worth it?" or "do I really need a planner?" or even, "I can do this all myself." ...you maaaybe can, but if you want your day to be utterly spectacular - hire Allie. I can't stress enough the importance of hiring someone like her. Our entire day was magic because of her and her CityLux team. We started out our journey with a clear goal, but it all felt a bit daunting. Allie was with us from start to finish (top to bottom planning and day-of!) and made every step along the way incredible. She was prompt, professional, honest, and kind. It's hard to find vendors that are as "on their game." There were times that we were completely at a loss for what was next and she always communicated with clarity so we felt comfortable and prepared to make decisions. There were sooooo many details only she could have thought of. Just when you think you have it figured out, there are 3 more things Allie was thinking of. I constantly said, "oh wow.. I didnt even think of that." Like coordinating bus routes and timing that out... no thank you! We felt like it was all under control because of her meticulous documentation, flawless communication with our other vendors, and emergency plans she put in motion behind the scenes. MOST importantly, she makes sure you can focus on your day and nothing else. From the napkins, to the placecards, to our grass wall, to our place settings, to the drink signs, and everything else in between, it was all so complete and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Not to mention, she professionally vetoed some of our ideas, and finding someone who knows what's realistic and what's not is hard to find. I've recommended her to ALL my friends and every time I get rave reviews. Don't go it alone throughout this process. Go with Allie and go with CityLux! PS: The picture you see with our reaction was exactly the moment we saw our vision come to life at the reception. Speechless.”
