  • Serves Broadalbin, NY

This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements and lakeside wedding bashes to hiking engagements to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York + California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, & candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few unique shots on top of it all.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are so happy with how our wedding photos came out. Kathryn was wonderful to work with. She is professional and organized, and takes amazing photos. We spoke multiple times before our wedding day so that she could capture exactly what we wanted. We developed a timeline of when we'd take different photos throughout the day, and she was able to adjust accordingly. Originally we planned to take sunset photos around 8 PM. However, my husband and I were having so much fun on the dance floor that we forgot entirely. Kathryn reminded us, but she recommended that we stay on the dance floor and enjoy our time with the band and our guests. I'm so happy she encouraged us to keep having fun, and to not leave the party for a few photos. She captured our favorite moments and I'm so happy we choose her as our photographer. We wholeheartedly recommend her to any couple looking for a photographer who genuinely cares and delivers stunning work.

For Couples who are good at heart, that live for the seconds and party like no tomorrow. Capturing Authentic moments, focused on heartfelt storytelling. Based in the Southern Adirondacks, I have been wedding photographer for 15+ years now telling over 400+ wedding days.

Awarded Best of Zola
Hire Jason as your wedding photographer—it will be the best and easiest decision you make. I first met Jason in 2021 at my best friend’s engagement shoot and was immediately impressed by his creativity, calm energy, and genuine personality. A year later, at her wedding, it felt like reconnecting with an old friend. When I got engaged in 2023, there was no question—Jason had to be my photographer. He was the first vendor I contacted, and we even chose our date based on his availability. Jason made every step of the process fun and meaningful. For our engagement shoot, he spent the entire day with us, bringing us to a brewery and Crown Point State Historic Site (his amazing recommendation). Not only did we get beautiful photos, but it was a genuinely fun day! On our wedding weekend, Jason photographed both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. He wasn’t just our photographer—he was “our friend Jason,” capturing every special moment with care and creativity. On such a busy, whirlwind day, that brought a sense of comfort and made the whole experience even more special. Our photos are stunning, timeless, and everything we hoped for. Jason pours his heart into his work, and it truly shows. Having him as part of our wedding was a joy, and we’ll treasure the memories he preserved forever. I can’t recommend him highly enough!

Photography for people who dread being photographed. With 15+ years specializing in camera-shy couples, I've learned that your wedding is not a generic fantasy from the interne, it's a legacy. The industry pushes couples to perform for the camera, but when you already feel awkward being photographed, that pressure can erase the real, unscripted story of your people. My approach is built for humans who hate being photographed. I create an experience that melts stiffness and anxiety so the raw, honest truth of your connection shows up and the story of everyone who matters is protected.

Christopher Duggan Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,450
  • Serves Broadalbin, NY

In the 20 years that I've been photographing professionally, I’ve honed my skill of knowing when to step in and make things happen, and when to step back and simply *allow* things to happen. Documenting the REAL emotion of the day is how we capture those picture-perfect moments. They happen organically, not by force, and I promise you: we're not going to miss ANY of them. = )

Awarded Best of Zola
We chose Christopher to photograph and videograph our sangeet celebration rather last minute as we were busy planning everything else, so it was quite a relief and so helpful to see how swiftly he communicated with us and delivered on such wonderful memories. Christopher was amazing to work with - as we had wanted, the posed photos were quick (yet came out incredible). We asked him to focus on the celebration and dancing and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. We highly recommend Christopher -- thank you for making our evening so special!!

I present fun, elegant, and exciting Wedding Photography for my clients. My style is photojournalistic; I feel it's the most effective way to tell a story. After all, there is so much happening on a wedding day. Between the ceremony, dancing, and endless extravaganzas, the most memorable moments will naturally occur.  My goal is to capture the emotions and memories of your day through my lens. These recollections are your forever keepsakes, a chapter of your life's story. Every image accounts for those who were by your side, delighted for you, and the next step in your journey. I appreciate you for giving me a few moments of your time.t

My husband and I were from out of town and hired Sean to photograph us at a Christmas gala at the place we got married. He was accommodating to last minute changes to make the most of the session and even went above and beyond to make it happen. Upon first impression, he was upbeat and had a vision. We were outside in sub 30 degree weather with fading evening light as well as low light inside a building and he was up for the challenge. We ended up with beautiful images in less than ideal conditions and that is what makes a great photographer. Sean has a sense of humor and an eye for that perfect photograph. He was fun to work with and his heart for people and creativity shows through. Thank you Sean for capturing this time in our lives.

The photographer, Jonathan, and his assistant, were absolutely amazing. They arrived early, were flexible and really accommodating to our vision. They also really hustled! They took advantage of every spare moment they had to get additional photos, and kept us on schedule super tightly. They even carried around things like bottles of water for me (the bride) as we took lots of photos in the hot upper floor of the venue. Many guests also mentioned how beautifully the photos turned out. However, we did have an issue in which, due to an injury to the editor's hand, we did not receive our photos in the agreed-upon timeframe. Had we been informed of this delay ahead of time, we would not have had any issue just waiting a bit longer. The main concern was that we weren't alerted of this delay until after the initial deadline had passed. We did request a discount due to this, which they accommodated. And the photos did still turn out amazing!

My husband and I come as a photo team! We feel your day should be captured your way! So we tailor our style and editing to each unique couple! It’s not about us, it’s about you. We will help you document what is most important to you, the way you envision! Just like you, we have felt awkward in front of the camera. We’ve had photos taken of us that we didn’t like. We will make sure you not only feel comfortable, but that you look good! We give you prompts to keep you moving so you look and feel natural and comfortable.

Awarded Best of Zola
Where do I start with Lacie and Tim?!? Lacie was the first vendor I booked and for a good reason, it took one call and that was it - I knew she would be perfect for our wedding day. My husband and I have always been photo-shy and have often took awkward photos, and had a fear this would happen during our wedding day. There was never a moment that Lacie did not know what to do or what to suggest. We never had to think about it. What I believe contributes to Lacie's photo magic is she is an amazing person, incredibly easy to talk to and a joy to be around, and makes you feel confident and comfortable - we realized during photos it was like we were gabbing and being around one of our friends, and this distracted us from the fact and anxiety that we were actually taking a photo. Not only did this make taking photos fun, but it captured a lot of great candid moments and the photos felt natural and not overly staged. On wedding day, they were on top of it - timely, organized, and efficient. They were also incredibly supportive while we were both pretty anxious. They also give your sneak peaks freaky fast. We have already seen a few of them, and they look straight out of a magazine. It was an absolute joy working with Lacie and Tim, and we definitely plan to use them again in the future as we grow our family.

We truly couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our engagement session and wedding! Eddie was so warm, welcoming and loving. My husband and I are a little awkward in front of the camera but during our engagement session, Eddie worked with us to find a way to be more comfortable. By the end of the day we were all laughing and having fun! Flash forward to our wedding day, we couldn't wait to work with Eddie again. Despite our extremely cold day, Eddie braved the cold with us and managed to get the most romantic, beautiful photos. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Eddie overall. He made the whole day so smooth and enjoyable! We will definitely be using Eddie for all our photoshoots in the future. XOXO Maggie and Jesse

My name is Ali Cushing; a NY-based photographer working in a blended documentary and editorial approach, emphasized with a cinematic method, and a personalized, true to life editing style. I am honored to be entrusted with depicting genuine love, authentic characters, and immortalizing precious memories. I see beauty in the subtle details as much as the wide, epic scene, while I see glory in the mundane in-between moments as much as the heart thudding highs. I am adamant that everyone, of all genders and orientations, any ethnicity, culture, or faith, all shapes, ages, and abilities, are welcome and I’d be delighted to work with you.

Awarded Best of Zola
I couldn’t be happier with my experience working with Ali! She reached out to me on Zola and I am so glad she did. I was impressed with her portfolio and I really loved seeing how she would capture little moments in the weddings she had done. We set up a video call before booking and we clicked. She is very calm and helped with my pre-wedding nerves. She worked with us on a payment plan and she was always very quick to respond to any of my questions. She really listened to what we wanted. She got to the venue early to scout out different shots and came to check in with me a couple of times before we even began taking photos, which I did not expect but was very sweet and considerate of her. When we were taking photos, she really helped to guide the more “posed” photos but she also captured a lot of beautiful candid moments. We had so many guests come up to us and compliment her and that was before we even got the photos back. She sent us our sneak peeks the next day and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. She captured so many beautiful moments and her style is exactly what we wanted. Nothing felt “overly edited” just perfectly genuine. I cannot recommend Ali enough. I cannot wait to see the full gallery of photos because I know they will be nothing short of perfect.

You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again. That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.

Awarded Best of Zola
We knew Jess would take great photos — we’d already done our engagement shoot with her and loved her work — but on our wedding day, she truly outdid herself. From the moment she arrived, she picked up on exactly what we needed. I (the bride) was feeling overwhelmed by how many people were in the room while I was getting dressed, and Jess immediately noticed. She said all the right things to calm me down and even offered to kindly ask people to step out so I could breathe. Throughout the day, she kept everything running smoothly. She knew how to make us laugh, how to organize big groups effortlessly, and how to move things along quickly — which I especially appreciated since I’m not one for endless posed photos. Jess doesn’t just take stunning pictures; she takes the time to really get to know you beforehand, and that personal connection shines through in her work. Our experience with her was so wonderful, it honestly feels like we made a new friend. We can’t recommend her enough!

The quality of their work was truly exceptional - the photos they captured were comfortable, beautiful, magical, ethereal, and so clean. They asked all the right questions, from inquiring about golden hour and sunset shots to handling a multitude of family and necessary photos on the day. Most importantly, Emma, the owner, was incredible. I couldn't have planned and executed my wedding without her services and immediate attention to detail, the timeline, the photos needed, her suggestions and discussions, and the seamless edits and delivery of the final products. I highly recommend trusting this business with your event or special day - they were everything I didn't know I needed, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

When searching for a photographer, I was overwhelmed by the number of options available. Dominique didn’t make me feel pressured. She provided us with her wedding guide, which gave us insight into who she is. When we met remotely, I instantly knew she was the one. She was enthusiastic, listened attentively, and asked us questions about what is important to us leading up to the wedding and beyond. She was great to work with, and I knew what to expect. She drafted our timeline, offered recommendations, and helped us design it based on what was important to my husband and me. She curated a family shot list, and let me tell you, she did not disappoint. Her and her team were amazing.

Hey- I'm Nicole. When I'm not working with the raddest couples I'm typically brewery hopping with my wife, or home spending time with my three dogs. I live for SU basketball, and love just about any other Syracuse sports team (Crunch, Mets - count me in). I have been photographing weddings for over ten years, and in that time have had the opportunity to travel around the world and meet tons of new friends.

My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our wedding day. From start to finish we knew we were in good hands as Nicole was prepared and professional. She made sure to capture every single photo that we had listed on the helpful form she sent to us prior to our event. We just received our wedding photos the other day and we are blown away by both the quantity and quality of photos. Nicole delivered us tons of gorgeous photos that truly showcase the entire day. We have received so many compliments on them so far and we’re so excited to hang them up in our house. Nicole was so kind and fun to work with. I would definitely, definitely recommend her as your photographer!
