Welcome! And Congratulations! I am a Wedding & Family Photographer based in Plattsburgh, NY. I grew up in Charlotte, VT where I fell in love with Lake Champlain and all the beauty that Vermont has to offer. I now live in Rouses Point, NY and continue to be drawn by Lake Champlain and its charm. When I am not behind the camera capturing the authenticity of my clients moments I am spending quality time with my husband, his two beautiful children and our two dogs. We spend our summers on Lake Champlain and our winters inside the hockey rink. My love of photography started the moment I held my first camera. I hope to share that passion with you!

My goal as your photographer is to make you comfortable enough that I am able to capture your authentic self. I will take the time to get to know you as a person and your goals for our shoot. Your photos will be unique to you and express your best self. Expect a fun session full of laughter!

Coverage generally starts with some pre-ceremony rituals for the wedding party and ends with the cake cutting at the reception. I work with each couple to develop a timeline that we ensure allows time to capture all the moments that matter most to you as a couple. I meet with you as a couple 2-3 weeks before your wedding to go over the details of your wedding questionnaire and any other planning details that have come up.

BASIC ENGAGEMENT

Peak pricing $350

Description

This shoot typically runs forty five minutes to an hour and produces a minimum of 50 edited images. You will receive a digital collection of posed and candid images that are authentic to you and your fiancé. I will have an in person or over the phone meeting with you and your fiancé before our session to get an understanding for any inspiration you have and get to know both of you a little better. My goal is to make you comfortable enough in front of the camera that you forget it’s even there!

    Wonderful Photographer !

    We had our wedding in August 2025 and picked Kyla Williamson Photography for our special day, and boy are we psyched that we did. Kyla captured the raw and real and beautiful ambience of the wedding day. Her pictures truly portrayed the emotions we felt that day.     Wedding photos

    We were very pleased with Kyla! She was so willing to adapt to our changes as the weather dictated. As an older couple , we didn’t feel the need to have every traditional shot .. we wanted candid shots of our family enjoying themselves along with our tiny ceremony. She blended into the background to accomplish just that and thought quickly on her feet to notice a break in the weather to get outdoor group shots and some of us by our boat . We were definitely too involved in the enjoyment of the day to look for those opportunities and we are so glad she was on it ! We love the photo memories she has created for us and would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering a photographer for their event!

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. You will absolutely receive sneak peeks within a few days of your wedding!
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
In the extremely rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I will work with you both to ensure that you are covered by someone equally as talented with a style you love just as much.
Please reach out to me! I listed a very minimal amount of packages on my site just to create an understanding of my price range. Lots of other options are available!
I do not currently work with a second shooter. I specialize in smaller more casual weddings as I feel that is best matched to my style.
I will work with you extensively before the day of your wedding to ensure we have created a timeline that will allow me to capture all the moments you care most about in hopes that we will not need to make adjustments day of. I am understanding of the fact that sometimes things run a little behind and schedules change and will be available for a small buffer of time due to this if sessions need to be extended.
Absolutely! I started my photography journey with film and LOVE to return to the medium for a client. My prices are a little different for film due to the added time and cost, please reach out with any inquiries!
I shoot within 10 miles of Rouses Point, NY free of a travel charge. Outside of those locations I charge a travel fee of $0.70 per mile.
