    Our wedding was excellent!

    We had our wedding at SRS last weekend and it was incredible. The ceremony on the pier was unbelievably scenic. The space was perfect for our 165 person wedding. The staff, especially Una (hired as our planner) were helpful and accommodating to basically everything we asked for leading up to the wedding. We had such a special day and a lot of that had to do with how great our venue was! Highly recommend SRS.

    Incredible Venue!

    Sound River Studios was the perfect venue. From our first visit we were amazed at how personable and committed to making our day special the team was. While most venues unlocked the doors and let us take a quick look, Una spent the better part of an hour giving us a full tour, showing us photos of countless possible setups, and answering any and every question we could think of. Throughout the planning process Una was always ready to help, not to mention tell us a great story. Nikola was also gracious enough to host us for a great tasting of the wine offerings from the family vineyard. The view of the city speaks for itself, but the space is also beautiful and very flexible. We were able to bring in a variety of outside vendors to transform the space in a way that fit our vision and felt very personal. SRS was easy to work with and the day of ran very smoothly, even with a variety of vendors. We couldn't be more happy with our experience. Highly recommend!

    Amazing venue with breathtaking view of Manhattan

    We had an incredible experience at Sound River Studios. The venue itself is one of the most unique in the city, with stunning views of the skyline and a layout that feels both expansive and intimate. Una and her entire team were fantastic from start to finish—always responsive, professional, and eager to help. Una was especially helpful in navigating our questions and unique requests with ease and clarity. Edo made our drink selections a breeze, and the bartenders were friendly and efficient throughout the night. We also appreciated the extra guidance Una provided during our visits, helping us select the right vendors and giving us great advice on logistics. For couples considering using the public pier, be sure to apply for a permit under Gordon Triangle (the pier itself isn't listed by name). Sound River’s website was also incredibly thorough—we found many of our initial questions were already answered there. This venue is truly one-of-a-kind and gave us the perfect backdrop for our day. Highly recommend!

    Event Planner hosted event

    We hosted my son's Mitzvah party at Sound River Studios and could not have had a better experience. The space itself is incredibly versatile; it transformed perfectly for our event and truly felt custom to us. What really stood out was the communication and flexibility. Una was responsive, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making everything run smoothly. She made the planning process easy and stress-free, which is priceless when you’re juggling a big celebration. The night flowed beautifully, the energy was amazing, and the space delivered on every level. If you’re looking for a venue that’s modern and adaptable, Sound River Studios is a standout!     Amazing Views and Hospitality!

    Sound River Studios is a beautiful venue - the NYC skyline views are unbeatable! It’s such a magical backdrop for a celebration. Una is incredible to work with—super organized, responsive, and just genuinely lovely. She made the whole day run smoothly and was a total pro from start to finish. Edo and the bar team were incredible, very hospitable and worked with us on the bar and delicious specialty cocktail. Amazing space and hospitality through the whole process!

The number of guests varies with the nature and design of each event, but SRS has a maximum capacity of 300 guests for cocktails (standing) or 250 for seated dinners with plenty of room for bars, buffet tables, a DJ booth and dance floor. We can accommodate approximately 250-275 for weddings that include ceremony, cocktails and reception on site.
The entire venue, inside and out, is at street level—no stairs or elevators. Two individual wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located in the entrance hall.
The 645-square foot kitchen is equipped with commercial refrigerators, freezer, sink, dish washer, ovens and sufficient power for any appliances your caterer might need.
SRS has recently added a spacious bridal suite / green room on the second floor lit by large skylights and equipped with a full bath and complete kitchen - additional fee applies - $1,500 per day (9am-12am). Pipe and drape or soft/moveable walls can be used to create separate breakout rooms in the main hall or a coat check in the entrance hall. Please discuss options with us during your site visit.
The north side of 44th Drive is public parking, and additional parking can be found along Vernon Boulevard and nearby side streets. With advance notice, SRS can usually accommodate a few vehicles near the venue for the use of select vendors as per a client’s wishes. See our list of preferred vendors to arrange valet parking service for your guests. Vendors must be carefully scheduled to avoid congestion when making deliveries and pickups. Delivery vehicles are usually able to find parking along Vernon Boulevard or 44th Drive. Also, there is a parking lot around the corner from SRS and they can arrange parking vouchers.
