Kim calls herself an honorary bridesmaid but she is so much more. She is a florist, a seamstress, a miracle worker and a friend to everyone she meets. I had a vision for my wedding day and Kim executed it flawlessly. She not only made the day run smoothly, but set up all of my favors, stationery and even the bud vases she made exactly how I pictured it! We had some fashion emergencies and Kim literally saved the day by sowing on straps to make a dress that wouldn’t zip finally close. I cannot rave about Kim enough!! We got endless compliments about our day and it would have been impossible without her. Kim is worth every single penny and then some.

I found Alexa on the Knot and booked her for Monarch’s full wedding planning package as my husband & I were planning a wedding outside of Chicago in an unconventional venue, 9 months away, and lived in another state. It was a big challenge but from the initial consultation, we loved Alexa’s energy, organization, commitment and just knew we could trust her with our once in a lifetime event. The planning process was extremely organized, thorough and well-paced. She matched my attention to detail, tackled unplanned challenges with ferocity (which included a limited selection of vendors given the location of our venue) and was as dedicated to bringing my very specific vision to life as I was. She brought great vendor recommendations and connections and did countless hours of research on new vendors. Details were well-documented and thoroughly discussed to ensure all parties were aligned. Even though our venue was farther outside Chicago (Indiana), she ran several venue walkthroughs in-person, attended vendor visits with me, and always accommodated my husband and I’s busy schedule. As Alexa started to step away for her maternity leave (which started right before our wedding date), she did an amazing job ensuring her team was fully prepared to handle last minute preparations and day-of responsibilities. The day-of team of 3 were awesome with completely handling all details A-Z so I didn’t have to worry about anything, even despite some last minute changes due to weather! Due to the complexity of our venue, its location, short timeline, and being from out-of-state, we are SO GLAD we booked Monarch for their full planning package and had the privilege of working with Alexa! It was sincerely our pleasure to have her bring our special day to life, she was a joy to work with and get to know. If I were getting married again, I’d book her services again no question! I reached out to so many planners/coordinators for my wedding and so many were either slow to respond or did not respond at all. Chelsea was prompt and excited to help, despite my wedding being quite the undertaking. I did my own (faux) flowers, which meant on top of regular day-of duties, she was putting up full floral arrangements, lighting hundreds of candles, and putting together tons of other small details and finishing touches. I can't emphasize this enough - our day would not have come together in the way that it did without her. She was on top of everything and truly made my vision come to life. She was helpful in dealing with other vendors as well, and did everything with a smile on her face. When I came to her days before my wedding with a crazy new surprise, she was down to help. Where do we begin? From the moment Camille offered her expertise to us, we knew we would be all good on our wedding day. Her vast experience in the event planning and coordinating space — she has worked as a caterer, day-of coordinator, full blown event planner — was evident from the first time meeting. Camille's attention to detail is a credit to her organization skills and depth of knowledge related to event and wedding planning. We did most of our planning ahead of time and brought Camille in to be our day-of coordinator. About two months before our wedding, we met with Camille and shared as many of our wedding details we had available and within a day, Camille had created an extremely detailed timeline for the entire weekend. Any element of the timeline that she did not have yet was highlighted red so we could figure out what information we needed to provide. She regularly would check in with us to make sure we were working to get those missing elements, and actually took over responsibility gathering some of it for us. Her knowledge of event planning helped us plan out when to schedule our entrance, first dance, dinner service for a wedding of 275, and speech timing to ensure we got out on the dance floor with plenty of time to dance. She connected all of our vendors and sent regular updates to them to make sure everyone was on the same page. As our day-of wedding coordinator, Camille was present at our rehearsal the night before. When it was time to really get going, Camille took charge and commanded the rehearsal with confidence. She walked me and my husband through her rehearsal process, got us set to practice, took notes for the day, and just made us feel certain that everything was going to work out. On the day of the wedding, our first look was at noon. When rain entered the forecast for the day, Camille quickly located an alternative first look location and communicated the change of plans with our photographer and wedding party, who got us where we needed to be. When we arrived at the wedding & reception venue around 2 p.m., we anticipated needing to help finish setting up the space. Camille, with a small team of our family and friends, got the entire space set and ready before we arrived. That let us relax and enjoy some time with our bridal party before the ceremony began. Camille is real, honest, and will tell you the truth when you need to hear it. She listens to what you're wanting and hoping for on your wedding day, and does everything she can to make that vision happen. She sees and thinks details about the day that wouldn't cross most people's minds. I would recommend Camille and Cherry on Top Creative Planning to anyone who wants to feel certain that their wedding day will feel perfect. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Michelle (Bustle & Lace) as our wedding coordinator at Sarabande Chicago, and I can't imagine our day without her support. Our wedding was a bit complex, it included a Hindu ceremony in the morning, followed by a break, then a traditional American-style cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Michelle handled every piece with grace and precision. Having had an Indian-fusion wedding herself, she was especially knowledgeable about many of the cultural details involved, which made us feel even more confident and understood throughout the process. One of the things that drew us to her was her unique coordination model, where we met with her every few months for a year leading up to the wedding. My husband and I knew that we wanted to stay very involved in the decision-making that went into wedding planning, and her package was the perfect fit for that. Even though we did a lot ourselves, Michelle’s expertise, thoughtful feedback, and vendor connections made the entire process feel guided and manageable. We actually enjoyed wedding planning more than we expected—largely because of her insight and support. On the wedding day itself, Michelle was a calm, steady, behind-the-scenes presence. If anything went wrong, we never knew—she handled it all. She checked in with us the perfect amount to make sure we were eating, feeling good, and truly enjoying ourselves. Rachelle was an amazing asset to helping me plan and execute my wedding. Leading up to the big day she communicated expectations with me as well as communicated with other vendors and made sure everyone knew what was happening. We used her day of timeline service as well and it was very helpful to see an exact schedule of when everything would happen. The day of was absolutely amazing! As some minor issues came up (to no fault of Rachelle) she handled them with ease and I did not even know anything was wrong since she took care of things so quickly. As an Entertainment Director/Event Manager myself, I’m blown away by Franklin. It was important for me to hire someone I could trust to handle the organization for my wedding day. After our first meeting with Franklin, I knew he understood what we wanted. I was thrilled to know he was available for our wedding, and I feel like we couldn’t have made a better choice. Before the wedding day, I was so relieved when Franklin came over to pick up all the decor. He even stopped by on the morning of the wedding to check on us and pick up any last-minute items. This alone really touched me because many people don’t go that extra mile, but Franklin does! I was seriously stressing about how to get those items delivered, and Franklin came right along and eased all that stress! He took our ideas and exceeded our expectations. We are Funko Pop collectors, so we wanted a fun way to incorporate them into our wedding decor, and he did it with ease. He surprised us several times throughout the event, and those memories are some of my favorite moments. When he revealed the reception dining room, which he had decorated for us, I was filled with chills. I couldn’t believe he took my simple idea and made it look so GRAND; it was next level. Then we walked over to the cookie and cake table, where I was seriously at a loss for words. I was blown away by the details he displayed in his decorating. It seemed like a scene from a movie. Before walking down the aisle, we learned that one of our food caterers was extremely late delivering the food and potentially wasn’t going to deliver it at all. Franklin was calm but still urgent in his demeanor, and I totally appreciated his proactive professionalism. Moments like these can really test any event coordinator's patience and could cause a domino effect. I don’t know exactly what happened or what he did, but all the food was there and ready to be served when it was time to eat. Our guests LOVED our wedding. They all mentioned how different and elevated our wedding was, and I’m 100% sure that had a lot to do with Franklin’s hard work. We wanted something unique, and he delivered. Overall, I’m truly grateful to have met Franklin and want to also shine some light on his assistant, Will. Both of their A, fun, efficacious attitudes just make everything better. I was able to kick back and watch my wedding day unfold beautifully. For those who work in events/entertainment, you know how hard it is to go to any event and not feel like you’re working, especially your own event (lol). Franklin is a star, and I’m sure he’s going to go far in the event business. He understands the importance of an event and how each event is personally unique. Most importantly, he takes the time to know and understand his clients.
