From my first moment as a wedding photographer, I knew I wanted to kick tradition to the curb. I was tried of seeing wedding photography that excluded the communities that I hold closest. I work hard to form a real connection with each of my clients to craft an experience that captures their unique spirit.

I prioritize personal connection. I meet with all of my clients in person at least 2 times (once for elopements within a short timeframe). I want to get to know you so that I can capture your day in the most authentic way.

I can’t say enough kind words about Ashley at Unabridged Photography. Our wedding day was documented so beautifully and captured so well. I really wanted someone to capture more in the moment documentary style and she delivered. Ashley was so helpful along the planning process and the communication leading up to and during the day was unmatched. The pictures from our wedding day will be cherished forever, they are incredible! I would rebook Ashley in a heartbeat!

Ashley was truly one of the highlights of our wedding. She was warm, clear, creative, and so generous with her time and artistry. She helped facilitate a beautiful elopement and photo shoot, and really brought a vision to life that was beyond our expectations. She went above and beyond and captured our Friday night welcome drinks, and made sure to stay until the end for really specific shots with the setting sun. During our ceremony and reception, Ashley took such gorgeous shots and was so unobtrusive that we barely noticed her in the moment. The tone, the colors, the lighting- all of the creative choices she made were stunning. We keep looking at our photos and are so grateful to her. 10/10 would recommend.

Ashley is incredible! She was kind, informative, professional, and flexible. Ashley brought calm and positive vibes to our engagement shoot and wedding day photos. She made us feel so comfortable and supported! So many of our guests complimented us on how wonderful our she was, both as a photographer and person :) we absolutely love all of our photos!! I found Unabridged Photography while looking for documentary/photojournalistic style photographers for our Chicago wedding. As soon as we talked to Ashley, we looked no further. Throughout the entire process they were collaborative and communicative. Our engagement shoot felt like meeting up with a friend. We were able to blend more editorial portraits with a candid depiction of our day. Ashley never makes you feel like any shot or maneuver is hard even as they are running behind you with four cameras strapped to their body- and you appreciate having every format. The result of that effort was an array of photos, both glamorous and understated, like nothing I've never seen, and something I could have pulled from my parents' wedding album. Not only an incredibly talented photographer, Ashley had great suggestions for shooting locations and is knowledgeable of what the city has to offer (and even suggested the bar where we hosted our Welcome Drinks!!). We opted out of having video at our wedding for several reasons, so the stakes for the photography were pretty high. Ashley's images made our wedding with nearly 200 guests feel intimate and look like a rager. You spend a lot of your wedding day with your photographer regardless of how posed your day is, and you can only hope that they are as warm, chill, and likeable as Ashley.
