I spent my teenage years drawing cartoons and Japanase manga. I discovered my love for photography during my late teenage years when I got my hands on my first cellphone with a camera. I was always the go to picture person during family events and gatherings. Though they were admittedly average at the time, everyone loved them and always encouraged me to get a real camera. Valerie Caviness, NYC native is one of the most diverse photographers with a career spanning over the last 20 years. Valerie started out in editorial photography and branched out to events, commercial and architectural photography. In 2010 she took a position as the head photographer at the NYSE. Her position covered many areas of photography including, photojournalism, events, marketing, and portraiture. In 2017 Valerie branched out on her own to continue working with clients, focusing on corporate events and marketing. In 2020, she shifted her business to Weddings .
