About Emily Martens
Emily Martens
Emily is a Hudson Valley based couples & wedding photographer. Her philosophy in photography is that a genuine connection with the couples she works with are the key to intimate, emotional photographs. She’s drawn to capturing honest images; pictures that aren’t just pretty but tell real stories about real couples.
She shies away from the traditional style of wedding photography that is so often forced and lacking natural emotion. Instead, she creates a space for true connection so she can document those spontaneous reactions; your playfulness, joy, intimacy and everything in-between.

Picture-Perfect
People will probably think, "you went with the first photographer you spoke to?" But the truth is that what originally spoke to us was that the pictures Emily showcased of other couples radiated with love. A picture is worth a thousand words, and with Emily's photos we truly believe that. Our engagement session was stress-free and Emily ensured it was not awkward at all. After our experience with the engagement session and receiving the beautiful photos, we are beyond excited and know we are in good hands for our wedding.

Emily was perfect!

The best
Emily shot our wedding reception in August for 2025. She was seriously a dream to work it. So efficient and easy. We had two phone calls before our day to set the timeline up and figure out what our priorities for that day were. On the day she scoped out where to shoot the photos and then executed everything seamlessly. Even our bridal party spoke about how good she was. We had changed a few things last minute and Emily was so great with accommodating us.
