Alexa is a Cape Cod local, and really knows the Cape, Massachusetts, and beyond in and out. I don't work with the same network of vendors each time, although I have worked with many. Everything is truly customized to your special vision! I am back and forth between CA & MA and have family in the LA area so I will perform day of/month of duties in & around Los Angeles, CA! We are expanding!

    Alexa kept me sane through a Nor'Easter!!

    We are so grateful to have had Alexa as our wedding coordinator! Our wedding weekend came with a few more surprises than we bargained for, including a nor’easter that completely changed our original plans. Alexa was amazing through it all, helping us navigate the last-minute changes and keeping everything organized and moving forward. On the day of the wedding, she was exactly what we needed—calm, attentive, and great at wrangling everyone and keeping things on schedule! She handled all the behind-the-scenes details so we could focus on celebrating with our family and friends. Even with the wild weather and unexpected changes, the day went off beautifully. Alexa was such an important part of pulling it all together, and we couldn't recommend her enough!

    Nor'easter Wedding Day

    If you’re someone who wants to get married on Cape Cod but have no idea where to start, you need to get in touch with Alexa. She and I spent months carefully crafting my dream wedding, and her expertise, connections, and knowledge were truly unmatched. For me, having someone like Alexa was a must. She kept me on track throughout the entire planning process, always offered thoughtful suggestions, and handled so much behind the scenes with vendors that I didn’t even have to think about. I had always pictured my ceremony happening on the beach, and Alexa helped me plan it exactly the way I envisioned it—even though I was doing a very non-traditional micro-wedding. Then, my wedding weekend arrived, and a nor’easter swept through Cape Cod. Alexa single-handedly saved my wedding. We spent the two days leading up to the wedding tirelessly searching for an indoor space that could accommodate my ceremony. Ultimately, she found the perfect location—one that was still practically on the beach, so it felt true to the vision we had created from the beginning. The new venue was an hour away from my original location, and somehow, all of my vendors were willing to make the drive through a nor’easter to make the day happen. Despite the completely unexpected circumstances, Alexa guided me and every vendor through the chaos and made the entire situation as stress-free as possible. I genuinely could not have pulled off my wedding day without her. From the months of planning to navigating a literal nor’easter, Alexa was there every step of the way. She went above and beyond to make sure I still had the wedding I had dreamed of, and I will always be incredibly grateful for that.

    Hire Alexa !

    Alexa was amazing! Very organized and helped our day move smoothly. We had a number of last minute adjustments which changed the itinerary a bit. I tried to apologize for this and she literally said to me “you never have to apologize during your wedding” … really supportive and we were well taken care of! Can’t thank her and her team enough!

    Bride

    Our wedding was a rather large backyard wedding with 164 guests, and we hired Alexa for month-of coordination services. I want to start by saying that the wedding itself was beautiful, and I truly appreciated that I did not have to manage anything on the actual wedding day. She and her team handled the logistics, and that allowed me to be present and enjoy a truly amazing day. That said, this review is based solely on my experience with Alexa’s bedside manner and the way I felt throughout the planning process. I was warned that she could be very direct and that I shouldn’t take it personally. I tried to keep that in mind, but there were several instances where I felt like my ideas weren't being heard or understood, and I often felt as though I was being corrected or made to feel like I had done something wrong when something wasn't the way she expected it to be. It wasn’t clear to me what I needed to do vs. what she was taking off my plate. The moment that affected me the most happened during our rehearsal. My father passed away eight years ago, and having my mom walk me down the aisle was something that was incredibly meaningful to me. During the rehearsal, when my mom was walking me down the aisle, and while explaining the hand off of me to my now husband, Alexa said, “This is something the father usually does.” It was an incredibly emotional moment for me, and that comment immediately put a damper on the rest of the rehearsal. I understand that this may have been intended as a factual observation or instruction, but given the circumstances, I found it particularly insensitive and hurtful. Especially since she knew the backstory of my dad. Weddings are already incredibly emotional and stressful, and the way a coordinator communicates can make a huge difference in the experience. Ultimately, Alexa did what she was hired to do on the wedding day, and our wedding was beautiful. I just wish the process of getting there had felt more supportive and reassuring. A little more kindness, patience, and reassurance in her communication with clients would go a very long way.

    Alexa made my wedding dreams become reality

    Alexa made my wedding dreams become reality. We were the first wedding the venue was having, which obviously comes with figuring out a lot of details and learning curves and she navigated each with one with grace and perfection. She went above and beyond working with each and every one of our vendors when we had to go dark a few weeks before the wedding. She made sure everything was taken care of. I did not have to think a single second of our wedding day, I was able to blissfully enjoy every second without worrying about a thing! We cannot thank Alexa enough for all of the work she put into making our day one we will never forget. Thank you, Alexa!!!!

I took a leap of faith and started Cape Cod Wedding Planning 4 years ago. I'm originally from the Cape and know the area very well. Prior to this, I was a venue coordinator at an inn Dennis Port, where I created a new wedding program and helped set up all the events.
Usually two. Depending on the setup required, it may only be 1 coordinator or 3. We'll have a phone consultation to review your setup plan. I can then gauge how many coordinators are needed and will provide a price.
No! I work on your behalf, customizing everything to your vision and planning goals! I thus work with a wide array of vendors. I typically prefer to present local vendors first to save a little on the budget before branching out to further distances. There are some vendors who I work with frequently and have built a rapport with, but I do not earn commission and only present them if they actually match your vision.
That's fine! I offer a la carte pricing, so I only charge for those that you need my help with planning. If I present vendors to you and you happen to find one of your own, you don't have to pick mine. You're free to choose whoever you want.
You'll actually pay them all directly. In a nutshell, I'll share their contact information so you can vet them out. Once you pick the vendors you want to move forward with, you're free to contact them to review the details and finalize orders. Then you can sign their contracts and pay them directly. I'll be your liaison, helping you through the booking journey and answering questions so all you basically have to do is sign the contract and submit payment.
That's a trick question! The answer is that it depends on the planner's service offerings. Always be sure to ask vendors what their services include. For our services, they are interchangeable. We strive for quality, so we don't feel comfortable showing up on the day of without collaborating in the month of. I also like to make sure all vendors are aligned beforehand so I can guarantee set up will be very smooth for all stakeholders involved on the big day!
Typically, full planning includes venue selection and planning all the details with the venue, whereas partial planning does not.
Yes, we can help with DIY weddings & events by placing decor on flat surfaces. We do not hang, build, assemble, attach, or serve food & beverage. We only place pre-arranged arrangements on flat surfaces. We do not hang lighting or signage. We do not assemble or carry arbors. We do not set up sound systems. We do not handle or serve food & beverage. We can lend someone a hand in setting up chairs. We can however find you vendors who do any of these items via our planning packages!
A gratuity at the end of the night would be very much appreciated. They are never expected though. If you are happy with our services, we would really appreciate a 5-star review after. I think the reviews are even more appreciated, as the business is still growing and requires a lot of nurturing.
