My love of music started in the back seat of my dads car as he took me to daycare, with Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin On" on repeat. My love of music spans generations, cultures and genres, and has taken me all over the world, from England, Spain, St. Marteen, and Austria. As for me, I am a Brooklyn native, who during the pandemic was able leave corporate career to pursue my passion of music. Sean Kershaw & the New Jack Ramblers formed in 2001 as a loose collective of musicians from various backgrounds who got together to play country music for fun. By the mid-aughts the band (now firmly centered around Yours Truly, Sean Kershaw) was a well-honed, professional music outfit playing everything from club dates to weddings, festivals and corporate and charity events. A CD, Coney Island Cowboy was released and the band hit the road, touring the East coast, California and Alaska. Sean also toured Australia using local musicians. Fast forward to 2023 the band is going strong, playing monthly gigs in Brooklyn and events everywhere.

Based in Staten Island, New York, Cause and The Effects is an enthusiastic band comprised of young musical professionals ready to perform at your wedding. The band was founded in 2011 but the versatile members have been playing together and separately for more than two decades. You can choose between a seven-, eight-, or 10-piece band to perform at your reception, while smaller groups can perform during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Show-stopping music is performed with a variety of instruments such as horns, percussion, saxophones, flute, and piano. They are based in Staten Island but are willing to travel to destination weddings.

After years working at a luxury entertainment design company in NYC, I noticed a void in live music, one where planners saw music as the background to the main event rather than something that can guide and elevate it. The bands weren’t listening to the room. We should make deliberate music choices based on the people in it, reacting to them. Not the other way around. My desire to create this harmony sparked the founding of Honey+Vinyl in 2013. Ten years in the industry, she began to dive deeper into the science of sound; how lighting, décor, food and timing interact with music, which drove her to establish the Sonic Sommelier™ service.

For ceremonies we play classical music and for cocktail hour we play jazz, but of course we will do whatever the Bride & Groom want! This includes Pop, Latin, Broadway or any combination of the above.
