“Sound River Studios was the perfect venue for our May 2024 wedding! We had not initially considered a raw space for our wedding reception. However, after meeting with Una and discussing the seemingly infinite possibilities for the space (along with soaking in the spectacular views of NYC), we were completely sold on the venue. We are so glad we made the choice to celebrate our wedding at Sound River Studios! We took advantage of the dock at the venue and had our guests arrive to cocktail hour by boat which was a unique highlight. The dock is also a beautiful spot for photos! “You generally only get one wedding, which means going into the day without knowing about a lot of the tiny details that go into making a wedding run smoothly. You do the research, you read the blogs, you study your friends' weddings and get tons of advice, but still you don't know what it's really like. The staff at Deity do--they do this every day. I could write about how great the space is, how much fun everyone had, and how reasonable the price was, and I'll get to all of that, but I want to emphasize what the pictures can't. Our wedding day ran smoothly and comfortably for us and our guests, and it's due to the staff at Deity. They anticipated our needs, gave us lots of helpful advice in both the planning stages and the day of, and went above and beyond to make sure we had the wedding we wanted. Anna, the coordinator, answered my endless emails and asked even more questions that hadn't occurred to me, and on the day of she handled everything so seamlessly I actually got to enjoy myself; Caio, the owner, gave our officiant (my brother) tips about when to move the mic for the smoothest possible ceremony, and made sure my train looked perfect right when I first stepped out into the aisle; and none of the staff batted an eye when I came down an hour before the guests were arriving to say I needed help hiding clues for a scavenger hunt that I had not told them I was planning. They made sure my husband and I got something to eat and a quiet moment to ourselves, they helped us load an Uber at almost midnight on a Sunday with all the stuff we'd brought. They made the whole day feel seamless and fun, and I cannot thank them enough. Also, so many of my guests made a point to tell me how good the food was. I'll admit, I was a little nervous about committing to the in-house catering without a tasting (we were lucky enough to get a sample from Chef James on our initial tour), but my fears were entirely unfounded. The passed appetizers were genuinely amazing, and the food served at the family-style dinner was tasty and actually hot, which I feel like is rare amongst weddings I've been to. They also were very helpful in accommodating our guests with dietary restrictions, including coordinating an order from a restaurant for a celiac guest, whom their kitchen wasn't equipped to serve. The bar was also great, helped us come up with custom cocktails, and there was cocktail service everywhere, including on the dance floor. When I factored in the food and drink to the total cost we paid for Deity, it's also a really good deal, compared to other local catering options! I won't say too much about the space because you can see it in the pictures and judge the vibe for yourself on a tour. But I will say that having different spaces for the different parts of the event was great, and having the suite for getting ready (and for retreating to when we needed a moment) was a godsend--not to mention wonderful for our photos! Sunset skyine photos without leaving the venue? Don't mind if I do! The location was great for both our in town guests, and those staying at nearby hotels. If you like the look of Deity, don't hesitate. I hope your wedding there turns out just as wonderful as ours!”

“Where to even begin! First off, my wife and I had a fairly large wedding for NYC, roughly 200 people, so when we started to look at venues, we were so nervous about what we would find. Rule of Thids was actually the first venue we saw, and we were blown away by the space. If you’re renting out the full venue, you get access to the entire restaurant, plus the event space, as well as the outdoor area. It makes the flow of the wedding so nice, so everyone wasn’t crammed into one space as they were trying to flip it for the ceremony, dinner, and dancing. We were also able to rent out the photo studio attached to the sake shop to get ready in, so we were on-site all day, which was AMAZING. We could easily discuss things with our day-of coordinator, florist, etc., and the space was so large and had impeccable light (our makeup artist and hair stylist were super happy with it!). We chose to use the venue coordinator, Julie, as our day of coordinator, and we cannot say enough good things about her. She was incredibly responsive, super organized, and comes from the wedding industry, so she brought up things that we didn’t even think to consider for the day of that were so helpful. Beyond that, she was so pleasant to work with and just had an amazing, chill vibe that everyone wants from their coordinator on the wedding day. It was also amazing that she works at the venue, so she knew all the ins and outs of the space and could easily coordinate with our other vendors. She helped ensure the bridal party was in the right places at the right time, moved people from room to room when needed, and helped us stay on track with the flow of the wedding, which was perfect and so seamless. She and the ROT team set up the entire space exactly as we envisioned, and everything looked beautiful! The venue is honestly perfect for a wedding. We were able to use private dining spaces in the venue for a photobooth and coat closet, plenty of bathrooms (not something you think about until you go to a wedding with too few!), an amazing outdoor space for guests to cool down/get away from the noise, a huge dance floor area, spacious dining room, and so many bars for our guests to go to. The staff were all amazing, endlessly refilling drinks and food, and everyone was incredibly nice. Even after all of the amazing things above, the best part about Rule of Thirds is the food. From the cocktail hour to the dessert, this food is amazing and well beyond typical wedding standards. We had so many guests tell us how good everything was, and we were told this was the first wedding at the venue where every single canape and raw bar item was eaten, so our guests were very happy! (if you can, splurge on the raw bar because it was so good!!) After the ceremony, they set up a spot for us to sample all the canapes and raw bar items, which we were super thankful for since we would never have eaten anything otherwise. We also had a very specific request for a mazeman noodle dish we had eaten when we toured the space a year prior, and the chef and team made it happen for us, which was AMAZING and so incredibly delicious. If you’re looking for a wedding venue and considering Rule of Thirds, DO IT! We wish we could relive the day all over again because it was so amazing, and we will forever be hoping someone else we know gets married here so we can experience something similar again.”

“Farm to People ("FtP") made our wedding feel as effortless as it possibly could have been! My wife and I got engaged in Jan. 2025, found and chose FtP as our venue in April (after seeing and declining several other venues), and got married in October. We had originally planned to get married in Spring 2026, but felt confident working with FtP we could do something sooner (i.e., "only" a six month turnaround). From our first tour of the venue, Rachel and the team were kind, competent, and flexible. We were in regular communication with Rachel in the months leading up to the wedding and worked closely with her in choosing layouts for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception, as well as drinks, food, and various other details. We felt throughout that Rachel and the team wanted to work to make things reflect us and accommodate our preferences. The space itself is beautiful. We had our outdoor ceremony with around 125 guests (weather contingency was reassuring – we got to have our outdoor ceremony, but the indoor spaces are also gorgeous if needed) before moving into the front room for cocktail hour in the front area. Dinner was in the back room across 19 tables, perfectly lit and cozy without feeling crowded. FtP did our florals aside from our chuppah, which were reasonably priced and beautiful. Because Farm to People provided both our drinks / open bar and food, our wedding process was meaningfully simplified. Our tasting for both food and drinks also confirmed that **everything** was delicious, which let us breathe easy knowing we couldn't go wrong with our choices. The food on the day of was indeed incredible. Passed appetizers and our family style dinner were both out of this world, and guests still are bringing up dishes to us more than a month later. For us, choosing family style, rather than buffet or individual platings, felt communal and really enhanced the experience. The bartenders were fantastic and were open to making custom drinks, plus there was never a line (good staffing ratios workflow!). Sound quality in the venue was excellent – our DJs, Non-Traditional Wedding DJs (shout out), seemed very comfortable working at and with FtP. Similarly, FtP worked seamlessly with all our outside vendors, which took a lot of stress off our plate and helped minimize us having to intermediate conversations. Timing was flexible for setup, ceremony, and breakdown, which made coordinating vendors and decor simple. At the event, Rachel and the staff were attentive and responsive all night. Just in case anyone's wondering, restrooms were clean, accessible, and never had lines. Pricing always felt clear and fair, with no hidden costs, and we feel we got amazing value for our money considering the delicious and memorable food, drinks, space... Everything was great. I'm only hopeful that friends of ours will get married there so we can experience it again! Everything came together perfectly: beautiful food, thoughtful staff, and a space that felt both lively and intimate. Our experience felt personal throughout, and was far from the "wedding factory" vibe some venues give off. It’s really hard to imagine a smoother, more memorable wedding day. Highly recommend!”

“We have nothing but positive things to say about our wedding at the Lippincott! Owners Marty and Tricia are a wonderful couple who are so easy to work with. It is clear that they do this because they are genuinely passionate about it and enjoy it. They were very attentive and clear about everything which made the planning a breeze and put us both at ease. Any requests or questions we had were met and answered with no problems. They run this venue like a well oiled machine. The day went so smoothly, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Tricia made sure we ate and were enjoying ourselves throughout the whole day. Many of our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. Not only did they compliment the food, but our guests really loved the venue. The Lippincott is so beautifully decorated and the grounds are gorgeous. We really only had to provide our floral centerpieces and whatever extra decorations we wanted. They provided the tablecloths, runners, napkins, and lots of decorations. Best of all this venue is so affordable. “The venue itself was perfect for our big day. It’s a rustic raw space, but the wood and brick finishes make it warm and inviting. I docked a star because they tried to pull one over on us. When we first booked, they sent a brochure that clearly stated the venue included chiavari chairs, however, when we checked in to confirm the furniture inventory, we were told they never had chiavari chairs and I must be mistaken. “We are so grateful to Church of the Ascension for allowing us to have our wedding ceremony and our reception. When we first saw the place, we fell in love. The space is absolutely beautiful with many amenities. Our goal was to have an intimate wedding with a luncheon to follow and everything turned out perfect. Our family was star struck over the beauty of the church itself and we couldn’t have picked a better place. There is so much potential in this space in terms of decoration (in which minimal is required). The church itself does have things available if you need them such as chairs, tables and some decorative glasses. We used the chairs available at the venue to maintain the aesthetic and they even provided some glasses when a few of ours broke! Overall this experience was a 10/10 and I would choose church of ascension again and again if I had a choice. “Our guests were enchanted by the skyline views and the delicious bites and drinks. Everyone was very impressed by the turnover from ceremony space to reception. It was incredibly quick and smooth. The team was a well oiled machine, They handled every transition and any small hiccup with precision and grace. The personal attention given to the couple throughout the reception was greatly appreciated. The attention to detail day of was a wonderful contrast to their more hands-off approach to the pre-planning. We had about 120 people at our wedding which I would not recommend going too far over for this venue. We rented the suite and it was perfect for group getting ready before. “We booked the standard package for a friend who wanted a meaningful ceremony without spending a ton, and this worked out perfectly. The space was set up beautifully and didn’t feel “budget” at all. We had around 30 guests and it still felt intimate and comfortable. We already had their marriage license but wanted a real ceremony, and the officiant made it feel personal and genuine. “We could not be more happy with how our wedding turned out at Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club. There are so many things that make this venue special. The service, the scenery, the food, and the run of show were all spectacular. The service. We received attentive and detailed service throughout the entire planning process. The director of events, Bob, answered all of our emails promptly and with detail. He is a wonderful man who goes above and beyond to make sure that we were thoroughly satisfied and feeling well taken care of. Bob was so fantastic at helping us come up with solutions to challenges that emerged at different stages of the planning process, and we couldn’t have pulled off the party we wanted without his patience, thoughtfulness, and support. On the day of, we were made to feel so special by all the staff at MBYC. We were given a personal “bridal attendant” who followed us around all day and attended to any needs we had that came up- like holding my bouquet during photos, getting us fresh drinks, grabbing some items from the bridal suite. All of our guests were telling us how impressed they were by the level of service and consideration they received from all the staff. Everyone was kind, professional, and in great spirits. The scenery. The venue space at MB&YC is truly RIGHT on the water! It is so incredibly gorgeous. The cocktail hour is on a beautiful deck over the water. The reception is in a ballroom with giant windows facing the water. The space does not need much more decoration to feel special. It is elegant and special, yet practical, home-y, and not at all stuffy. The food. We were so impressed by the food. Typically wedding food is basic and mass produced, but every dish at MB&YC felt special. We had so many friends after the wedding recounting their favorite bites throughout the night. The mac and cheese bites as well as the New York Strip Steak were definitely crowd pleasers. Not only was the food plentiful, but it was all also incredibly tasty. Bob and his staff also made sure to take care of our guests with dietary restrictions. Everyone ate well at our wedding. The run of show. Bob and his team were working very hard the evening of our wedding to ensure the schedule was kept and everything went as planned. Leading up to the event, Bob heard all of our concerns and desires, and he was able to execute a fabulous event the evening of our wedding. I was never once concerned that something was missing or forgotten, I trusted Bob and I knew he was going to make sure we had a perfect night. Overall, definitely book your wedding here at MB&YC! “Absolutely stunning venue! We had our September 2025 wedding at The W Loft, and it was a total hit. The view speaks for itself, so much so that you don't even need to worry about extravagant decor because of it. There are also so many gorgeous spots nearby to take photos, like the parks near the water, as well as hotels to stay at. “We had a fantastic experience with Ravel. Everyone was exceptionally communicative and accommodating throughout the process and on the day of, especially our coordinator Eman. She stood out as a queen of logistics and made me feel like the planning process was always under control. The bridal assistant, Jade, was fantastic to have nearby on the day of, and Joe, who handled setup, was also a standout. Our guests raved about the food and the view. Overall, the aesthetic of the venue was an incredibly backdrop to our photos, and it really set the tone we were hoping for. Our reception was in the penthouse, and the glittering skyline really made the party feel sophisticated and chic, and unlike any other wedding I’ve been to. We ended up with 150 guests, and the room felt full in a lively way without ever being overcrowded. We had some concerns about the hotel after reading reviews, and those concerns were promptly alleviated. They even upgraded our room to the top suite, which was the perfect size for 9 women to get ready on the day of. Would definitely recommend this venue, especially a reception in the penthouse if it fits your guest count.”

“My women's education and networking group, the Women's Professional Network (WPN) held an event at Revel 32 on the evening of June 29. The venue is simply amazing! Beautiful, well laid out for any type of event. On the first floor there is a greeting/social area. When you climb to the top of the beautiful stairway, there is a small area that leads to a larger meeting room. There is a beautiful bar between these 2 rooms. There is also a larger room with a lovely stage. On the third floor there is another room and an exquisite balcony overlooking the second floor. The venue layout was very conducive to a networking event like ours. The hostess ( Judy Hannon) and her team were so hospitable and warm. Parking is readily available next to the building or in the public parking lot across the street. I would highly recommend Revel 32 as a venue for any type of event. “Rustic Pines was an absolute dream of a venue, thank you all SO much! From the very beginning of my wedding planning process, Steph and the Rustic Pines team really stood out. When researching and contacting venues, they were not only the only venue to reach back out same day, but also the only one that actually seemed interested in helping me achieve my dream wedding. Steph was available by text or call literally any time of day or night for random wedding questions, planning, or inspiration. She was always open and interested in what I had to suggest and was nothing but positive and encouraging every time. Some of the things that Steph did for us that made this process SO much smoother were cocktail tastings, decor trials, and she even put together all of the reception florals that I bought in bulk! She always had an answer to my questions and if she didn’t, she would find out without worry. As for the day of the wedding, Steph and the Rustic Pines team had the ceremony and reception space completely set up and decorated for us without us having to lift a finger. I was welcomed into the bridal suite with a gift, a good playlist, and mimosas ready to drink! Steph was available all morning to grab us anything we needed and even made us coffee. She welcomed and coordinated with our vendors to ensure they were set up in the proper areas and that they were ready to go. The ceremony and reception coordination went very well and was completely handled by the Rustic Pines team. Wedding planning is no easy task and I couldn’t have done it without Stephanie! Other things to note: the lawn was IMMACULATE and the entire venue makes for beautiful photos. The gravel driveway was of no concern for our guests and the rustic pines team had a golf cart for any guests who would be in need of assistance getting to the ceremony space. They were extremely accommodating to anything I may have needed and I would choose Rustic Pines over and over again!”
