From start to finish, she was so calm, collected, and professional throughout the entire planning process — and when our wedding day arrived and the heavens decided to open up and pour all day long, Jyl did not miss a beat. She had to do a lot of shifting around because our cocktail hour was supposed to be outside, once she was done, you wouldn’t even know the plan had changed! “Having Steph & Mali coordinate my wedding allowed me to be present in every way possible. I can tell you every song that played and every single song I missed at my wedding. If I missed a song, it was because it was time to cut the cake or do the garter toss. In fact, the morning of my wedding, I was laying on the couch with my bridesmaids and a facemask until 10am. How many brides can say that? We hired Steph because I knew I couldn't do it all myself (wrangling together our Mexican and American families). She went out of her way to recommend our DJ and cake and absolutely knocked it out of the ballpark. She toured our venue and befriended all of the staff which made vendor coordination meetings go smooth. Although our venue came with a coordinator, I felt that I needed someone who knew what I wanted and would voice that to others. Steph was that mind reader. Steph and Mali are your people from the moment you wake up on your wedding day. We asked them to help with set up, timeline, and break down. I have no idea how they managed to set up our venue up to pure perfection and also make sure either Mali or Steph was with the bride/ groom at all times. At one point, Mali noticed we were struggling with our dog and offered to hold her leash while we finished up with family portraits. I can't tell you if anything went wrong because Steph just handled it. Day of, I was asked about 4 questions and if any changes needed to be made, Steph made sure I approved them, even if my mom said it was okay hahah. Steph is always prepared for worst case scenario. She helped me out with providing like 20 batteries for these inflatable sharks I was using on the dance floor. Which without the inflatable "Bad Bunny" sharks, my dance floor would not have been as awesome. She also offered me some liquid IV for when my legs started to cramp up from all the dancing I was doing. Day of coordinator is not enough of a title for what Steph does. She's so much more and I'll never be able to thank her enough.”

My husband and I chose a venue where every aspect of our wedding needed to be coordinated with third-party vendors (string quartet, DJ, catering (incl. table, chairs, linens), set up, breakdown, etc). When we realized how much we underestimated the time and coordination needed to plan such an important event, we knew we needed help. Enter: MB Events. From the start, Marissa kept my husband and I organized throughout the entire wedding planning process, ensuring our vision for the day came to fruition, and truly made our wedding day better than we had ever expected. We planned an outdoor wedding, and inevitably it was supposed to pour (thunder, lightning, flood, tornado warnings), and Marissa and her team worked from sunup to sundown to ensure that our day was exactly as we had imagined, rain or shine. Marissa was an advocate for my husband and I when difficult day-of -decisions needed to be made in relation to the rain, which allowed us to just “focus and take in the moment” which we are extremely grateful for. With some last minute timeline adjustments by Marissa, we were able to have the outdoor ceremony of our dreams. This would not have happened without the expertise and dedication of Marissa and her team. Multiple times throughout the wedding planning process I told my husband that Marissa seems to be the only vendor we chose that is actually “on our side.” We struggled with the organization and responses of other vendors, especially as the wedding season was in full swing, but Marissa never missed a moment. She was professional, quick to respond, and extremely reliable. I know that there are many options when choosing a wedding planner, but I can honestly say, I believe Marissa and her team to be the best there is. Personally, the only downside I’ve found about working with Marissa has been the end of it all… because it feels kind of like I don’t have my best friend around anymore!”

She did so professionally, with good communication with myself, the hotel staff, and the florist. From lace table runners to floating candles, everything was perfect when we arrived. “We first met Connie Clark when our daughter was organizing her wedding reception. At that time, Connie was involved with a startup venue that was undergoing renovations. To cut a long story short, around 7 PM the evening before our daughter's reception, it became clear that the venue was not prepared. When the venue manager was not responding to her calls, she rallied the group that was financing the remodeling project. By 10 PM, the lead investor instructed Connie to find an alternative location for the reception, which was scheduled for the following evening. Connie reached out to a nearby coffee shop/bar, explained the situation, and requested the on-duty manager to contact the owner to see if the reception could be held there. Shortly after, Connie received confirmation that the reception would take place at the new venue. She informed the investment group about the change in location and began reorganizing for the new space. Our family learned of the change around 7:30 AM on the day of the reception, and once we gave our approval, Connie assembled a team and transformed the coffee house/bar into a beautiful reception hall. What Connie managed to coordinate and accomplish in such a brief period was truly remarkable.”

“As someone who had an unfortunate experience with a wedding planner scamming me (aka I paid her a deposit and she ghosted me), believe me when I say Breanna is the real deal. I signed her for partial planning services and she did not disappoint. For context, I had no idea what I was doing. I had never attended a wedding and my parents are immigrants who didn’t have the whole American wedding experience, so they had even less of a clue of how it works. I knew I’d miss crucial details and needed someone along the way as I was planning all by myself. Breanna came up with timelines, emailed vendors for me, checked in frequently, and gave me solid guidance whenever I needed advice. I think where she really shined was the day of. So if you’re considering it, at the very least sign her to be your day-of coordinator. I’m an extremely organized person, but on the wedding day I didn’t want to be running around. She was extremely professional and responsible throughout the whole day. Breanna was always one step ahead. I arrived at the church, she was already there waiting having organized the wedding party to walk down the aisle. Bus pulled up at the venue, Breanna was already there clipboard in hand. Reception started, Breanna was already next to me asking about my thoughts on the food and how things were going. Another thing — before I said it, she already did it. For example, I was worried my welcome sign didn’t get set up so I asked her. She pointed at the sign. She had already set it up. I was worried about vendors knowing about a change of location. Breanna had already updated every single one of them via email days ago. I was worried about whether I signed the right vendors. Breanna vetted every single one. And they all nailed it on the day of. Like I cried tears of joy for over my photographer and florist and how phenomenal they were. Hear me out. I’ll be the first to admit I have trust issues and I am the person who is very much like “I’d rather do it myself because I know it will get done and get done well. So I’ll just do it.” But girly pop, you can’t do it all. And you shouldn’t have to. Enjoy this moment. Breanna is the planner you can trust. Believe her when she says she’ll do it. Know she will do well. For the first time, I could close my eyes, take a deep breath, and know I had nothing to worry about.”
