As a control freak, letting go of all the little details on the day of was so hard to do, but I put our trust in her and she did not disappoint! We had an initial call when I was inquiring (over a year ahead of the wedding), then we had a venue walkthrough close to the wedding date where she took notes and asked questions, had a final call just before to go over any final details, and took my decor photos/notes to ease my mind on how I wanted things to look. The day of, she handled everything and didn’t need me for a thing - coordinated the vendors, set up the decor, and was our main point of contact for everything, broke down everything at the end. We also rented a few items from her that had to be hauled down to the venue. Everything was perfect. I cried when I saw my vision come to life. “Renee is THE wedding planner - look no further!! From the jump, she took us under her wing and answered any and all questions we had, was extremely attentive, and made us feel comfortable and prepared. “Tara and her team are nothing short of incredible. We approached her in the fall with the crazy idea to throw a music festival wedding at the end of June at a riverside park- where we needed her to coordinate 3 bands AND bring in everything from restroom trailers to a food truck to mobile bartending. Not only did she rise to the challenge, but the day was more perfect than we could have ever imagined. She had a plan (and back-up plan!) for everything, and she coordinated with no less than 15 vendors to make sure that we didn’t have to worry about a thing during the wedding. She had a ton of local vendor suggestions, as well, for everything from flowers to misting fans. On top of that, she is a truly lovely human who was a JOY to work with. Many wedding guests even commented to me on how wonderful she is! If you are looking for the perfect balance of love and logistics- you will be thrilled with Engaged Event Management!”

“Maddy and Cass were always happy, fun and genuinely interested in not just the wedding, but our family and our happiness! They could not have been more dependable, utterly trustworthy, organized, always accessible, and showed great judgement! One example of how they went above and beyond was we had a decorative seating chart on a 69”X78” 20 paned glass window that they protected, transported and stored for us at their inconvenience. Furthermore, during the wedding reception not only did they make sure everything was perfect as we planned, but on the fly they used great judgement to make the reception better by tweaking the arrangement. As well, we had no worries once the wedding was over because we knew we could trust them to secure anything of value and what we owned, as well as what any vendor might of left behind. Even so far as to hold our possessions in their home until it was convenient for us to get them. We loved Maddy and Cass and highly recommend them as your wedding planners.”

“Hiring Johanna (and the whole JLM team) for our wedding was the second best choice I've ever made - only to be beat out by the decision to marry my husband! Johanna and her team were absolute rockstars from over a year out until the very last moment. If you are thinking of hiring her, just do it. It was the biggest help to have someone to guide us and tell us all of the things we needed to do and when we needed to do them. She was extremely thorough and made our wedding day seamless. So seamless, in fact, that we barely saw her on the actual day because she was so busy making everything come together. This was a huge help to us as she made sure we just floated through our special day. Johanna was present and ready to give helpful tips or feedback to every question we had.
