YM Photography believes in memories and moments and all the tiny unforgettable things that happen in between. We believe that some photos are just too important to trust that 20 years from now that you'll still love that filter so we go for a timeless, classic look.

We don't take every wedding we can "for the money". We believe in real relationships and part of that is amazing customer care. In our personal lives, we dance too long, laugh too much, and have more than a few great stories to tell. We're real people who want to treat you like real people. Our clients like us because we know how to tie a bow tie but love us because we know that trust is earned... and we work like h*ll to earn it.

    When my fiancée and I thought about what was important to us when choosing a photographer for our big day in Rhode Island, we were looking for someone with bright and romantic style, someone who knew how to pose/shoot plus size bodies, and more importantly someone who was engaged with my partner and I in the planning process. We found all of that and more in Yesenia. From the jump, Yesenia knew exactly what we were looking for. As a plus size bride it was important to me that our photographer show that they understand how to pose/shoot larger bodies. Yesenia sent me a message and directed me to several examples in her portfolio and calmed all of my insecurities. She also asked really thoughtful questions and gave us lots of tips throughout the planning process. Seriously- her guidance/organization was more helpful than a lot of the “how to” guides out there. We did a mini engagement session and wedding photography with Yesenia, and in each of those moments I appreciated her clear direction/guidance as she helped us get so many beautiful shots. Her strong communication also extended to all of the vendors we had hired for our special day. By putting your trust in her she can truly create magic. Yesenia was also very transparent about how/when to expect follow up to both communications and when galleries were expected to be delivered. While you can’t always control timelines, we were fortunate to get all of our photos on time or ahead of schedule. I can’t stress enough how wonderful she was to work with. Everything about our experience was above and beyond all expectations. Her care and love for her clients radiates in her work. If we ever need a photographer in the future, we know who we’ll be reaching out to.

    YM Photography is everything we wanted in our wedding photographer and SO much more! Yesenia is way more than an amazing photographer. She is the calm in the storm, even when it rained on our wedding day. She was the one out in the rain, with her assistant, taking the most magical photos we could have ever asked for, and making us feel beautiful and special. She gave the advice I needed (as a type A planner needing some assistance), even in other wedding areas besides photography. She made us feel like rockstars and at times, models haha, but also natural at the same time. When she photographed our engagement session, we knew she was the best choice for us and for any future bride, groom, expecting mother, family, etc. My now husband and I normally feel nervous being photographed, but she calmed our anxieties around the camera, and allowed us to have so much fun both at our engagement session and on our wedding day! The genuine, happy, natural moments that she and her team capture are unlike anything we have ever seen. Our wedding was this past June 17th, but we wanted to get out a fantastic review for YM Photography because we would choose them over and over again (and we will in the future).
