I’m Sara, a wedding and elopement photographer based in Watertown, NY. My moody, editorial photography style captures authentic, emotional moments. I serve couples across Northern New York, including the Thousand Islands and Adirondacks

I go above and beyond for all my clients. At our consultation I ask a ton of questions which helps me to get to know you and to better understand what you want me to capture on your wedding day. You also get a free engagement session when you book me as your wedding photographer.

As a New York State Certified Wedding Officiant I have had the pleasure to work with Butterfly Photography on a number of occasions and have found her to be an asset to her profession. The wedding day is always stressful for the couple but as I have seen working with this photographer has been easy and very professional. Her products are fantastic and she is always able to come up with supper ideas for special photos.

My experience with Butterfly photography is really good. Our first consultation was so informative. She really wanted to get to know us and what we like/ don't like with photos. At our wedding day she came prepared with different props for our rings and detailed shots. She had so many ideas for the family photos and she got them done very quickly. Which I was shocked because we have such a big family. Her and her assistant are amazing at what they do. I would recommend this photographer to anyone who is getting married in the Thousand Islands NY

Typically, couples book me about 12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

Yes. I have an assistant wedding photographer that comes with me to your wedding.

All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services for body modification. Example fixing double chins for an additional charge.

Yes but don't have packages for both photo and video.I prefer focusing on either photography or videography, so you can get the best wedding pictures/video as possible.

My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. So you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.

I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.

In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
