The Perfect Planner!
Our wedding was almost two weeks ago and I have nothing but love for and positive things to say about Kristen! I am so so grateful that I stumbled upon her here on Zola because without her I would have forgotten so many little details and been incredibly overwhelmed. Kristen made our planning and the day of the wedding so easy and wonderful; legitimately stress-free. Kristen is so kind, caring, communicative, and just overall great at what she does. Throughout planning, she kept in close contact with me and other vendors - everyone was always in the loop and knew exactly what was going on at all times. I had a bit of a decor dilemma and she was super patient with me while I kept going back and forth on my final decision, which I really appreciated. Over this whole process I felt like I had a wonderful supportive friend in my corner, not just a hired planner. I could give a million more examples of how she's been so great, but honestly all I can really say is this: please, if you are looking for a planner that is completely there for you and cares about you and your vision, Kristen is your person! She is willing to work with you in so many different ways and can tailor to what you need/want out of planning. I 100% recommend Amethyst x Emerald and I really couldn't imagine having anyone else there to help us leading up to and on our day!

Kristen (owner) has been in the hospitality and wedding industry her whole life! With almost 20 years of experience, including being the Director of Operations for 4 wedding venues, she has seen it all! Her strengths lie in staying calm in the moment, strong communication and organization with planning, and still having fun and a smile on her face the whole day!

We have a beautiful growing team of strong and capable women! Our owner Kristen stays involved in planning and wearing all the hats. Meanwhile, MaryAnn is our second lead planner and keeps everyone on track. Sara and Breece run many events together or solo during the season. Additionally, we have a large team of assistants, creatives, and helpers who work each event and assist with decor and social media. We are grateful for our whole team and excited to continue growing!

Yes! We often plan full weekends that involve rehearsal dinners and post-wedding brunches. We are also always open to other types of event planning and have a strong background in corporate events.

As much as we can get! :) That honestly depends on the package you book... but typically we spend about 30 hours minimum planning with each client, and upwards to 150 hours over the course of 2 years with some full planning clients.

There are a few weekends during the peak of Michigan wedding season (usually June and September), where our team is in multiple locations over the same weekend. Thankfully we have a strong team with many helpers that allow us to be in multiple places at once and fully present at each event!

Heck freaking yes we do! We love queer weddings and try to exclusively work with inclusive vendors. You are in a safe space with us and our team and we want nothing but the absolute best experience for you, your partner, your family, your friends, guests, vendors... everyone present! All types of love are welcome with us.
