“Abigail was INCREDIBLE. I think of the entire wedding, hiring her was the best decision my (now) husband and I made. Neither of us had ever been to a wedding - and she explained/assisted with what decisions needed to be made, what we may have forgotten, and provided recommendations based on her experience. There were a few meetings prior to the day of the wedding, and I’ll be honest, I forgot to put 2 of them in my calendar. She didn’t treat me differently, and she was quite understanding and flexible - which meant a lot. She helped make my day the perfect day. I namely wanted a day-of coordinator to take the pressure off myself as well as my mom - and she did just that. She encouraged my mom to enjoy the day, she kept all logistical stuff out of my hands on the day. My mom told me after the fact that there was an issue with the table numbers, and Abigail was already working on a backup plan while they were still looking for the table numbers. It ended up working out - but I didn’t know anything about it till after. Her and her sister, Bree, provided a sense of calm and collected on the wedding day and stayed throughout the entire wedding. Abigail was there the night before at our rehearsal - and truly helped make it super smooth. Her and Bree were there as soon as the venue opened and left after they loaded all the decor in the car. Our card box was in our room, and the room was more made up than previously. It was magical. They truly were above and beyond. “Emily was amazing! We worked with her for planning, starting from about 15 months before the wedding date, as well as day-of coordinating, and she was an incredible help time after time. Whenever we were stuck trying to figure out vendors or even basic things like the color scheme, Emily was able to help us make progress and stayed really kind and patient throughout, even with what were probably fairly dumb questions at least some of the time. (After all, I don't think either of us ever planned a party for more than a dozen people at a time, so it was invaluable to have help from someone so experienced as Emily!) Emily was great at keeping track of timelines and helped focus us on which decisions needed to be made sooner and what we could leave for later. When we decided to add a tea ceremony as part of the wedding, Emily didn't bat an eye and was so helpful with getting those extra details sorted. There can be so many times while planning a wedding where it’s hard to know how to even approach an important decision, including just communicating w/ guests & family and her expertise, advice, and care kept us from getting stuck more times than we can count! Even though you would expect an event planner to be very rigid in saying how things should go, Emily is not robotic at all and we loved how spontaneous and open to brainstorming different options she always was! She went to countless vendor meeting and kept track of all of my overly detailed instructions to make sure each piece of our day (timeline, vendor contracts, etc) worked with those details. “We had the absolute pleasure of working with Michelle (Bustle & Lace) as our wedding coordinator at Sarabande Chicago, and I can't imagine our day without her support. Our wedding was a bit complex, it included a Hindu ceremony in the morning, followed by a break, then a traditional American-style cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Michelle handled every piece with grace and precision. Having had an Indian-fusion wedding herself, she was especially knowledgeable about many of the cultural details involved, which made us feel even more confident and understood throughout the process. One of the things that drew us to her was her unique coordination model, where we met with her every few months for a year leading up to the wedding. My husband and I knew that we wanted to stay very involved in the decision-making that went into wedding planning, and her package was the perfect fit for that. Even though we did a lot ourselves, Michelle’s expertise, thoughtful feedback, and vendor connections made the entire process feel guided and manageable. We actually enjoyed wedding planning more than we expected—largely because of her insight and support. The quality of her work and the value she provided was simply incredible - she is so creative and truly made our wedding day absolutely perfect. “April was FANTASTIC!! I was unsure whether or not I wanted a coordinator- I had a hard time “giving up” control of my big day. When I first spoke with April- I knew that she was THE ONE! Kind, patient, understanding, and also a little bit of a perfectionist. ;) I hired April as “Day of Coordinator” only. April took everything I gave her on my wedding day and ran with it. She took my planning binder and I said “Good Luck!” She made it all happen! She quickly and effortlessly made my dream wedding perfect. She helped with decor, setting up, getting my dress on, helping me use the bathroom, putting my shoes on… anything you could think of!! And the professionalism and kindness was next level! A few days/weeks later, my bridesmaids told me about little fires that April put out that I had no idea about- problems with the DJ, the groomsmen trying to get drunk before walking down the aisle (April stopped them), and our Happily Ever After sign that kept falling. She handled all of this without me even knowing! The best decision I made (besides who to marry) on the day of my wedding was hiring April!! You won’t regret it!!”
