About Ellie Stover Photography

Ellie Stover Photography

I use photography as an exchange. An exchange of memories, thoughts, experiences, artistic expression, and time. Photography will always be some sort of a belief system in practice. It's not a business ordeal but a collaborative tool in the way that light shapes literally and figuratively every moment. I am passionate about photographing someone's soul within an experience. I have been photographing weddings since 2008.

I have a degree and career in color science so my pictures are of the real moments that are candid and I do not use fad filters. I use the natural beautiful light and use it to create real memories, not a photoshoot. I have done photography in all forms in art and science. I worked with camera engineering for 8 years but I am an artist first and foremost and I left that job in 2021 and am back to my creative endeavors.

I’ve hired Ellie multiple times to capture meaningful moments in my life, and I’ll keep going back. She’s special. Not just a great experience to work with, but the photos themselves feel rare. Unique, honest… and actually saying something. Think National Geographic, not People magazine. Do yourself a favor and hire her.

Ellie was incredibly thoughtful and asked our wishes/style/vibes in advance. Ellie was able to capture not only the big powerful moments but also the soft tender pure moments. I’m so thankful for her technique and expertise. Pictures wouldn’t have been as meaningful with any other photographer.
