Valerie planned the most incredible elopement for us in Iceland. And she did it all in under a month! This woman is fabulous and kind and an all around amazing human. She was even able to procure an entire picnic for us, that was vegan friendly too! She made all of our florals, and got them to the location we were at. I think she's a magician. Cassie was incredible to work with, my wedding day couldn’t have been pulled off without her!!! I had a Cape wedding with a handful of moving parts as opposed to everything happening in one place— from getting ready offsite in rental houses, church ceremony, coffee hour in between to fill time, then cocktail hour/reception at the venue— Cassie made the day absolutely seamless!! Originally I thought I could handle wedding planning myself with the help of our venue coordinator -- but as our wedding day approached, the overwhelming amount of logistics planning our wedding from the other side of the country sent me into a tailspin. Enter Charity -- leaving our first discovery call I immediately felt myself relax. It was an easy decision to hire her and my only regret is not hiring her from Day 1! Charity is kind-hearted, detail-oriented, creative, and knows her stuff. We hired her for "Wedding Coordination & Management" 5 months before our wedding, but her support went far beyond our expectations for that sort of service. As soon as we signed our contract, Charity was available to answer any questions I had (even little things like, are real or fake candles better?), and three months out she really dove in. She attended all of our vendor meetings, asking questions we never would have thought of, advocating for our vision, and reassuring our decisions. She managed communications and made sure we and our vendors all stayed on track. When it came to the wedding weekend (9/14/24), Charity was our biggest cheerleader and fierce protector. Leading our rehearsal she made sure to tell everyone that SHE was their point of contact and not to bother myself or my husband the day of the wedding. She arrived on our wedding day before any vendors showed up and stayed until the last vendor left. This woman walked over 14 MILES running around making sure everyone was doing their job and everything was perfectly in place on our wedding day. Our decor was set up perfectly, we ran EARLY on our timeline (I've been in a lot of wedding and know it's a miracle to even be on time), and us and our entire families were able to fully relax, unbothered, knowing that everything was being handled by a pro. When it came to the end of the night, we were able to go enjoy our after party with our guests without worrying about tearing down our event. We woke up the next morning to everything put away neatly back in their boxes ready for us to haul home. Charity's support literally followed through to the very last minute. To those brides whose venues come with a coordinator — I would seriously recommend still hiring Charity. A venue coordinator is not t he same as what Charity offers. That wasn't clear to me before, but it's very clear after. If you want someone who can support coordination across ALL of your vendors, be by your side in the months leading up to the event, and advocate for your vision throughout, do not wait until the end like me! We truly didn't have a single thing go wrong on our wedding day, and I am certain that would not have been the case without Charity! Events by Chrissie Sue was amazing! Hiring Chrissie Sue Coutu, owner of Events by Chrissie Sue, to help me plan my only daughter’s wedding was the best decision I made. Chrissie Sue was a joy to work with over the past year. Her energy, professionalism, creativity and incredible fountain of knowledge were invaluable to my daughter and me. We shared our vision with Chrissie Sue at our first meeting and she ran with it. When we got crazy, she was there to help calm us down and we all had lots of laughs throughout the year! I would also like to comment that Chrissie Sue was a pro at staying within our budget and showing us how to spend our money wisely. Chrissie Sue was incredibly helpful with choosing vendors and securing contracts. For example, Chrissie Sue assisted us with florist recommendations and then she and the florist, Petal & Wren, compiled a Look Book for us to review and have a super productive zoom meeting to nail down the details. My daughter lives in NYC so holding zoom sessions was important and Chrissie Sue always showed up with a detailed agenda and answers to our endless questions. Chrissie Sue was creative with all the table designs for the rehearsal dinner, the welcome party, and the reception at the Boston Harbor Hotel. She also worked incredibly well with Amanda, the event planner at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Chrissie Sue secured contracts for all of our transportation needs (buses, trolley, Rolls Royce) and assisted with the band contract. I could go on endlessly with all that Chrissie Sue did for us but you can see how helpful she truly was to an involved planning process. On the actual weekend, Chrissie Sue was on site for all the events. She supervised all of the vendors and there were NO hiccups at all. Chrissie Sue was truly invaluable to us that weekend – we never dealt with a single issue. Chrissie Sue is a leader and that was exactly what we needed to direct the endless vendors for that weekend, ranging from the band to the florist to the photo booth, etc. She also had an incredibly detailed timeline so the weekend would flow smoothly. Finally, I will say that when she opened the doors to the ballroom for my daughter and me to see our vision finally implemented, it was incredible. Chrissie Sue brought to life my daughter’s dream wedding and for that, I will be forever grateful. Hire this woman NOW!!!

My wife and I worked with Danielle at a venue and she was so fantastic, we followed her from one venue to the other. We were so interested to work with her, we sought her out. The building, the amenities and the food…important? I guess… but not as important as the person who is going to help you keep the event on the rails, be in your corner the whole time and do everything she can to make your day the best it can be. Someone once told me, “a bunch of things are gonna go sideways on your day, you’ll know, but no one else will. Just enjoy the whole thing.” Danielle made sure to make our day as perfect as it really turned out to be. It was 5 years ago and people still comment on the day. I can’t say enough good things about Ayden! I hired her later in the planning process, and my only regret is not hiring her sooner. She truly kept me sane on my wedding day. From quickly bustling my dress so I could get back to the party, to even helping my dad fix the hem of his pants—she went above and beyond in every way. My venue went through three different coordinators in the span of a year (something I never thought would happen, especially at such a nice hotel in Maine). The communication was a nightmare, and I honestly don’t know what I would have done without Ayden. She was relentless in trying to get in contact with someone when I simply didn’t have the time—I work a full-time, demanding job—and I didn’t even hear from the venue until about three weeks before my wedding. We still had timeline issues that needed immediate attention, and Ayden took charge. She finally got me in touch with the general manager, and things smoothed out from there. By the time the wedding arrived, I was so burnt out that I gave Ayden very little direction on how to set up some of my decorative pieces—and she absolutely nailed it. Everything looked wonderful and exactly how I had envisioned it (if not better). She kept me on schedule, executed every detail perfectly, and made the day feel effortless. I know wedding planning is expensive, but the stress and anxiety are just not worth the hassle. Having Ayden there was truly priceless. She is calm, collected, and incredibly detail-oriented—exactly the person you want by your side on your wedding day. If you’re on the fence about hiring a day-of coordinator, let this be your sign—Ayden is absolutely incredible!

We could write a novel about how helpful Elise and her team were on the day of our wedding and leading up to it. We cannot thank them enough for making our events run so smoothly! The weather report for our wedding day was very uncertain in the weeks, days and even minutes leading up to our ceremony. Elise was calm and provided expert advice throughout the uncertainty. She organized our rain back up plan without causing us any stress on the day of and truly made our vision come to life. She helped rework the schedule so we could get photos outside before the rain and had the entire bridal party comfortably inside before it began pouring. My guests (who were redirected to the rain back up venue) said Elise and her team were outside in the pouring rain happily and clearly directing guests to the ceremony, demonstrating true commitment! All around, our guests said that our "plan B" felt like a "plan A" despite the severe weather. We have Elise and her team to thank for that!! Their communication, flexibility, and expertise were unmatched.

We are so glad that we hired Jamie to be our day of coordinator and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to be stress free on their wedding day. We had previously hired a different DOC who had to drop out due to personal health problems. Jamie came recommended to us through our florist who had worked with her before. From our first meeting with Jamie, she instilled a confidence in us that we had never felt with our previous hire. She is a great communicator and clearly laid out what responsibilities she would be taking on. She had a series of meetings with us leading up to the wedding, handled vendor communication in the final week before the event, and put together a timeline based on our preferences and vendor preferences. We also hired her to do the styling for our tables which turned out exactly the way we had envisioned. On the day of the wedding, Jamie and her team took care of executing the timeline and ensured the set up was done to our specifications. We had a small snafu where I had forgotten to get pens for the guestbook and she took care of it for us. I am sure there were other areas where the event did not go according to plan, but Jamie and her team took care of them all. My husband and I both agree that we had a perfect wedding!
