Nile Sprague
Nile Sprague is the proprietor and cinematographer at Mendocino Photo & Video, offering professional videography services. With a lifelong career in documentary filmmaking and photojournalism working for non-profit organizations around the globe, Nile brings with him immense experience in working with families of different cultures and backgrounds. Nile’s passion to tell the stories of life led him to helping couples preserve their most exceptional day: their wedding. He has been showcasing the joy and candid nature of these occasions since 2008, presenting photographs and films that embody the beauty and wonder of lives coming together.
When working with Nile, couples receive a personal experience in wedding photography and videography. Because we limit the amount of couples with whom we works, we offer a boutique wedding videography experience and couples can rest assured that they will receive individual attention, making the entire experience all the more intimate and special. His tenured experience puts wedding-day couples at ease, letting them experience their momentous occasion in real time without worrying about the camera. Capturing people’s hearts is both a lifestyle and a passion that comes innately for Nile, and his rapport-building and guidance are genuine.

Best Videographer!
Nile was hands down the best videographer we could have asked for. From the beginning, he made an authentic effort to get to know my husband and I as a couple and as individuals. He is extremely organized and met with us multiple times to ensure he knew everything needed to support us on our wedding day. When the day came around, his calm demeanor was very soothing and helped us stay in the moment. He went above and beyond in every possible way and even stayed past his contracted time because we were running behind schedule and he knew we’d want footage of our first dances, which was so kind of him to do. The turnaround for our highlight reel was only a few days and was absolutely mesmerizing. The way he captured the magic of the day was truly phenomenal and beyond anything we had hoped for, and we were so happy to have an artifact delivered so soon after the wedding. We even requested additional video packages because we were so impressed with his work and how he told the story of our day! This says a lot because originally we were on the fence about hiring a videographer at all. Above all, it was really important to us that our vendors be LGBTQ-friendly, especially our photographer and videographer who would be working with our wedding party, and Nile was so inclusive and great at working with every single one of our loved ones. If you are looking for a someone you can trust to capture your day beautifully, look no further.

We made probably the best decision we could ever make in hiring Nile Sprague. The single most professional, thoughtful, empathetic, skilled, punctual, full of integrity, marvelous human beings I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with in my life. The quality of his work is nothing short of astounding. He is not cheap and that's a reflection of the shear priceless value of the work he produces. He genuinely cares about you, the customer, and wants to create something that you'll watch with tear-filled eyes in 25 years remembering the most important day of your life. Nile creates memories. He creates treasures. He creates heirlooms to be shown to your children's children. Don't make the mistake of hiring anyone else. Nile is the man to hire.

Incredible video! Nile was easy to work with, really dug in to understand our needs in terms of what we wanted captured, and delivered such exceptional high-quality video in such a timely manner. Really incredible person, too. His ability to interview people to capture those special moments and insights absolutely set him apart.
