Hi there, I'm Nel. I started Nelstudios because I truly love telling stories through photos. My 15-year career has been dedicated to the visual and storytelling field, and I'm a former graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in NYC, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Photography. Currently, I'm working toward getting my master's from Marist University. I want to give you photos & videos that feel like you, that bring you right back to that day and all the beautiful feelings that came with it. That’s why wedding photography feels so right. I'm not here to create a story, I'm here to document yours.

    I spent so much time researching engagement photographers for our save the dates and wedding website, and Nelson immediately stood out. His portfolio is filled with couples who looked genuinely happy, never stiff or overly posed, which was exactly the vibe I wanted. He was so kind and easy to communicate with, even hopping on a call to help us plan everything. Finding a time and location was seamless. When we got our photos back, I was obsessed — they look like joyful, candid moments rather than staged shots. I truly couldn’t recommend Nelson enough. His work is incredible, and his pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to others.

    My husband and I booked Nelstudios for both our engagement photos and our wedding. Nelson was an absolute pleasure to work with! He was knowledgeable and personable. He was more than happy to hear our wishes on specific poses, and he even captured a perfect photo with our fur-babies! Nelson did a wonderful job working around hectic hotel rooms to ensure we received memorable photos from our special day. He also presents with a calm and kind demeanor that truly helps an anxious bride on her wedding day! We received our sneak peek photo’s within just a few days after our wedding and they exceeded our expectations. We will cherish these pictures for the rest of our lives.

    Nelson and his team photographed our May wedding in Plattekill, NY and the experience was absolutely extraordinary! They were professional while also personable making the experience very relaxed and natural. Prior to the big day, Nelson was very communicative and helped design a schedule meeting my interests of different shots and perfected the timing. On the day of, Nelson and his team eased right in without a hitch bouncing from one location to the next and corralling us and family seamlessly while staying on time. There wasn't a single moment of concern or stress during photos! Now to gush about the product!! Nelson and his team caught the most PERFECT moments. My husband and I expressed early on that we preferred candid or organic shots and not so much the typical couple poses. And I must say, Nelson got it right! It brought us right back to the day when we were looking through the huge inventory of shots. Brought tears of joy and gratitude. Lets not forget the video!! My GOD!! It was truly an emotionally provoking video and definitely a fan favorite with family. To Nelson and his team, Dave and I couldn't be happier with all your hard work. We will cherish the moments you captured for a lifetime!
